Would not recommend this location. Went through the line and had my food made. Got to the register and remembered I had a promo code for free queso. The cashier then said that was for online orders only and would not honor it. The manager came to assist with a major attitude. All to tell me that I needed to step out of line and place more order online WHILE MY FOOD GOT COLD. He then made snide remarks to the rest of the staff regarding the matter. Could've been a positive experience and they could have honored the holiday promotion, but they chose to be difficult and condescending and disrespectful all at the same time. I just feel like you cannot go wrong with Chipotle at any location! The line staff are so fast! And they load up with all you ask for! How can you complain?! Just one though.... sorry! Well my wife just waited for over an hour for our Chipotlane order. Trapped in line for over and hour. Unreal. No one came out and offered to let us know they were apparently out of chicken. Just had to wait for our cold food (we didn't even order chicken). I'll even offer a solution...you let all the cars move ahead and park so people don't get stuck in line. People with chicken get to replace their order. People without chicken can get their food that has been sitting there for an hour....That was the most unbelievable fast food order and no one even remotely gave any guidance or offered a solution. This isn't even worthy of being called a "Chipotle". I've tried to dine here four separate times and have only been successful twice; both times were less than satisfactory. I have tried to call in an order (was placed on hold, never taken off hold -- waited about 10 mins before calling it quits), I have tried Uber Eats (which worked, but the food was subpar -- more on that later in the review) and have tried to eat-in twice (once with the line going outside of the broken door -- I left; the next, was successful, but took about 15 minutes to make it through the line -- only to have mushy rice, burnt veg, and (literally) a dozen (overly salted) chips for almost 2 extra dollars). Before I go too harsh here, I understand -- no one really aspires to work at Chipotle for any real amount of time. That is, I can understand it being hard to find motivated employees to go above and beyond when the situation calls for me; but none, of my experiences at least, have required the aforementioned "above and beyond" service; they have just required people to do their jobs. My latest experience was with using Uber Eats. I ordered a bowl with white rice, pinto beans, fajita veg, lettuce, green salsa and chips. When the food arrived, I was happy to see that it was right, but disappointed in the quality of the food. The rice was overcooked and clumpy, the beans were undercooked too firm, the veggies were burnt -- not charred, but burnt and floppy, and the lettuce seemed bruised. We ordered the extra chips only to find that it was more like salt with a side of chips. They were almost painful to eat -- needless to say, I did not finish them. I am not that I should have expected anything less based on my prior experiences (fool me once type of thing, ya know?). If there is a positive to take away from all of this, they can only go up from here. It is tough to find good people to work at a chain restaurant. Still, a little effort would go a lot longer than hiring anyone with a pulse to man your establishment. Saying all of this, you'd think the restaurant would keep in mind there is a Moe's (that has gotten TONS better -- though have never been as bad as this establishment), for less money (free, not overly salted chips and salsa), right across the street; one would think that might be a motivating factor to stand out -- in a good way, not in the way(s) mentioned in this review. 1/5. I will be as brief as possible, while trying to include all details that will assist you in making a decision that will allow you to decide if this is a place you want to patronize. Where do I start? I guess I will start with the online process, so there you have it. I submitted and online order at about 2:05 Tpm on 06/25/2020. I was under the impression pick up orders were so that you just pick up the order, and go, with no wait time. Little did I know that is not the process with this Chipotle's location. This is not the case, at least not on this date, at this Chipotle location. I placed and order for 3 people, as I was the runner. Upon arriving at Chipotle I noticed about 15 cars sitting in the drive thru pickup (already a red flag), so anybody's natural instinct is "Let me walk in and pick up my ALREADY PLACED ORDER". That was a joke. Little to my surprise did i know if you place and order online, you will be ushered right on back out side, in the drive thru with the other 15 +cars, so what is the purpose of preplacing and order. Well once I walked in and was ushered back outside in the drive thru with the rest of residents that live in Austell, Ga, I finally arrive at the window (I'm thinking Yea Me)! Not so. I arrived only to be told that our system is down, so I cant see your order that you placed, I sided eyed that lady (because this is beyond belief), as this is not acceptable. My thought process was,I don't know lady, what was in all three orders, as I am just a runner and only placed one of the orders. The rest of the orders are for other people whose information I didn't not take, as I don't work at Chipotle, and I didn't know I would be pop-quizzed about orders that was submitted, I was only asked to pick up the orders. The employee at the window stated I would have to provide her with what was ordered information. This is above my understanding, as I thought if and order is placed online you should know what was submitted. The lady reiterated their system was down (how often do we use that political BS Answer). At this point I am calling people who placed the order, to find out what was ordered, but at this point this became a drive thru versus a pick up orders. Had I known I would have to repeat orders already submitted online I would have stayed in the line inside, and not allow myself to be , from the point where I got out of my car to walk in to pick up, THIS IS NOT MAKING SENSE TO ME. My final thoughts are CHIPOLTE PLEASE GET IT TOGETHER, LETS GET A BETTER INTERNET PROVIDER, OR COMPUTER SYSTEM THAT ALLOW YOU SEE ORDERS THAT ARE SUBMITTED ONLINE, SO THAT CUSTOMER ARE NOT HAVING TO REPEAT ORDERS THAT WAS ALREADY SUBMITTED. THIS IS ACCEPTABLE OF TACO BELL, NOT CHIPOTLE. If you guys can't seem to get it together, try closing for a few weeks, and I am sure after weeks of loss or revenue the OWNER will figure out how to Coach the Manager, so that you can get it together.... and be able to accommodate online orders that are submitted in advance. Our 5th visit was a few weeks ago. Waited over 30 minutes in line. The girl checking people out was beyond slow. They were out of white rice, chicken and beans. It's a southwest Mexican grill, that's 3 of your 5 core ingredients. Seriously the worst service. The manager appeared to it on the job or at minimum stormed out of the location leaving her incapable team alone. She had a very bad attitude and was not apologetic for the fails of her team. This restaurant needs to be shut down and it has t even been open for 90 days. My food looked like my 3 month old daughter made it. Every single review that is on here is accurate. The whole staff needs to be fired especially since they have the audacity to tell me it's cause my food get squished when they put the tacos Togo. Was so excited to get a Chipotle near my house because I'd drive to the Old Fourth Ward just to get a really good one (Cumberland is closer but that flavor pales in comparison to the Old Fourth Ward location). I had high hopes for the home team but the Austell location is quickly souring on me. The first few times I figured it's new so hiccups are to be expected. They have been open long enough to have settled into a good groove, unfortunately, this is not the case! Management is subpar and scattered, wait times are extremely long, my orders have been consistently wrong, and the portion size is paltry. For this last visit, I placed an online order and went to the drive thru to pick up. When I picked up my order, the bag was so light, I thought they had to have forgotten the food! After pulling over to check my order, I notice half the toppings I ordered, some of which I paid extra for, were missing! It would have been nice if they informed me of this when I was handed the bag, when I was making the order online would have been even better. Come to find out they were out of rice, guacamole, and guess they running low on lettuce and chicken since I had so little in my bowl and tortillas since I had a baby one! I went in to speak with the manager after she finished talking to someone else with a problem with their order ahead of me. She says they were experiencing product shortages and I would have to wait in the line that was stretched to the opposite end of the store if I wanted my order remade. Well had I known they were out of staple items, I would not have placed the order! Shoot even if they said at the window, Sorry we are out of rice, guac, etc, would you like something else or a refund? This chipotle needs a floor manager. There's a lot of people floating around, but the service is super slow. Even the pickup area is slow, and there are 2 people back there. I sat here and watched the door dash guy wait 14 minutes for a bowl of food that was pre-ordered! All of the food inventory runs completely out before they holler about replenishment. It's worst than a "just in time" inventory function. It's more like a "just ran out" shop. . In 1 hour, no one ever came out to wipe the tables. Wait times are incredibly long! I placed a online order at 7:26pm and the app said it would be ready by 7:45pm. I didn't walk into the establishment until 7:55 and not only was it not ready they hadn't begun to make it. One of the teenagers working there told me it would be 15-20 additional minutes before it would be ready. 8:25 and it's still not ready and I asked for a refund, she said she would get the manager and that took 5 more minutes. The line inside was not that bad and honestly I could have walked thru it twice and be gone by 8:00pm. I was told that it would take 2 days b4 the refund would allocate back to my card and I could get in the line (8:31) if I wanted to. Worst service ever and the manger needs retraining. This is the worse Chipotle I have ever been too.. not sure how that can be because it's fairly new. It was dirty in there, the line moved really slow, and the portion size was much smaller than any other Chipotle I visited. The employees don't seem to care or even want to be there. I have been to this location about 4 times now. The first time was extremely slow. I am assuming it was because it was the first week open and the employees were still learning. They had no white rice and no sour cream. The third time I went, they were out of lettuce. However, today the experience I had left me extremely disappointed and frustrated. I placed a mobile order for 7:15 PM pickup through the fast lane and finally pulled up to the window around 7:47 PM after getting in line around 7:08 PM. Two cars drove out of line that were ahead of me. (This is how slow it was) I called to see what the hold up was and nobody answered.. no matter how busy they are, they could have answered and told me to hold on until someone was available to speak with me. Since I already paid, I was definitely waiting in line for my food. I get to the window and the guy at the window asked for my name. 3-4 minutes later, he comes back and asks for it AGAIN. My food was not even ready. I asked for a side of tomatillo red sauce the first time I provided my name. Once I got my food, the sauce wasn't even in the bag. I had to remind him. I also had a reward for a free guacamole and chips and forgot to add this to my order. He said I'd have to go inside to redeem the reward. After waiting for 45 minutes for food that still wasn't prepared, it would have been a courteous gesture to provide it for free. I never went inside to use it. While still waiting, another employee reached her gloveless hands into a fresh batch of chips and proceeded to sneakily eat the chips behind the scenes, thinking nobody saw her. Just gross and unsanitary. I know chipotle holds their employees to a higher standard. When I finally get home, to my surprise, I get home and discover the rice was hard and not cooked. A SUPER bummer. I can't even enjoy this meal. I am a loyal chipotle eater and have never experienced anything like this. I am truly grateful a Chipotle was built by me but this team seriously needs some help in becoming better and providing better service. Worst Chipotle location! The pickup station was a nightmare. Once you enter the line you couldn't leave, and there was nobody directing the patrons or helping the line move forward. Even if you tried to go inside to get your meal, your car was still trapped in line. I placed an order to be picked up at 6:15 and didn't leave until around 7:00. The food was ice cold and the kids meal was completely wrong. I was given two plain tortillas, two types of beans, guacamole when I actually ordered a cheese quesadilla, brown rice, and fruit. Although this location is new, it lacks the fundamentals of a chipotle. The employees are untrained to the point where they dont know how to roll a burrito. My burrito had to be double wrapped because "there was too many ingredients". Which brings me to my other point. At the time of my arrival there was a sign on the door saying there was an outage of lettuce. Come to find out when i get to the front of the 30 minute line, there was also no corn, fajitas, or cheese. All of these ingredients usually fit into one burrito at any other chipotle. But according to this one, even with the lack of ingredients, my burrito still had too many ingredients. I pre ordered my food and went at the time stated that it would be ready. When i arrived Inhad to wait an additional 20 minutes and it still was not ready. I had great issue as it was 2 salads. I asked to have my money refunded and was told i could not... I stated i would not be waiting any longer for 2 salads that i had already at this point waited an hour for and asked for Manager. Apparently the manager was not out on the front line while the place was busy and unorganized but in the back. I really tried to give this Chipotle location a chance, but after 5 visits and tonight's events I will not be returning. The place was disgusting with trash everywhere and tables uncleaned. With less than 15 people in line, I waited over 45 minutes to check out. That's unacceptable- I could have driven to the Barrett Parkway location in this time. When you finally get to order , the workers have no sense of urgency and almost every topping needed replacing. There were at least four workers not on the line who could have pitched in to help or help with the appearance of the restaurant. They then were out of ice at the soda machine , out of chips, and out of drink lids at 730 on a Saturday. Every time I come here it's been a similar situation. I love Chipotle and I really wished this location would improve for the surrounding area, but it seems like management has no care to make things better. Chipolte on East West Connector, Austell GA. I tried to keep hope alive, since this is the location close to me, but I just can't make any excuses anymore. I order via Uber Eats, and the order was as such EXTRA CHICKEN, TOMATILLA RED SALSA SAUCE & QUESO BLANCA............................sounds simply enough right. Well much to my dismay somebody's idea of extra chicken is 5 pieces in total, "WTH" was my thought. I am so over Chipolte, this location is getting worse by the pound. Now in their defense maybe the Uber Driver ate the extra chicken and the QUESO BLANCA; but all I know is those items never made it to me. Guess somebody;s full, and feeling good, but because this is not my first rodeo of a bad experience with this location, I am more prone to believe the order per my request just was not FULFILLED at the hands of the Chipolte Employees on staff at the time of my order on July 6 2020. read more
