Dr. Carey is kind, patient, and I can tell that he really cares about his patients. He took his time and made sure I was comfortable during my fillings. The office staff, hygienists, and dental assistants are also kind and patient. I'm glad I can continue to feel good about being a patient here now that I am under Dr. Carey's care.

The whole office runs like a business focused on profits over people. If you want an honest dentist who actually cares about your health, stay far away from Dr. Patel. Unfortunately I was raised in era prior to fluoride in toothpaste and water. I first went to him shortly after moving to the area after a tooth broke off. He had to pull what was left and eventually he placed an implant there. It was all done quite painlessly. Recently I've had a similar incident and have begun the process again. Again, it really is without pain. He has replaced some bad fillings, provided some crowns and caps etc. He is extremely attentive to fine details and always doing what is best for his patients. In addition, his entire staff, front desk, hygienist, assistants, are all fantastic. If you need a fantastic dentist, Dr. Ee should be your first choice.

On multiple occasions, I was given inaccurate information about coverage, leading to wasted time and unnecessary stress. The most unacceptable incident was when a procedure was cancelled after I had already been numbed and after my copay of several hundred dollars had been collected--only then was I told it would not be covered. That level of incompetence and disregard for patients is unacceptable. Dental care is about trust, and By the Sea Dentistry has broken mine. Until they overhaul their front office operations and insurance practices, I cannot recommend this practice to anyone.

Upon arrival I was seen promptly, and the procedure was completed during the same visit without needing a follow-up appointment. It was very quick and, most importantly, completely painless.
