This place is great. It may take a little while to get your food but it's well worth the wait. The food is cooked fresh, except for the rice for obvious reasons. I had rather wait for a while to get fresh food then get something you don't know how long it has been on a steam table. Any order you get, you can choose to have it seasoned the way you like from mild to very hot. We just moved here and have been trying to find our go to Chinese restaurant that's cheap. This place takes the cake and more. The amount of food you get for the cost is amazing. I dined in and still had probably enough food to take home for 2 more meals. My family got 4 meals and drinks and soup and it was only $30. We also got to eat the rest for lunch the next day. And when I said that I would be willing to get it separately he said that there was a 45-60 minute wait and that I wouldn't want to wait that long... What business says that............ Am visiting family and this is by far the slowest restaurant for carry out and call ahead orders they are extremely understaff and because of this their customer service is very rude. Food is great, prices are unbeatable! Loss of one star because it is slow. I get why...there are only 2 guys running it and doing everything and it gets busy. But it takes 5 minutes to make a quick stirfried meal when using woks that are 1000 degrees. If it takes 45 minutes to get that order out, then you need to get more help. Best Chinese in the area, no questions asked. Other stores simply do not compete. Shop is ran by two very hard working owners only, so every order is fresh and made to order. This is NOT a China Kitchen franchise or restaurant. They are a using the name and connecting to the China Kitchen website but this place is terrible. Very little cooked to order. Their fried rice was scooped out of a pot. Their sweet and sour chicken was deep fried chicken pieces and red sauce. No vegetables or pineapple with the entree. Their egg rolls were over cooked and the wasn't a spec of pork in them. Their menu on prem wasn't even representative of the online China Kitchen menu. The food was less than edible and ended up in the trash. Don't patronize this fake imposter. read more

The restaurant opens at 11am, we walked in at 12pm & order one daily special of mixed vegetables. The place was completely empty when we arrived and the two employees were still setting up for the day. It took 20 minutes to fill our order and during that time he lost several customers by advertising the 30 minute wait time for dine in service. He made a large carry out order before putting pre cooked, plain rice & pre cooked vegetables in white sauce in a small container with a pork egg roll, even though I ordered a vegetarian meal. It literally took him less than 2 minutes to prepare my small portion of food. It tasted like any Chinese place ever, not worth the wait or cost for how small the portion was. read more

I didn't get what I ordered I have been there twice, both times was a struggle. If you go to the menu on the website it lists everything as coming in Pt or Qt sizes, great that is how I love my Chinese. Call the guy up and order 2 Qts of Sweet and sour chicken and 1 Qt of Chow Mein and 1 Qt of Low Mein. The guy insists that the Chow Mein is not like panda express it has crispy noodles, yea I know that is what I want. Get food and I get a Qt of Low Mein and a bowl of Chow Mein but no noodles for it... then the S&S chicken is in a stryfoam tray with rice and a spring roll like Panda express... I was like NO, I ordered a Qt, this isnt enough. He said you never said Qt i insisted I did, the plate I was given is not even an option on the menu online. He said he could make me more but it would be a new order and take 40-45 minutes. I left. I tried one more time, same order. low mein and chow mein came same, but this time he remembered the noodles for the chow mein (I asked why i didnt get them last time, he said most people dont like them so he doesn't always give them out, but its what i ordered...) anyway, S&S chicken came out the same on a plate after i told him multiples times over the phone, "I want a Qt, a LARGE Box." I was assured that is what I would get.... nope. Will never go back. read more

Don't judge a book by the cover. I have eaten here a couple times now and it's the best Chinese food in the area. I drive from York just to get a to go order. Most orders are to go as there are very few people eating inside. There are 2 guys who work here. One Cooks and one takes orders. Besides being great food the price is great. Where else can you get a combo meal with a egg roll and rice for under $6.00 all day long. There is always a 30 minute plus wait for orders. Well worth the wait. read more

There is only 2 guys who work here (literally) so sometimes at dinner time you might end up waiting a little bit but it's never too bad. This little place has the best, freshest, Chinese food I have ever had. My husband ordered the #18 Sa Cha Beef for $5.25. He couldn't believe how tender the beef is. I ordered the #20 shrimp with lobster sauce for$5.25. I ate more than normal. It was so good, I almost started eating the leftovers on the way home. This is a two man operation. The food is brought to the table as soon as it is done, which means one meal at a time. Everyone gets their meal hot from the kitchen. Ignore the plastic plates and silverware, ( no time to wash dishes when there is only two). Order a carry out if you want real plates and silverware.
