Waking down the medieval streets of Grasse, just stumbled in here for one reason: hunger. I was so hungry as a matter of fact, that I didn't even care to venture into the Yelp app to see what's good in the area. FUN EMPLOYEES. The guy that I will assume to be the owner judging by his overwhelming confidence with customers and orders was awesome. Speaks English, cracked a few jokes and just seemed like a genuinely happy person. THE CREPES WERE PHENOMENAL. They are cheap, they come with plastic silverware and are filled of goodness. I'd highly recommend crepes bolognese, my mouth is watering right now just thinking about it. Now, I will admit, coming from Atlanta, we lack good crepes, so maybe my perception is lightly skewed. I am rating this purely on the enjoyment of the meal and I loved it.

Absolutely the best foie gras and the most tender, delicious liver I've ever had and I've traveled the world. My husband really enjoyed the steak with mushroom sauce. The chef prepared my meal with no dairy, just substituting olive oil for the butter. This was done graciously with no issue, which is rare in France. The staff were all delightful and spoke enough English to make ordering easy and seamless. If there were 6 stars I'd give them another for making our dining experience amazing. The two star Michelin restaurant we went to I'd give a solid 3 Yelp stars. Au Rendez-Vous de Mougins is my favorite restaurant in Provence. Hidden gem.

A tourist Place If…read moreyou are looking for a small unpretentious place in the heart of a pretty village, you have come to the right place! If you are looking for fine cuisine, good service and authenticity, this is not the place for you. I had dinner there last week and have mixed feelings about the place. The food was pretty ordinary though I had a chicken "burger" that sounded interesting on paper but did not translate into a pleasant experience. My companion had the Italian Pasta which was also pretty ordinary. Prices are moderate. As mentioned before, the restaurant is very small, just a few tables, some across the narrow street from the restaurant. It is located in the heart of the beautiful village of Fayence. The owners seem to be the sole operators: she serves and he cooks. He also talks... A lot. Both are working hard to give the place the appearance of an authentic rustic-but-genuine small restaurant; it seems too much like an act to me. It seems like they are trying very hard to cater to the tourist crowd, the type that will go back home and talk to their friends about the little restaurant they discovered that is so French...
