My daughter is basically family with the owners and staff. We have become friends as well. They are all wonderful people and I know my daughter is safe with them. There are other places in the area but I do not know of anywhere better. This is a Christian school/daycare but they do not force anything on the child. They do vacation bible camp, science camps, field trips, movies, and much more. My little one will soon be moving on to big girl school but we are going to try and stay until they kick her out. Which I don't think they ever will because they love her so much. It's heartbreaking that we are soon to be leaving them. We wish they taught classes all the way through grade school. My 2 year old is in Mrs. Woods' class. She is affectionately known as "The Potty Training Queen." He has grown leaps and bounds in her room. He is potty training, learning colors, letters, and shapes. He has never not wanted to go to school. She lights up when my son enters the room which makes my heart smile. My 4 year old knows The Lord's Prayer in its entirety because he learned it at school. The 3 year old teacher, Ms. Gardner, started teaching him to write. As an educator, I was skeptical at first because he was so young; but, I followed her lead. By the conclusion of the 3 year old program, he was writing his name and all letters in the alphabet. Then, my son moved into the 4 year old class with Mrs. Robinson. Mrs. Robinson furthered the skills that Ms. Gardener started. By the conclusion of the 4 year old class, my son was reading beginner books, Margaret Hillert. They are truly a team. Both classes have circle time every morning where they review shapes, colors, letters, scriptures, and more. They have center time where the students explore areas of interest and have the opportunity to play while learning with their classmates. Then, students eat, nap, enjoy outdoor time and have an afternoon snack. I enjoy that my children are learning while they are not in my presence. I take pride in knowing that they are receiving a Bright Start before entering school, where standards are becoming increasingly higher. I wish I could give the staff at Bright Start more for all they give to me and my children!

When asking him about his day he couldn't say enough about how nice both of his teachers were, and how many new friends he made. That put us right at ease. Knowing how reserved he is and to be excited about his new environment is a testimony! My daughter absolutely loves the field trips! She is always excited coming home and sharing what she has learned during the day. The facility is always bright, clean, and safe. The staff is always positive! I have had children at Valwood for the past 10 years, three boys one in 8th, one in 6th, and one in 2nd. I could not be happier with the way they are treated or the way they are taught. I feel that they are safe and well taken care of by all of the faculty and staff. My boys play three sports, are involved in many activities, and are well rounded thanks to their development at Valwood. I can not recommend this school higher!!! I love Valwood!!

I witnessed guides leaving families out of conversations and not giving chances to ask and answer questions. My kid also was approached by some other kid from God knows where on the tour bus and he tried to fist fight her. Nothing was done. And the faculty just kind of drops you off at the end and leave you to fend for yourself. The cafeteria food was terrible, the green beans bbq chicken in particular but the dining room staff were all kind and amazing. As soon as we got to the parking lot we scratched Valdosta state off the list and this was her top college.
