It's not a cleaned the floor kind of wet, it's drippings and puddles of who knows what. Disgusting. In the main area, it's ok. Staff was friendly robotic. Set verses and sayings, no social chat. Products are the same here as every other QT, with all of the prepackaged items, fountain drinks, coffee bar, hot roller bar, and the made to order kitchen. I grew up with QT in a time when they took a bit more pride in the quality of the appearance. Seems that's been downgraded.

So I travel a lot between Texas, Springfield MO and Festus MO. Quick Trip is always a welcome sight…read morebecause no matter where you stop, you can generally expect a clean store, friendly associated and good service. This store on Clifford doesn't quite meet those standards. I contacted their corporate office about some issues I had with the store. They are frequently out of fountain sodas or the machines were broke. They did respond and seems like they've made improvements. My last communication though went unanswered. I emailed to let them know that they had vagrants loitering inside late at night and it was making customers feel unsafe. I've never seen this at any other QT. Maybe they need a new manager but this store doesn't seem to maintain the same standards as other stores. There's a 7-11 right down the street. Maybe they want my business.

What makes a good gas station... the drinks, the snacks, the junk you can buy inside??? No!! What makes a good gas station is gas at reasonable prices! Even if they have a great selection of beer, wine, food, Candy, and spangled hats... you don't stop in the first place if the price isn't right! Even if you do you don't come back unless you just like paying high prices for gas... and if that's you well stay away from 7-Eleven then... it's not for you! 7-Eleven is for the hard working type that is looking for a good price on gas and also has the spangled hats, 20 flavors of energy drinks, multi types of snacks, and tons of other stuff. Thank heaven for 7-Eleven... at least that is how the saying used to go.

So I should have needed approx 16-17 gal (based on my prev receipts) ... when I went inside to get my receipt (again - b/c they never have paper outside) it showed that I put 21.53 gal in. I went back inside to let them know that there is an issue - I was told that they don't have a customer service number but they had the "district manager" call me to tell me that they just re-calibrated these pumps recently & there was nothing that he would do because they are correct - essentially calling me a liar. So I got screwed out of approx $14

The staff has always been friendly and helpful whenever I've stopped in. As for gas prices, I can't really blame the station for those--they are what they are. My biggest frustration is that I can never seem to get a receipt at the pump when I need one. One other thing to keep in mind: if you're in a hurry, this may not be the best stop. It's almost always busy, which is probably a testament to how clean and well-run it is. The popularity can mean longer waits, but overall it's a reliable place to fuel up and grab what you need. Clean, friendly, and well-stocked--just be prepared for a crowd.
