Everyone knows how important it is to have a will or living trust so that if something happens to…read moreyou, your heirs will be protected - bonus points if you can make the process of settling your estate as easy as possible. The problem is, it's one of those tasks that often gets bumped to the very end of the "to do" list when it really shouldn't; it seems too difficult, complicated or expensive. We hired Stephen E. Grant to draw up our living trust and he made the process incredibly easy for us - starting with a clearly worded, detailed intake form that really helped us crystallize what we wanted to include. He communicated clearly with us throughout the process, patiently and accurately answered all our questions and drew up a solid, thorough estate plan including a living trust, wills and health care POA for a very reasonable price. We are so glad we didn't procrastinate and finally got this done. Quality legal counsel doesn't have to be intimidating or prohibitively expensive and Mr. Grant made it a smooth (and from our end) easy process.

I've consulted with John Calvo on two different legal matters and have had a really good experience…read moreboth times. The first was related to an inconsistency I ran into during a mortgage financing transaction. I wanted to understand what could actually be enforced while the transaction was happening and what options I might have afterward. John was very direct and explained not just what he thought, but why. That was important to me because I've had consultations with other attorneys where I left still wondering what was actually possible and why. With John, I walked away with a much clearer understanding of my options, as well as how to navigate such situations in the future. More recently, I joined my HOA board and wanted to understand the main risks I should be thinking about, both for myself and for the board and association. I think I got about two minutes into the conversation with John and it was a firehose of useful information. He quickly gave me a list of things I should be doing now and some things to think about longer term. One of the things I really appreciate about John is that he's upfront about what he knows and how he can help. If something is outside his area, he's willing to tell you that and point you toward someone who can help rather than run you around just to bill you. I strongly recommend John. He's knowledgeable, straightforward, and takes the time to make sure you understand the situation and your options.

The advice I got was not only unhelpful, it would have led to my eviction. Then I called Lighthouse Law Firm and spoke with John Calvo. From the start, John took my situation seriously. If you're dealing with a tough housing situation, I highly recommend Lighthouse. They took the time, did the work, and helped me protect my rights.

I contacted Richard S. yesterday to inquire about obtaining more information regarding a living…read moretrust for my parents. During the call, I explained that my parents had already scheduled an appointment with an independent LDA, and before I could finish explaining the situation, he abruptly interrupted me and said, "They want cheap. I'm not cheap," and then rudely hung up. The purpose of my call was specifically to explore having my parents work with an attorney instead of proceeding with the LDA, and I was prepared to pay for the legal services myself. Unfortunately, I was not given the opportunity to explain this before assumptions were made about my parents' intentions and the call was abruptly ended. I found the interaction extremely upsetting and unprofessional. Regardless of whether someone is a potential client, I believe every person deserves to be treated respectfully and given the opportunity to explain why they are calling. Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable recommending this attorney.

My situation was an 8-year stint which involved a mom with Alzheimer's, a sister out of state, a house with an encumbrance that my sister and I inherited, a court date, buying my sister out with an enormous loan, lots of paperwork and documents, and a property tax situation. Justin handled this entire process with professionalism. He is very down to earth and such a wonderful person, that it made a complicated matter much more doable. We needed other professionals as well -- a new trust CPA, a property tax expert, and a hard money lender -- and he referred us to all of these nice quality people, who have been incredibly helpful. This made everything easier as we were, many times when necessary, on an email thread together, working symbiotically, which simplified everything. Having worked with attorneys as a court reporter for many years and also having hired a quirky attorney prior to Justin who handled previous matters, moving on and hiring Justin on a fairly complicated matter was a delight and actually resolved some issues that couldn't seem to get resolved with the previous attorney. I always felt confident that he had my back and that "he's got this." Along with being a very professional attorney, I really like him as a person. Although most everything is coming to a close, with a few last hurdles that my husband and I will handle, I will miss talking to Justin! Lastly, how I found him was on Yelp, and what convinced me to hire Justin were all of the other wonderful reviews from his past clients. Hire Justin because you won't be disappointed! :-)

I first contacted Law Office of Anthony D. Zinnanti after the law office was originally recommended…read moreby the SFV Bar Association. I initially used Anthony for the Estate Planning and Living Trust preparation for my relative. After working closely with Anthony and discussing my own estate planning needs, it became very clear that my original trust and estate documents from 1996 were outdated and did not include many of the updated provisions and protections needed in today's world in 2026. Based on his knowledge and guidance, I decided it was important to complete a full reinstatement and update of my own estate plan as well. Anthony D. Zinnanti has an extensive and very informative website that clearly explains pricing, the estate planning process, and provides forms and questionnaires to help clients prepare the necessary information for their trust and estate documents. He also offers a complimentary phone consultation, which was extremely helpful in understanding the process and determining the best direction for my estate planning needs before moving forward. One of the main reasons we chose Anthony was because of his extensive knowledge of estate planning, real estate laws, and probate avoidance strategies. His experience and ability to explain how to properly structure and update our estate plans to help avoid probate gave us a great deal of confidence. It was very clear that he understood the legal and practical aspects of protecting assets and ensuring everything is handled properly for the future. Anthony ("Tony") and Lisa were trustworthy, professional, patient, and easy to work with throughout the process. Tony was straightforward and honest, and he took the time to explain exactly what I needed for my estate plan without pushing unnecessary services. That level of integrity gave me confidence and peace of mind. Tony also provides a detailed Engagement Letter that both parties sign before the estate planning work begins. The Engagement Letter clearly outlines the scope of services being provided, along with all associated fees and costs, which I found to be very professional and transparent. Once the agreement is signed, payments can conveniently be made in two installments, which I completed through Zelle. There is also an additional fee for Lisa's notary services, which I found very fair for the professional services she provides. If you have properties that need to be transferred into your living trust, their office can also assist with preparing and recording those documents, with the county recording fees paid separately to the county. One thing I especially appreciated was how convenient and flexible the process was. Everything could be handled over Zoom, which made the entire experience much easier and more efficient for both sides, especially since time is valuable in all our lives. Their ability to work remotely while still providing personal attention and guidance was extremely helpful. At the completion of the estate planning process, I was provided with a professionally organized leather-like binder/notebook with tabs containing all my estate planning documents, along with a USB drive that allows me to securely store and access my entire estate planning portfolio electronically on my computer. That level of organization and attention to detail was extremely impressive and reassuring. I feel very comfortable having placed my trust in the Law Office of Anthony D. Zinnanti, and their estate planning services truly put my mind at ease. If you are looking for an honest, knowledgeable, compassionate, and modern estate planning attorney, I highly recommend this law office.
