I was blessed to meet the manager of a Chili's last week by accident while in a Dollar Store. We struck up a conversation about some cowboy boots I was wearing. He invited me to come by sometime, so I chose to do so on Sunday to watch some football and grab a bite to eat with my tenant. I am still reeling from the exceptional time we had! It's clear Steven the manager has a knack with people and service. His staff were by far some of the friendliest and happiest people I've ever seen in that industry. Everyone was happy, smiling, laughing, and provided fantastic service. It was like a Stepford wife movie, too fantastic to be believable. I met many of his friends, his girlfriend, other regulars and his boss, each one super nice. The food was fantastic as well, but I've never had bad food at any Chili's so that wasn't a surprise. Last week was my mother's birthday and she loves Chili's. Unfortunately with all the talk of Coronavirus we just decided to order out the food with their 2 for $25 deal! I got the grilled chicken salad which was great and my mom got the chicken fajitas which she loved! We also got the huge cookie and ice cream as a dessert which was delicious. We had chips and salsa and guacamole as our appetizer. When I picked up the food and got home I realized they forgot the chips for the salsa and guacamole. When I called to ask about it they apologized and were willing to let me come and get it. I appreciated their great customer service! One more reason why we love Chili's. read more

You would think a thin California Flatbread with avocado and tomatoes would be relatively healthier than some of the options but NOPE! It was around 1459 calories with over 850 of them from fat. The flatbread fell flat. I guess I should have expected that. It was more visually appealing than anything. The taste was all right but the texture of the flatbread was definitely unremarkable. There was also a lot of mayo-like sauce on top which is probably where all those added calories come from. Do not come here if you are in anyway counting calories. Other than that, this place is pretty clean and they have happy hours on margaritas where you can buy one and get one free. They have a digital device that allows you to split the bill and pay by card but I didn't see anyone use it. read more

I would tell you to pick a different restaurant! 1- had to ask for under the table to be swept. 2-husband asked for a soda refill four times and NEVER got one! It I did get an ice tea refill once. 3-asked for extra sauce when I ordered my main entrée. Never got it and asked for it to two more times after getting our food. NEVER got that! 4-husband took our toddler to use the men's restroom and the bathroom was COVERED in vomit. (After watching 3 male employees go in and out a few times right before my family went to the bathroom!) 5- extra things on our bill we didn't order or even ask for. I sent it back and they must have microwaved it the potatoes were tough and tasted uncooked. Had to ask for drink refills. Waiter got the bill wrong twice. They dropped my food on me and instead of apologizing or taking it off my tab they left it on the floor next to me for our entire visit. Also, we found a very very long hair in the bottom of one of our dishes. They responded as "we don't have anyone with long hair in our kitchen". I met a friend at the Chili's at 265 S. Abilene in Aurora this evening. By the time I got there, my friend had already arrived and ordered me an iced tea and had chips and salsa on the table. My friend needs food that's gluten free so it took a little while to figure out what she could eat that didn't have gluten in it. "Whitney" our server, was very nice and helped to figure out what she could eat that didn't contain any gluten. Whitney brought over the manager asking about the shrimp tacos because the last time she was there, the shrimp was apparently not grilled and seemed to be boiled and rubbery shrimp. She asked if she could get the shrimp grilled but the manager said no. He was very dismissive and didn't seem to give a crap. My friend ended up ordering a burger (cooked medium) without a bun and I ordered the Ancho Salmon that comes with a green pesto sauce on top. I have had this meal at least 10 times at another Chili's over in River Pointe and it's always delicious and cooked perfectly. Anyway, it took a while to get our meals and when they arrived, my friend's burger was way overcooked and dry. My Ancho Salmon showed up overcooked, burnt on the edges and had absolutely no pesto sauce on it. When we told the server, she had the manager come over to see what the results of our order was. He dismissed my friend's burger complaint and said "we don't put the sauce on the Ancho Salmon anymore", regarding my meal, even though it says what comes on the salmon right on the menu. They basically slapped some salmon on the grill, over cooked it, and sprinkled some cilantro on top. It was flavorless and boring and burnt. This was the most disappointing Chili's visit I've ever had. I asked the server what I owed to this point and she came back and said "nothing". We felt badly for the server because none of this was her fault (we left to go somewhere else but I gave her a tip for being so sweet and apologetic), but the manager didn't really care about his behavior or his lack of caring over his customer's disappointment in the quality of the food served at his restaurant. I will NEVER go to the Aurora Chili's again! I'm sure the manager won't give a crap about that either. I'll just continue to go to the one at River Pointe. At least they prepare the food according to the menu and the way the customer orders it. read more

Not to bad for a chilies- They're pretty much the same with few exceptions- Locations are better by fresh food, service, and cleanliness- Two out of the three was not bad- My burger was not that great, but on the plus side my margarita was just right- We did sit at the bar when we arrived just as it started to rain out side and felt like the air-conditioner inside had me shivering (hence the drink) till I was done eating- But the bartender was friendly and the restroom was clean- I like coming here for the 2 for 20 bucks deal - Two people can eat for twenty bucks-(not drinks) They do have options on what food to choose from and I always get the same on mine - *Texas fries as our appetizer You can't go wrong with jalapeño and cheese on top- (yum) *The bacon cheeseburger - (Yeah Bacon!) We wanted to go to Chili's to get chips and salsa since their chips are always so thin and crunchy, and the salsa is good. We saw this ad for free chips and salsa with an online order, so we figured we would get some queso as well. We went in to pick up our order and they insisted we had to buy an entree despite that the coupon said "an additional purchase" with no further qualifier. We cut our losses and paid for both the queso and chips and salsa. They wouldn't honor their own deal. In my mind, that warrants an automatic drop to two stars. We got home and opened our queso....I swear it is blended Hormel chili. By definition, queso is cheese. Not much cheese there. If there is any, it is not abundant. The only saving Grace is the reliable delicious chips and salsa. read more

Had a nice experience here tonight. Came in and tried their 3/$10 (drink,app, and entree all for $10) promotion. I was hesitant at first to the quality of something for such a deal. O also wondered if they would be less than regular portions. What a suprise though! Full size apps and entrees. The potato soup and chips and salsa were great apps. Had tons of freshly made tortilla chips to bring home. The soup was prefect for a snowy night. For entrees we had the Cajun chicken pasta and the Only Bacon Burger. Borh excellent. Service was quick, food was fresh, and waiter was great. Would definitely recommend . Only minor complaint woukd be that some of the food slightly on the salty side. read more

This location is always hit or miss. 1st time I ordered Cajun Chicken Pasta there was virtually no sauce and the noodles were undercooked. 2nd time I ordered it, it was drenched in sauce. This is my first experience with their To Go and I will not being doing it again. The fries were extremely old and lukewarm while the Queso Burger that I ordered well done was not close to well done and hardly had any queso on it. Not impressed! read more

The Cajun Pasta is my favorite (you can get it with chicken, shrimp, or both) but the Smokehouse Combos are very good. His particular restaurant is pretty clean and the staff very nice. She then said "Ok so were right in the middle of lunch & all you need to do is fill out an application".... I already did that... and once again all I was asking was if they were hiring. As small as the details are this was one of my favorite visits today. I ordered online, showed up way earlier than expected and figured I'd wait the other almost 15 minutes before calling it in. Normally, I love chili's, and my boyfriend and I even used to eat at this location frequently. However, the most recent time that we ate here, I suffered from the worst food poisoning I have ever had. I had the mango chicken and broccoli off their healthier menu, and almost immediately after leaving, I felt a little queasy. Within just a few hours, I was throwing up and stuck in the bathroom with nausea and painful stomach cramps that lasted all night. After a visit to my doctor the next day, they confirmed it was food poisoning that seemed onset after eating dinner. I was sick for a solid 24-36 hours or so. When I recovered, I called this location at my doctor's recommendation simply to let the manager know that I got food poisoning after eating there, and maybe they should check that the menu item is ordered was stored and cooked properly or that their batch wasn't contaminated. The manager I spoke with came across as very busy and only half listening to me, even though I called during what generally should've been a slow time for them (I used to be a server, so I understand and sympathize with the general "rush" times). I didn't call to complain or to try and get anything for free (believe me, I won't ever be able to stomach chili's again!) I only called because my doctor thought it would be good to notify them. I was so disappointed with the manager's lack of interest or concern to prevent someone else from getting sick, too. The manager didn't even ask me which item I'd ordered. Food poisoning can happen purely by accident at any place, and while it was super unpleasant, I understood. However, that understanding vanished when the manager treated my food poisoning with a complete lack of concern. What was a miserable 24 hours for me might have been a hospital visit for an elderly patron or a young kiddo. I'm severely disappointed at the lack of health and safety concern the management clearly showed in this interaction. I will not be going back. read more

Maybe it's just the results of COVID restrictions and bad policies that have caused staffing shortages, but the early dinner we had was absolutely terrible. We ordered the sirloin medium rare and came out rare. The steak was bland and had no taste. There seemed to be only one waitress who was working her butt off to take care of every table. I went to this restaurant for dinner with my roommates and her family. Ambience is nice and it was not too loud. We were seated pretty quickly and our server was attentive and gave his opinions on what's best. We ordered queso with spinach appetizer which was delicious!!! we all loved it. It came with chips and salsa. I ordered a black bean veggie burger! A little disappointing at first because the server brought it in a burger which looked like meat to me. He was staring at it and was questioning it himself. I told him that it doesn't look right to me and he agreed and had it switched. So, no foul there! However, I was still upset because I have been a vegetarian all my life and I would hate to think this could have been the reason for my frantically crying at a restaurant! The burger that he went and replaced was delicious and he even gave me extra guacamole on the side for my burger. I loved the flavors. It came with french fries. I was too full from the queso to really eat anything. The order did take a really long time to come. Something else that I felt wasn't appropriate is that they did not bring our check out 20 minutes after we asked for it. This was after we had to seek them out to ask for a check. We have frequented this establishment for years. Today we we looking forward to our same old haunt. We got there with no waiting line apparent. The hosr at the front door informed us that there was a five to ten minute wait to be seated. I looked into the bar and there were numerous tables open. There were even more open tables in the main dining room. When asked why we could not sit in the bar, he informed us that " She just had a table seated and it was a 5 to 10 minute wait all around. Being in the customer service industry for some years, I am aware of the do's and don't of hospitality positions. This guy has a lot to learn about them. We came here for their late happy hour and dined in the bar area. What a great little happy hour. Select appetizers are between $2 and $6. Two Classic Margaritas for $6.49. And now they offer the little portable TV game box for only $1. Chili's is really starting to up their game and I love it! Our waitress was very nice and checked on us a lot. The food was delicious. I've always liked Chili's, especially their Enchilada Soup and Salad combo, but now I think I really like them. I've been a fan of the Chili's chain for many years now. I was a line cook for Chili's for a year and ever since, I've been hooked. From personal experience, the food in the kitchen for the most part is extremely fresh and everything else is just shipped in frozen. So much of the food prep is done every morning to ensure food is fresh and delicious! This Chili's location is one of the worst I've experienced. When we walked in, I politely asked the hostess to seat us away from any families and little kids. If that wasn't possible, we'd just sit in the bar. She said it was no problem and brought us one table away from 2 families with babies. I was really irritated... every time one of those little brats screeched I wanted to strangle the hostess. It was also around 9:30. The dinner rush was over and the restaurant was not packed. I can't see how this was a difficult request. Chili's has a new special where 2 people can eat for $20 bucks. Split an appetizer, each pick an entree' and split a desert. My boyfriend and I decided to try it. Our appetizer of chips and queso was good. Nothing bad, it was just as it should have been. I realized half way through our appetizer that the waitress never asked me how I wanted my burger cooked. So I was just hoping for the best. Entree' time... I had a bacon burger and my boyfriend had a buffalo chicken salad. My burger was so over cooked that it was dry. There was also no mayonnaise on the bun. I requested a side of avocado ranch to dip my fries in, and it tasted like some lazy salad cook made a huge batch of it days ago so they wouldn't have to do it again for a few days. It tasted old. My fries tasted like they had been sitting in the window and then just dropped back in the fryer for a bit to make them seem fresh... but I know the difference. Dessert was fine. I can't imagine how you could screw up a pre-fabricated, frozen, pop in the microwave molten chocolate cake. It was soooo good! Our service was also very good. This waitress looked scary as hell with her eyebrows shaved off and painted on about an inch above where they should have been, but she did a really good job... minus points for not asking me how I wanted my burger cooked. I've eaten at many Chili's locations and this one has made the bottom of my list. I been coming to this chili's location since I remember moving to aurora and today I was disappointed with the way they handle already cooked food, as I'm waiting for my Togo order I see 2 different people handle other peoples food and my food with their barehands when one of those people was touching other things that weren't food related and they aren't in the cook line, this was disappointing because if they are doing this in front of customers!! What else are they doing behind the line that we don't get to see. People can get sick from this. I find it disgusting. read more

I love Chili's so much! This is definitely a good location. Our server claimed she had worked there for about 11 years. She was very friendly and helpful when we ordered. The food was ordered and brought to us in a timely fashion. My girlfriend hates cilantro and they worked with her to find a meal that best suited her needs. I was surprised she wasn't in a management position due to her charisma. The parking lot was filling up but there were definitely some spots. Bathroom was clean and smelled great. I never had good experiences at this location. Watched a movie with my 11 year old and wanted to grab something to eat . It's been a year since my last piss poor experience there, So I'm hopeful it's improved with the time that's passed. In short, it hasn't. Got sat at 4pm, Really empty, Waiter greets us at 4:15 and ask for our drink order. We place that as well as our food order jointly since we've had 15 minutes to revel in the menu options. Food came out about 10 minutes later but still no drinks. The waiter apologizes and tells us he'll buy us a dessert for the poor service thus far Goes back and gets our waters. ( Which had floaties in it so I couldn't drink it). We eat. No check in. Food was okay. We wait for him to come back. Never does. 15 more minutes pass. Annoyed, I pay on the kiosk at the table. As I am signing my name for the payment, my waiter who was at a register behind me tells me to have a good day . (No mention of that free dessert) I will never come to this location again. The only reason this place gets good business is because of where it's located. They need to overhaul this whole place! Their bad service will eventually catch up to them. read more

Stopped in last night with the kids on our way to the caucus for an easy dinner. We were seated promptly and had a friendly attentive server. We ordered an app, 2 entrees and a kids meal. Everything came out in a timely way and offerings were solid. I had the shrimp tacos, son had chicken crispers and daughter had kids mac & cheese. The server did not refill my kids sodas without asking me first which I really appreciate. I was able to pay using the tabletop kiosk and be on our way. read more
