La Java is an original joint, the real deal where the owner runs his shop with a good dose of humor and booze. Sit down, relax and don't take anything too seriously. The drinks are cheap, the company friendly and the atmosphere is like nothing you'll ever see anywhere else. Enjoy the happy bric-a-brac and wisecracking that pervades this gem of a cafe. Everything came out very quickly and the whole staff was quite friendly. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals! My tart was excellent, with just a little sweetness from golden raisins and red peppers. My wife's salad was beautiful and delicious as well. She especially enjoyed the toast and goat cheese that was on top of the salad. An excellent meal with a wonderful view. Highly recommend!
