Established in 2011.
Husband and wife team, Nick and Yen Azzaro met during college at the Stamps School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan. They spent years in Chicago refining their careers; Nick in commercial marketing and photography while Yen dealt major American art works for private collections across the nation.
Upon returning to Ann Arbor, they combined their skills and expertise into a consultancy, assisting private and business clients in all areas of marketing, publicity and design.
In November 2014 they will open a storefront studio in historic downtown Ypsilanti. The space will serve as a photography studio, consulting office and exhibit space. Events and details surrounding the opening can be found on their website at www.chin-azzaro.com
Meet the Business Owner: Yen and Nick A.
Nick Azzaro began his commercial career in Detroit after graduating from the University of Michigan School of Art & Design. Specializing in studio and environmental portraiture, as well as product and food photography, he moved to Chicago to work for clients such as Sears, Abbott Labs and the Chicago Tribune. His assignments included on-location projects for National Geographic in Amalfi, Italy, and photo shoots for smaller, local clients, Intelligentsia Coffee and Chiasso.
Yen Azzaro (nee Chin) is a writer, curator and consultant in the area of American art. She's curated dozens of exhibits including Robert Vonnoh, American Impressionist exhibited at the Butler Institute of American Art and The Responsive Mind, a vast collection of Op art of the 1960s and beyond. Her article on Chicago modernist William S. Schwartz is featured in the Summer 2011 issue of Antiques & Fine Art Magazine.
