Took forever to make my food, the worker was very slow. The store was so dirty and gross. I was given tiny portions. Disappointing

What a flipping joke of a place. If Scott Boatwright wants to know why Chipotle is slipping this restaurant is a perfect example. Ten employees walking around aimlessly with a line out the door at 7:30 pm and half a dozen people waiting on to-go orders. Apparently out of steak, which I ordered, and absolutely no communication as to why I was watching two turn-overs of the line go by after on-line ordering half an hour before I even got there. Smoke alarm going off. Condiment and napkin dispensers covered in filth and nearly empty. I'm literally watching one employee take two minutes to put a sticker on a bag and another texting as she walks back behind the counter swinging her pony tail all around the food. My first time at this spot! I came at around 2pm so it was VERY busy at the time but, it didn't take long for them to take my order. Once it got to my turn though, I was told they were out of chicken which I then had to choose a more expensive alternative. Wasn't very happy about this. Not to mention I saw a bit of cross contamination between ingredients. Not a super big deal because they'll go in the same bowl or burrito anyways but would be nice to keep things clean and in their place. Looking around I don't think this is a place I would sit down and eat. The seating area was dirty but I do acknowledge that the employees already seemed busy with getting the line down. I waited for 20 minutes in line, when it was my turn to order, I ordered steak and the employee started to make it only to have another employee come from the back and say they were pulling the steak for online orders and made them put the steak on my burrito back. They told me to pick a different protein. Every time I try to give chipotle another try the experience gets worse every time. This used to be my favorite place to eat out but it just awful every time now. read more

My husband and I went to this location on 9/18/25 at around 545 PM. What a disaster this place is! We stood in line for over 30 minutes because there was only one employee up front working and she was tying to make food, check people out, and give the mobile orders out. There was someone cutting meat the whole time who did not offer to help. I think he may have been the manager. Then someone came up from the back and made one burrito at a snails pace and then went in the back. Several people got out of line. The place was also a mess. This location has gone downhill fast. No one has an initiative to help customers. The line was out the door! We told the people in the back good luck because no one works or wants to help. We have been going to this location for years and probably eat chipotle at least once a week. I will never go back to this location again. Someone needs to intervene. read more

Standing in line 15 minutes before an announcement was made they were out of chicken and it's a 10 minute wait. 10 minutes turned into an additional 30 minutes. Out of chicken and vinaigrette at 6pm is insane. The tables weren't clean, serving line was a complete mess nothing wiped down. Drink and utensil area was a mess no forks had to wait for those to be brought out from the back. New management and complete overhaul needed. Terrible service. read more

Ordered food to go from here. Delivered by Doordash. Food was still warm on arrival. I ordered the chicken quesadilla with a side of brown rice. It was excellent. The rice was very moist and flavorful and had a nice cilantro touch. The quesadilla was also quite good with a perfect amount of cheese and chicken. I ordered a side of chips and guacamole as well. Chips were fresh and crisp with just the perfect amount of salt and the guac was great! My companions ordered a rice bowl, side of chips and a trio of tacos with chips. They reported their choices to be excellent. The only negative was the failure to include hot sauce with our meals. We were at a hotel, not at home, so had to do without hot sauce unfortunately. read more

I'll never understand the fascination with this place. I much prefer Moe's, and after at least a five year hiatus of not walking through Chipotle's doors my mind is still made up about Moe's being my favorite "Mexican" fast food. I ordered a chicken bowl and it was good, but there aren't many toppings to chose from, which I do not like. I elected to eat in and many of the tables were dirty. While there, an employee finally came around and took care of the cleanliness of the place. You do get a lot of food in the chicken burrito bowl, and I had lunch the next day. Would I come back? Ordered delivery through the chipotle app. I got a text at 11:55am that my food was approaching. I did not actually get my food until 12:20. The delivery tracker was also not working and I didn't have any information on where the driver was, I also could not contact the delivery driver. Food tastes like garbage and missing half of the ingredients we asked for in our bowls. All 3 rice bowls were very spicy and not sure why because nothing was spicy that we ordered. I think it might be the bite from too much cilantro. It's very difficult to continue eating when your mouth is on fire. The pollo asada and the regular chicken do not taste any different from each other. Don't waste your money. read more

I have never actually stepped foot in this Chipotle. Come to think of it, I've never actually stepped foot in *any* Chipotle. I'm a Moe's fan, and do still prefer Moe's tofu burritos to Chipotle's sofritas filling. But during pandemic times we caught wind that Chipotle does $1 delivery when ordering on their app. The deal and convenience was too good to pass up trying for this burrito-loving fam', so we gave it a go. And since then, have ordered $1 Chipotle delivery about three or four more times. Ordering on the Chipotle app is very easy, with lots of customization options. Delivery has been accurate, and usually pretty fast. Drop-off is contact-free, with good communication when food arrives on the porch. As for the food itself, the burritos from this particular Chipotle are pretty massive. My hubbs is a Chipotle fan, and noticed markedly different portions between our Chipotle deliveries from the Walden location and his takeout at the Transit Chipotle the other day. Walden burritos are like yule-log sized; definitely large enough to slice in half, eat over two sittings, and still be full both times. The ingredients from this Chipotle have always been fresh enough, too. No issues with the quality, overall. Personal preference still has me preferring Moe's tofu cubes over the Chipotle shredded sofritas filling. But with $1 reliable delivery, and still a decent burrito, beggars can't be choosers. If you have a hankering for a chain burrito, and don't want to go further than your porch to get it, I'd recommend giving $1 delivery on the Chipotle app a shot, especially if you're in delivery distance of this Walden store. I'll echo things others have said. It tends to be on my way and so I order pick up. And it's always incredibly late. Tonight takes the cake, however. There's about 20 people waiting for their order. So, I ordered and it gave the option of 6:20. I was like, no, I'll do 6:30 because of traffic. But things are clearly backed up - so why doesn't the ordering system adapt? Some folks are talking about long wait times still, which is why I figure I have time to write a review. Everyone also seems sad and overworked. More staff and pay them better. It also seems dirty - if you are online only, maybe keep the dining area clean? Most folks are coming in and out. read more

The food is never fresh. The employees always say the chicken is fresh it's dry overcooked and burnt. Rice is never cooked my rice was half cooked. This location is the worse. You can never speak to a manager when you call the store. read more

After spotting a social media frenzy about Chipotle's new cilantro-lime riced cauliflower, I knew I had to try it. As excited as I was to try it, reality wasn't as good as the fantasy. The cauliflower seemed more of a dice than "riced" and it definitely didn't hold the cilantro-lime flavor like the traditional white and/or brown rice does. I'm hoping it's a "new menu item" problem and not the norm. Otherwise I'll go back to white rice as a splurge. read more

This location was dirty and disgusting. The counters and tables were dirty. The Soda, straw napkin area looks like it has been unattended in days. The prep area was dirty behind the glass serving area. Spilled sauces dropped food on the prep area made it look like a school cafeteria that was manned by 5th graders. How was the food? Meh. Just slopped together like an Army mess hall. I have been to other Chipotle locations and it looks like the employees take pride in the store and wipe the areas down as they are working. All the steel areas are clean (within reason). Here the employees look like they were doing this job as a punishment. Not a pleasant experience. read more

When I got to the restaurant, I was not allowed to place an order because they were overwhelmed with online orders, and was told it would be about a 20 minute wait, so while sitting in the car waiting, I thought let me try and order online, so I did, and I waited for the app door dash to update to let me know when it was ready, so after waiting and watching for the update (it never updated) about 30 minutes later, I decided to go inside and look to see if my order was there, and to my surprise it was. Food: Quick lunch stop after being on the road. I would say the ingredients were actually a step above other Chipotles I've been to. They tasted fresher and so I really enjoyed the meal. Portion could have been a bit better though. Service: Service was quick and the workers seemed friendly. However, when there was no one ordering, one of the workers took off their gloves and started looking on their phone in full view. This is somewhat unprofessional and does increase the chance of contamination. Ambiance: It's a Chipotle around lunch time, pretty busy and can get loud sometimes. Only does online orders at what seems like very convenient times for them, such as Friday evenings when they want to go home or when they're not feeling like dealing with a line of people. There's been numerous occasions when it's not even close to closing and the "we're out of rice" and "we're out of steak" excuses come out. I did chipotle delivery, and my order was supposed to deliver at 8:04 PM. My order did not arrive until 8:29 PM, I called the Dasher and he said that orders got mixed up and he had to drive all the way back to chipotle and by the time he got to me, my food was cold in my rice was hard! read more

If you want to be late for work, this is the Chipotle to visit. My order was scheduled to be ready at 12:30. I knew that it wouldn't be, but 12:50??? Come on. And it wasn't just me either. I never have a good experience at this location. Typically just having to wait a lot longer than my mobile order time. Tonight, however, I placed a mobile order, paid, drove to the restaurant, and waited 20 minutes...for the staff to come out and say "we're closed" at 7:20pm. Stated I had a mobile order for 7:10 and was told "we stopped accepting mobile orders an hour ago." Wasted almost an hour of my time in total. Completely unacceptable. This location is a very busy place, but even so the wait isn't to long. As always you have choices of burrito, tacos, and rice bowls as your base. Next you choose your protein, or you can opt to go veggies only. You pick your other toppings/fillings such as cheese, salsa, beans, rice, lettuce, and guacamole (Xtra charge). I would like it if Chipotle, would put a little more effort in keeping the dining area a bit more cleaner. read more

I am not one to complain very often but this was outrageous and they offered no compensation in return. I wasn't the only other customer waiting forever in their dinning room either. Well, my 2nd fav location unfortunately went to shit. Several mishaps on this visit. 1) This place looks like it hasnt been mopped/swept since March. 2) make sure you understand CDC guidelines about social distancing / mask wearing before promoting yourself to resident corona cop 3) had a debate over what is hot "sauce" vs pico de gallo 4) make sure to know the proper bowl contents before making your mark on the lid (I ordered and paid for Asada, got a vegetarian bowl) 5)______________ insert another reason here Imagine my disappointment after driving 10 miles home, opening the lid (that had a big "A" for asada i assume) only to NOT see the carne asada, pinto beans, lettuce and no hot sauce. If it wasn't for the Sheridan / Delaware location, i'd give 1 star. I hope that location is still good cuz i haven't been there in about 5 years.
