I am writing this to share my first experience with this practice. After being referred to this amazing provider (Andrew Spence) by three coworkers, I made a new client appointment that was three months out. While waiting for the appointment, I received three reminder texts stating the following, "Your appointment with Andrew Spence, PA at providence Forge is on XX/XX at 10:40 AM EDT. Check in before your appointment here (was a link to check in). Nowhere in this text did it say to show up early for registration, in fact it had a convenient online registration to take place of in the office. I called en route to inform them because of work and the 45-minute drive, that I was showing to be a few minutes late. They informed me that there was a 10-minute window. My appointment was at 10:40 and I arrived at 10:42. There was a man in front of me at the window extending my time to 10:44. At the window I was told that Andrew Spence was not going to honor the 10-minute window and that I needed to reschedule. They also said I should have known that I needed to be 20 minutes early to check in as stated in the text. NO WHERE in the text or initial phone call did it say that and in fact had a online check in instead and clearly stated arrive at 10:40. It appears that their reminder texts and people in the office are giving information that is inaccurate and then changing it later. I am sure this is a great staff, and I could recommend this location, however, I would not recommend this provider from the way that I was treated. I hope that this first experience helps people in the future double-check the information that they are given by this practice, as everything given to me was obviously false. read more

I had my second appointment with Dr. Thomas. Neither of which was very satisfying nor informative. This second appointment I saw what I believe is the real Dr. Thomas: a condescending, rude, judgmental narcissist. He wanted to hear NOTHING I had to say. I was disappointed with this whole visit. I arrived for my appointment 2 minutes late (10:02 for a 10:00). After waiting 20 minutes a blonde drug rep came in and was told, "He's not busy, go on back." A few minutes later I was called to the back for my appointment. There was an uneasiness in the air from the person taking me back and collecting my vitals. Without understanding why, she engaged me in a conversation about the medication I was there to get (Vyvanse). She said, "It is a controlled drug." I said, "Aren't all prescription drugs controlled drugs?" She said, "Before we go down that road, I am a pharm tech." I have been on this medication for about 8 years at this same dosage. I have never given away a single pill, never sold a single pill, and never requested a refill early. I have a Bachelor's Degree, 2 Master's Degrees, and a Ph.D. (abd). I have never felt so humiliated and disrespected in my life. When Dr. Thomas entered it was apparent he had already made up his mind that I didn't need the medication and even said those very words. He just became more condescending and rude. I got up and left. Go to see Dr. Thomas if you enjoy being treated like dirt beneath his feet. Never again for me. read more

Saw Dr. Moore after just moving here. After meeting this Dr. and explaining my areas of concern he wanted nothing to do with me. Told me to go back where I came from if I needed medicine. Did not listen to me and really made me feel like I was a bother to him. Never have I disliked a doctor so quickly. Would not recommend this Dr. to anyone. Not all of us are out for medicine sir! Some of us have real issues and not trying to take medicine we don't need. Maybe you should try listening to your patients and look at the medical records your new patients bring with them. Don't waste your time with this facility as it is awful. Guess that's why the waiting room was empty!! Wound up in the emergency room because I ran out of medicine. Even the nurse in the ER told me this family practice was terrible. read more

I saw Dr Moore at Chickahominy Family Practice yesterday. He couldn't have been nicer, took the time to talk to me, did X-ray, and came up with a plan. The CMA and other support staff and receptionist couldn't have been nicer or more professional and supportive, read more

this is the worst practice ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!very unprofessional!!!!! waited over an hour to be called back then told that it still would be a while. I ask did the front desk know this when I came in and of course they did. got my co-pay back. HATE this place. haven't been in years and I remember why. they SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I am finally giving up on this practice. They tell you to submit question via the patient portal but no one ever answers the question. Their opening message is so long and the VERY LAST thing they tell you is which number to push to make an appointment. That should be one of the first things! you have to listen to a long ramble about requesting medical records, if you are a provider how to contact them, how to manage some weird lab result thing... it goes on and on until they finally say push one for an appointment! Then you sit on hold for 10 minutes, finally someone picks up and says please hold. AGAIN! I hung up. the front desk is always rude. They are more interested in chit chatting among themselves than helping their clients. The physicians don't trouble shoot at all. I am so frustrated. My first visit was fine but after that, forget it. I've given them over a year to get it right. I'm done. read more

Had a terrific medical appoint experience Friday. Receptionists were efficient, friendly and helpful. The appointment was on time and was a good use of time in processing patients. Doctor Anup Goki has such a helping manner and is highly capable! Highly recommend this facility as well as the staff and Dr Gokli. read more

a few years ago I came in for an appointment. I told them I felt weak, lethargic, and completely out of energy. they told me I was just depressed and put me on all kinds of depression medication. when one didn't work they moved on to the next one. then they tried to suggest that it wasn't real. they referred me to a shrink the shrink told me she thought I wasn't getting enough sun and that some vitamin d pills may help. well none of the pills helped. less than a year ago I went to my gynecologist because I was pregnant and he took one look at me and ordered a blood test because he said I looked pale. I found out that I am anemic. what kind of doctors office can't diagnose a simple case of anemia. read more
