This is what mein means, literally means noodles.

I ordered $30 worth of food and ended up throwing it all out because it smelled and tasted horrible. Waste of time and money. I've never put something so disgusting tasting in my body. I thought maybe it's just smelled like body odor because of some oil they used? But it tasted like BO as well. Side note: DO NOT ORDER THE CHOW MEIN-- it is literally pig slop. There is no noodles-- it is just onions and undercooked chicken. Researched and online it said that it is not common on the east coast but some places say "chow mein" because the dish was revised to taste more like chop sewey that was popular in the Midwest. I called and they said that I should've ordered "lo mein" if I wanted noodles but MEIN LITERALLY MEANS NOODLES in Chinese. In addition to this, there was no mention on their website about this not containing noodles. Worst Chinese food I've ever had in my life. Minus well have taken $30 and thrown it in the trash, would've saved me some freaking time.

    Singapore Mai Fun.

I bought Singapore Mai Fun, also asked for hot oil on the side. I received hot sauce and there was no turmeric used and no egg which comes with it when I buy from other restaurants. Hope they take care of customers and not cut short on ingredients if they charge me almost $13.

"Sweet and Sour" Chicken with fried rice? Yuck!

This is the worst Chinese restaurant I've ever ordered from. I called in an order today for the "Triple Delight" from the Chef's Specials and an order of "Sweet and Sour Chicken" from the Combination Plates. I should have known something was wrong when the guy I was speaking to was ready to hang up until I asked him how long it would take. He said, "10 minutes" and then click. I walked into the place and instead of being greeted with "Hi" or "Hello", I was greeted with, "You here for pick-up?" I paid for the food and said "Thanks" as I was leaving and got no response from the 2 guys behind the counter. I brought the food home and it has to be the most unflavored/uninspired Chinese cooking I've ever tasted. The "Triple Delight" is advertised as hot and spicy which it was not, (only 4 shrimp in the entire dish), the egg rolls were tasteless and the "Sweet and Sour" Chicken with fried rice is terrible. If your looking for Chinese food in the Branchburg/Raritan area, you'd be better served going to ShopRite or Wegmans.

    Garlic beef... go for it

I'll round up to a 4 because I think 3 is just too neutral for China Moon. I visited only once for a sit-down lunch during the two weeks I spent in the plaza. I went based on reviews and ordered on recommendations. I heard the cold noodles appetizer is great but I went for the garlic beef lunch, served with rice, soup and chips. It was prepared quickly and served fresh, hot. I really enjoyed the meal and found nothing wrong, which is -in my opinion- the mark of a solid (primarily) take out Chinese joint. Ask for chili on the side if you want an additional kick in the tongue. The restaurant is a standard take out place with seating for about 15 for whoever wishes to dine-in. The restaurant is clean and has 2 bathrooms. The apparent owners were very friendly. If I lived in the area, I would be happy to call this restaurant my local Chinese spot.

I haven't been to one of these types of Chinese Restaurants in ages. Why? Because it's usually geared towards the taste of non-Chinese people. Being that we didn't want to go far and wanted something quick; this was the option. My girlfriend family go to spot when doing take out. This is a very typical of any Chinese Take Out Restaurant. Nothing out of the ordinary. Similar to others. The owner is bombarded with take out phone calls. My guess was that this is not NYC where there are Chinese Take Out every dozen blocks. This is New Jersey and probably the only one within distance. We got the usual suspect of dishes. Chicken & Broccoli, General Tso Chicken Combinations, and side of Chicken Wings. It comes with rice and egg rolls. Tasted decent and satisfied my stomach. Really no complaints. Kitchen staff was always busy cooking. They even ran out of chow fun noodles. Must be that popular around Bridgewater, NJ.

Nice looking shrimp we thought!!! Scroll to the next pics.

We have been going to China Moon for years and have never had a problem. We are always greeted nicely and are happy to eat our usual meals.

The food is consistently delicious and fresh. The staff is always friendly and happy to help you. The portions are also so large, if I order a large for dinner I easily have lunch and maybe a little snack leftover for the next day. I should also add that the price is very fair for the amount of food that they give you. No matter the day, the wait is never more than 20 minutes when we call ahead and it's clearly just a smooth operation inside. We have moved back to the area and will be visiting China Wok more frequently now. I am very happy about that.

There were 3 chefs cooking when I picked up the order. We got egg drop soup, crab meat fried rice WHICH WAS EXCELLENT and the shrimp egg foo young (3 patties with white rice and brown gravy). Also delicious! We will be returning ... I want to try their dumplings next and sweet and sour dish! The place is open for pick up with a few chairs on the side for people who need to wait for their orders yet. Very nice place. Next to the Bridgewater Bakery in the same strip mall !

The delicate…read morewontons were packed with flavorful filling and coated in a rich, aromatic chili oil that delivered the perfect balance of heat, spice, and savory depth. The sauce had just enough numbing warmth without overpowering the dish, and every bite was incredibly satisfying. The texture combination of silky wrappers and bold sauce made it an unforgettable starter. Beyond the appetizer, the restaurant offered a warm atmosphere and attentive service that made the dining experience even better. The presentation was thoughtful, portions were generous, and the flavors tasted authentic and carefully prepared. If you enjoy dishes with a little spice and a lot of flavor, the wontons in chili oil are absolutely worth ordering. I would definitely come back just for them.

Glad I made a reservation via Google Assistant b/c it was a full house plus tons of people waiting (1hr) for their takeout orders. Great sign! We ordered quite a bit for 3 of us b/c we're excited to try them out. We loved them all especially the wontons in the authentic sauce as it should be (not in sesame or peanut sticky sauce), the salt/pepper chicken as how I remembered from back home, the delicious noodle soup with tender beef and tendon, and the flavorful black bean fish. The restaurant is nice and clean. They're busy but the kitchen was pretty quick. The waitress brought out the dish as it's done, not waiting to serve all dishes at once. We actually preferred this way. The wait staff were attentive and friendly. We really enjoy our dinner. It's less than 30 min for us; we will definitely return to try some Sichuan dishes.
