They seem to care more about money than your children make sure you pay on time even if they aren't available you better find a way, also don't believe them when they say they will get your children on their zooms, the office is good at it but they don't try that hard at the school age kid level Update after speaking to me through google review; We have spoke and this is my review of this company. Someone is not always there as we came in at 830am on the 4th to pay since paying over the phone was "complicated" no one was in the office. 2nd Update; another billing issue (imagine that) called to make my payment, glad they were able to, asked the amount which they gave me I agreed then paid. The next day they tell me that we owe them $200+ because they raised their fees. I called back to find out what was going on. To which Tracy said she just looked up last month which was not the new price. She proceeded to tell me that they sent out info that the prices went up over one and a half months ago, yet in previous conversation there's no remark about this? and no information was sent to me. My granddaughters have been attending Child's Time off Mtn Hwy for about 9 years now (since the oldest was in diapers). They teachers have been amazing with both the girls. Especially now with the distance learning, they have really stepped up to make sure they get on their Zoom meetings and assist when they can with their assignments. After finding out that the Owner who operates this facility requires that staff members who are sick or their children are sick (with a 103-104 Fever) still come in for work/childcare, I am thoroughly disgusted by this. She told staff members that they can bring their sick children in and keep them in the office! I don't know about you, but I don't want my children around other sick children/individuals. It pains me in knowing that she does not care for employees, or attending children. Do NOT sign up for this daycare! Find another daycare center. I will be taking my CHILDS TIME elsewhere. read more

My son has been going to this daycare sense he was 1.5 years old. The teachers there are so loving and treat him as if he were their own child. Ive never had an issue with anyone.. The office staff always are so attentive and go above and beyond for my family. I highly recommend this daycare. I'm a father, divorced, and my kids go here currently. I have a clean record and served in the military for 12 years. I have never been hostile to any of the staff. I am no longer allowed on the property because my kids were coming home bruised/hurt and my son's diaper usually was dirty when I picked them up and I had reported that to CPS. Although they still allow my ex's two boyfriends with felonies to pick up my kids. The owner refuses to communicate with me (I have legal rights to daycare decisions under the parenting plan) and of course my ex is loving that this is making my visitations harder. This review will most likely get taken down or contradicted by the owner as to cover it up. I think that the child's time on mountain highway is spanaway is a great Childs care. My daughter has been there just short of 2 years and I have never had a situation come up that we couldn't sit down and work out a solution for. They have great open communication and great suggestions and options. My daughter loves the ladies there and they genuinely care about our children. I've been running around all week trying to get my son in here, the location and hours are perfect for me. Then after spending my lunch handing in my enrollment paperwork I get a call that even though their hours state 630, because my son would be in the infant room he'd need to be picked up by 6. I work until 6, which is why I chose this center to begin with, very misleading. I then went and spoke to my employer to see about getting my hours worked out, got it covered and called back not even two hours later (mind you this is all in the middle of my work day) and they've already replaced us and no other daycare in town has room so thanks to the lack of professionalism I now have no child care, which means I may lose my job. Update. The owner responded with lies. I could not believe the dishonesty of this response. I am limited on space so please bear with me. In response to the first paragraph, this is grossly untrue. They did give me a few handouts on his biting and refer to me what I could do. I took my son to the doctor and to a child psychologist as well. He had multiple appointments that I can prove with medical records. My son has detachment problems. His mother was deployed and I worked a regular 12-15 hour day in the Military. I NEVER refused to admit that my son had a problem. In fact I was embarrassed and very apologetic to them and felt horrible about the children my son would bite. I tried everything to keep him from doing it. Talking to him, rewarding for good days, taking him to see the doctor, etc. This was an outrageous lie. I have a signed sworn statement from an employee affirming to this. In response to the second paragraph. I have this paper I signed. When i picked my son up that day I had an office employee change the dates, initialed and signed. I have the letter that was signed by both their employee and my self. I wish I could post the proof here because I would upload all the documents I have. In response to the third Paragraph. I know other parents were upset. I am truly sorry anything happened to their children because of my son's behavior. Tamera told me on the phone, "We lost parents because of this. We have to recuperate that money somehow." I unfortunately do not have proof of this conversation. What I do have is the text messages the owner sent to me and would be happy to post/send them. They did not try to recuperate $2000 because the law would never allow that. What they did was went back and charged me overage hours after I had a Memorandum for Record from My commanding officer stating when my military hours were. I was told by the staff that this was what they needed to alleviate the overage charges. I also have that in my possession. It is not written in their policy but I know other military parents use this. Therefore, they went back to get as much as they could "Legally" attempt to charge me. In response to the last paragraph. This is the most egregious. I WOULD NEVER leave my son in child care for longer than absolute necessary. I had to be at work by 05-0630am and was not able to leave on most days until 5-7pm. I held the roles of: Platoon Sergeant, Chief of Operations, Chief of Personnel, Chief of Personnel Training, Sexual Harassment and Assault Response Officer, Safety Chief, and Chief Fitness instructor. Of these seven roles I would be doing work for five of them at any given time. I never took lunch nor stopped working all day. My goal was to complete my work to standard and get to my son as soon as possible. I did come to pick Xander up in civilian clothes instead of my uniform a few times. As the Fitness instructor I was responsible three days a week for helping those there were struggling with their physical fitness. I would be in gym style clothes. I wouldn't go home, shower or anything. I would go right to the daycare following the conclusion of the hour long training session at 6pm. I did not harrass them. I could not get a response from phone calls and messages and finally decided to email. I have that email in its entirety and would be glad it to you. I never contacted them via text as I find that to be unprofessional. I have the text messages that THE OWNER contacted me with. I simply responded with an appreciation that if they did not request further contact from me then I would like the same. I did tell them I would be contacting a lawyer in Dec 2012 as I had been unable to speak to them and ask for a resolution. I have yet been able to get this contract they claim I signed with all this information and standards written in it. I have the one I signed and it says nothing of what they are claiming. Finally, I am not the only one that has had problems with this daycare. See below for the links to other people that have had problems with the owner and her daughter/manager Tamera. She responds to all online complaints in the same way. We are terrible parents and the safety of the children was at risk when it simply is not always the case. She uses that as an escape to do the right thing. I have contacted 20 other parents with these same issues and we are working on a Class action suit. They must be aware of this. That is why it took until now to respond to my review. In the end my son went to a new daycare. He never had a problem with biting again and the new provider praises him for his helpfulness and active imagination. I worked there and got fired over one day that I couldn't show up because of an emergency, but the worse part is I called demanding for my payment to be given and they refuse and hung up on me rudely twice. I do not recommend this facility, the boss is lazy and always sits on a bench playing with her phone while myself and a few other workers actually did their job. The owner was dishonest and biased instead of truthful and indifferent. Children would often come home dirty and with bruises or cuts without explanation and staff would often deny any involvement. My children disliked going to this daycare, which pretends to be a school by calling the babysitters, teachers. The only teaching I saw going on at this establishment was arts and crafts. CHILDSTIME IS NEGLECTIVEFUL AND ARE PAYMENT CONS! (ZERO STARS!) Childstime started out great when my wife and I enrolled our 2 year daughter. Staff was friendly and our daughter was happy. Until a series of events started to unravel shortly after. One day I picked up my daughter from Childtime and she had blood on the back of her head that had dripped down onto her shirt. I asked the staff what had happened and none of them had a clue what had happened. My daughter said she "fell in the play area and cried." Who wouldn't notice that! Next, Childstime hired a person with a limited mental capacity to watch the group my daughter was in.(I noticed this staff member when she was raising her voice in aggressive manner towards couple kids)Also Childstime gets hot in their daycare and my daughter would be dehydrated. Childstime had a contract that payments were due on the 5th,okay. I noticed I was starting to be charged $5 processing fees and $35 late fees on the processing fees. They told me if I pay by check or cash I will be charged $5 unless I pay online. I paid online and was still charged the $5 fee. I decided to pay my balance and pull my daughter. Four months later I get collection letter for $160 in late fees on my final payment processing fee!!! DO NOT PUT YOUR KIDS HERE! ITS WORTH A COUPLE EXTRA DOLLARS A DAY TO HAVE YOUR KIDS WATCHED BY REAL PROFFESSIONALS! read more

As an nurse in the US Army, I have done a lot of moving throughout the years, including changing daycares for my seven year old daughter. This daycare and especially Tamera Chavez was by far the worst daycare/director and demonstrated the worst unprofessionalism that I have ever seen. Everything from my ex-boyfriends autistic daughter being locked in the bathroom with another older child and not being told about it, to the unclean facility make this a place that I would not recommended. To make matter worse 9 months after the break-up with my ex I was told by my loan officer (buying a new house), that there was collection out in my name for my ex-boyfriend s unpaid daycare bill. When I attempted to contact Tamera it took ~2.5weeks to finally talk to her on the phone related to her avoiding phone calls, messages left with the front desk, and e-mails. All this just to be told that since I was an emergency contact that I am responsible for his bill. How is this fair? My boyfriend and I purposely signed two seperate daycare applications for our owns kids, just incase of a break-up, deployment, etc. Before leaving Washington in December 2011, I ensured that my daughter s bill was paid. However, somehow they think that I should be responsible for an ex-boyfriend s bill that my name was not even on, expect an emergency contact. When I talked to Tamera on the phone she was extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, and told me out right that she will get her money out of me because her mom owns the place and wants her money. She would not give me the name of phone number of her mom who apparently is the owner and told me that her mom is a rude person and would want my money, so I just need to pay. I have reported her to the better business bureau, and am retaining an attorney to get this unfounded collections from my name/good credit. read more
