Located in the Hanbury Village shopping center, China Sun (CS) is found on the left side of the strip (if you're looking at it). Don't ask me what direction, you have Maps for that. We were coming back one night from somewhere and everyone in our party was starving. We were actually heading to Harris Teeter to find something to put together quickly to feed the hungry children, but then I saw CS. I thought, Chinese food, it's always usually quick! So we headed there instead. We walked in to a typical Chinese takeout set up. There are faded photos of their dishes on the wall and a large menu that is on the right wall. I felt it was hard to see because of the fridge in the way, but they have printed ones on the counter. The menu is extensive like in most Chinese take out places. There are combo meals and à la carte sizes. For our party of 9, we ordered: - Sesame chicken - Kung Pao chicken - I thought Kung Pao was a spicy dish, but this one wasn't. - Beef Broccoli - Orange chicken - House special Lo Mein - Lo mein (noodles only) - this was for the tiny human picky eaters in our group - white rice and fried rice Everything was made to order so it was hot and fresh. The portions were a good size. All in all, I would say everything was good from taste, timing to service. I'll go back next time I need a quick and easy dinner. - Military - As of my visit in June 2021, they offer a military discount with presentation of valid ID. Thank you, China Sun! Stay safe, Friends!

Sweet and sour pork Orange chicken Lo mein without veggies Fried and steamed dumplings

I'm from San Diego and I can't believe that this place is one of the best Chinese food I've ever had. My husband loves it as well! If we are craving Chinese food and it's on a Monday (restaurant is close) we will not eat or get Chinese food anywhere else, we will just choose another type of food. This is how much we love this place. Our usual orders: Orange chicken Fried and steamed dumplings Sweet and Sour pork Lo mein no veggies And sometimes we get general Taos

Extremely over cooked C1. General Tso's Chicken

Just bought 3 lunches. 1 sesame chicken, 1 general chicken, and 1 garlic shrimp. Literally choked on the general chicken it was so dry couldn't even taste the chicken it was fried jerky. Kids wouldn't eat it. Kept spitting stringy over cooked chicken jerky in trash. Over all $24 down the drain. The garlic shrimp was good but colder than other two. Rice was good but that's what $1.00 at most

General tso lunch with fried rice and free drink.
will r.

Idk why I even try new places. This place is worth the 40 minute drive from my house. Everything I've ordered has been steaming hot and delicious. Love the general tso, low mein, roast pork and vegetable, chicken and vegetables, spring roll, bbq spare ribs etc. Right now they're still open, which is amazing. They take payment by phone and have your order ready when you come in. No contact, they leave you with pen to sign and you take the food and go. The lunch specials are great portions and filling. The vegetables are always nice and hot. The soup here is also good.

Super good food. Very similar to what Im used to eating from up north. The boneless spare ribs and Hunan beef are the best.

I had a taste for wings anf fried rice. The rice was okay, but the wings were small and over cooked. I won't be making a second trip.

Came here with a friend of mine who absolutely loves hot pot. I had actually never had it before,…read moreso I had zero idea what I was in for. But honestly, it turned out to be such a fun and tasty experience! For anyone who hasn't tried it: hot pot is basically a big simmering pot of soup right at your table where you cook all your own food. You pick all your ingredients from soup, veggies, meats, noodles, mushrooms, whatever you want and drop them into the hot broth to cook. It's super customizable and kind of like a mix between soup and DIY cooking right at the table, which is actually a blast once you get the hang of it. We both went with a hot, spicy soup base which was perfect for warming up on a cold day. I threw in broccoli, mushrooms, ribeye, and noodles. The best part is watching everything cook right in front of you and then pulling it out when it's just right. The broth soaks up all those flavors and gets even richer as you go. The flavors were amazing! Really bold and satisfying. The spicy broth was exactly what I needed, and everything we added came out perfectly cooked and delicious. It was warm and cozy, which made the whole thing even better since it felt like the ultimate cold weather meal. I look forward to retuning and trying something completely different!

We enjoyed spectacularly efficient and prompt service with food items coming within 2 minutes of…read moreplacing the order via the iPad. Clearing the table of our empty plates could have been more attentive, although it improved about halfway through the meal. The sauce bar was clearly labeled with dozens of options. There are many different broths available, plenty of proteins, though I would have preferred leaner cuts of beef. Don't miss the included cold appetizer options and deserts. I thought that someone had spilled fish sauce in the men's room but I found that the issue was that the urinal didn't flush. I'll pass on the fish sauce next visit!
