They expect you to bring the vehicle back in exactly the same condition as you collected it, which is impossible when you're on holiday in a foreign country. And don't be fooled by a verbal "it's ok, we'll do it" agreement when handing the keys back because you will still receive cleaning fee, 20 times that of the living wage! Even if you return early enough to empty the van out, Camper Rent provides no facilities to clean it - you have to do this on the road before your return. Do yourself a big favour and read the Terms and Conditions document before taking the keys AND the Handover document carefully before signing it when you return the keys, you'll be surprised at the additional charges.

Our…read morepride and joy was hire out through Gary to his customers and we received many assurances that it would be looked after and returned to us in pristine condition with any damage to be paid for by the deposit held from the customers booking. It was hired out twice and during this time it was badly damaged, the awning was wrecked, the satellite tv dome was smashed, the bodywork was badly scratched, the bed slats were broken, the shower tray was cracked. We have had to repair all of the above at a cost of over £1000 plus a congestion charge of £60 incurred during the hire and we have not received a penny from Gary despite many promises. Our only option now is to take him to court He is totally unprofessional and has done nothing but lie to us. The latest excuse is that he has been kicked out of the home he shared with his partner, is living in the Motorhome and has no money. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!!

Finally I got wise and instead of hiring a removal company, I went to H&H, hired myself a van for £35 a day and did it myself (with a little help from a friend or two). They're the cheapest van hire in London with a range of small and large vans. All the insurances and mileage is included in the price. No fuss, pick up, move, drop off, done.
