If I could give one star I really would.. the lady working this place was disgusting and rude. I was new to china one and was hoping to get an elegant meal. I sat down waiting for my food after I order the checkout lady was screaming my name from across the way... rude. Then I get my food, bite it and it is absolutely disgusting. Didnt taste like any food I had ever tasted. I proceeded to tell the lady that I was not a fan for what I ordered. She told me, "this is not a clothing store you cannot exchange" even though there was NOT ONE NO REFUND SIGN UP she continued to be very rude to me the whole time. This is the best Chinese food place I have been too since I was a kid. I live in long beach and travel down here just for their food. I'm pretty simple I just go with the chow mien and a butt load of orange chicken! this is also the place where I first tried taro tea, and lemme tell you, buckle up kids because your about to be blown away at how amazing and life changing this thing is, it will heal the sick, you'll walk again!!! FRESH ! ! 1st time here ordering to go, after reading reviews and it was well worth it. Food preparation takes a little long, but that's were the fresh part comes in, each dish is made on the spot, once we began eating you can taste the difference, ingredients taste fresh, not soggy. If I had to criticise something from our experience would be the pot stickers, and trust me I hate criticising pot sticker, oh those little bundles of yummyness joy, but these were beyond greasy, one bite and they pop and oil just oozes out, I stopped off course. We will be going back and would hopefully continue to be this satisfied . . . Worth the try read more

China One catered a party for us this past weekend at my son's home in Upland. We were amazed at how good the food was, and how affordable it was for a group! The order was placed by phone at the end of the week. The food was delivered at 1:00 on Sunday afternoon, right on time. Everything was fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant for your group get-togethers. Everyone loved the food! We are especially fond of the cream cheese filled fried wontons. This place is full of disrespectful peoples. I came in today hoping to have a nice meal. I looked at the oder seeing as I have never been here before. The lady was very impatient with me when I was looking through the menu. I ordered my food, waited then the lady called me didn't even bring my food to me. She had me walk all the way from the last booth then come to her. I tried my food in my car just to see what it tasted like. It was horrible the noodles had no flavor and the orange chicken was fried. So I back inside asking if I could please get my order back. The lady was very rude telling me that, "this is not a clothing store. You can return food" I have been to multiple places where if I didn't like something they gave me my money back. I was appalled. My husband and I stumbled upon this little place on one of our evening walks, and the folks there were very nice. The food was great and had a wonderful selection of Chinese food (both the familiar and some new stuff). Food came out fresh and very tasty. We've been there at least five other times, and only once did I have a complaint about the service. The one time we had bad service it was because the server wasn't paying attention to working and was text messaging while on the job. When we went back the next time, she no longer worked there (good save). Otherwise, every time we've been it has been a good experience and the food was always delicious. Price-wise, it is reasonable for both take out and dine in. I love their house special fried rice and soups. Yum yum yum! read more

Pros Cashew chicken was tasty - Lunch Special like 5.75 Cream Cheese won tons were pretty tasty and decently priced at 4.25 Cons: Noodles were more the consistency/thickness of spaghetti noodles.. definitely not typical chow mein... not super flavorful Fried rice didn't contain any sort of fried rice ingredients ( eggs, veggies) Cant get soup to go if you get take-out, but if you eat in.. the soup comes in a to-go container. That makes me it's just a ploy to save money since other asian food places have that rule. read more

It's a typical Friday night...The fam and I were extremely indecisive and hungry, on the verge of a cranky-hungry meltdown! Therefore, dinner was urgent. We didn't want to spend an arm and a leg on Chinese food, but we didn't want low-quality junk either. That is when we stumbled across China One. Upon entering, I noticed they were empty. This was a bit alarming on a Friday night. It didn't phase me though, since my hunger was out of control. We got the family meal, which came with egg rolls, fried shrimp, crab ragoon, wonton soup, and two entrees. For the entrees, we ordered the shrimp in lobster sauce and Mongolian beef. Let me tell you, that Mongolian beef was so tender and flavorful. It tasted great, as if I were sitting inside of some fancy smancy Chinese restaurant.The wonton soup was very fresh, as if they freshly made the wontons from scratch to order! I was starving, but I know good Chinese food when I taste it. The inside of the place was immaculate and the only down-side was their use of styrofoam plates and utensils. As a restaurateur, I don't particularly like eating off of styrofoam. But if washing dishes takes away from their superior quality Chinese food, the styrofoam shall have to do. These people did a great job for an unassuming little Chinese place, tucked away in a plaza. Bravo, China One. This used to be the spot for us (my boyfriend and myself). Not that we came here all the time but every once in a while when we wanted Chinese food this is where we came. About a week ago we walked into the restaurant on a Sunday, the sign said they opened at 11am. We got there around 11:45am an it was clear they weren't "open" they were moving appliances around an such. So we walked out. Moving onward, on Sunday we had the craving for Chinese food so we went here of coarse. A few things we noticed. The girl that's always there wasn't which was a bit strange. They changed the menu up, the slushee machine was off with stuff still in it and a "out of order" sign written out. The lady was somewhat nice taking our order. We got our food and I immediately pointed out to my boyfriend there was a slight taste difference. Couldn't put my finger on it. Well 6 hours later we were BOTH able to put our finger on it. The food was no good. I've never had food poisoning so bad in my life, I had to go to the hospital because of how dehydrated I had become. Needless to say we will not be coming back to this place ever again. If you go here just beware but I hope you have a better experience than we did. Food was adequate at best. Dinner price isn't worth it, you're better off going to Panda. It was hot, good portions, and service was great! Just not that great of food. It's very clean too, the only thing that deters me is that for the price, the food is not worth it. You're getting similar portions and almost same taste at Panda Express for like half the price. My family and I have been going to China one for about a year now. We at least go once every two weeks. The food is amazing, reasonable, and the staff is so nice and friendly. They have gotten to know my parents and in-laws. They will ask about certain family if they notice that someone is missing. I feel so comfortable with them that the staff has asked to hold my 9 month old daughter. I've received mailed coupons and they also offer delivery. I highly recommend China One! read more

I have been looking for a good Chinese fast food place. I thought this might be it. It was a sit down place. I decided to order take out anyway. I ordered 4 items. The sweet & sour pork, orange chicken, house chow mien & the crab Rangoon. The sauce was way too sweet & way too much. The food was soaked in it. I couldn't even tell if it was chicken that was used. The chicken used in the noodles was mostly the skin, the crab Rangoon was extremely soggy by the time I got it home. I was greatly disappointed with the food especially for the money I spent on it. read more

This place is great! I didn't give it 5 stars because the only thing I didn't like was the noodles in the wonton soup, which were super soggy, but still had flavor. I ordered take out and got the lunch beef pepper steak, which came with fried rice, chow mein, and a spring roll. I'm not a fan of spring rolls in general, but I enjoyed these. They have some very good smoothies, which they let you sample each flavor, and they come with boba if you want it! My boyfriend is a very picky eater, but he got the spicy chicken wings and devoured them! We will definitely go back! read more

This place definitely has great freshly made dishes. It's more gourmet cuisine rather than fast food under a heat lamp. I recommend take out better than sitting in and eating. My husband took us there with my three kids (who are well behaved at resteraunts) and we ordered three dishes. I felt like we were being watched the whole time we were eating. The heavier set lady that was our server seemed very unfriendly and cold.
