While most local companies who share in that small town community feeling are willing to work with people, Black Hills Energy only tries to create that for marketing. They don't care about the fallen heroes, you or your friends and family. They're simply marketing tools because it something this community values (and rightly so). This company has a monopoly on these towns and does whatever it wants to the people there without a second glance. Their customer service is terrible. The call center claims to only have two options to assist anyone and they never have a manager on site. I've had a great deal of experience working in call centers to know this is complete nonsense. The two people who take the calls are completely ineffective at doing their job. What makes matters worse is their stories on account information can differ from call to call. Showing that there is no standardized training. It makes life a living hell. This is not a company that holds true to ideals of people first. As their customer, we have no power.
