My lunch started out with my tumbling around with my French, but without my asking, Joseph, my server, asked if I wanted water for Sophie my little dog. Wow. Thoughtful. I stumbled around again with my French, but he didn't seem frustrated.
I ordered three things. The escargot bretagne, the melon et jambon et less hûitres - which are local of the Vandee River. They were HUGE but not chewy. Ive been told and I have read that in France it is rude not to finish one's plate. I hate being rude and he assured me that I would not be rude should I not finish.
As I warmed up, my french flowed a little better. Over all my experience eating alone here was very pleasant because my server was enjoyable. The food is to be expected because I ordered rather generic things.
