It's a tight parking lot with not a lot of spaces, so maneuvering can be difficult at times. The gas prices are usually higher than other stations in the area. The Circle K is usually adequately stocked and relatively clean. The drink areas can be dirty/sticky at times, but the employees do clean it up frequently. There are usually people hanging out front of the store asking for change, but they aren't usually bothersome outside of their initial inquiry. I mainly stop in here for the Polar Pop deal, a 32 oz fountain drink for 84 cents (tax included) or their $1.04 44oz fountain drink, can't beat that! The employees aren't great but they aren't rude either, so no complaints about service.

My oh my, was I surprised! This CK has quite a selection of wines and bubbles by gas station standards...like an entire wall is dedicated to wine! Even though not all the brands are the best quality, this is not a bad "lazy day, last minute, I just need to have some wine in my life" kind of pit stop. Glad my exploring paid off :) P.S. 3 stars because the shop owners/employees behind the counter could smile more and be a lot friendlier. It's no secret that ultimately it's the customers' continued business that will keep them open. Ijs...

All of the GT trucks use the QT. That said, this is a good station. This one has more automotive supplies - such as gas cans, and bigger selection of oils, etc.

Yelp isn't as popular as it used to be. You can find this BP in between Atlantic Station and Georgia Tech, on the west side of the Downtown Connector (I-75/85). I was able to find premium gas here two evenings ago on Monday, May 17, 2021. That was exactly 10 days after the Colonial Pipeline cyberattack on May 7th that created a gas shortage on the East Coast: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colonial_Pipeline_cyberattack. Rounding up, I paid $4.20 per gallon here. That's the most I've paid for premium since May and June 2014 when I paid $4.00 per gallon at the QuikTrip stores on Clairmont and North Druid Hills Roads. Given the recent shortage, I was okay with it. Since I started tracking my gas spending, the highest per-gallon price I've paid was $4.90 on September 22, 2008. Gas prices were expensive in 2008. Coincidentally, I pumped that gas at this very location. Back then, this was the 14th Street Citgo: https://www.yelp.com/biz/14th-st-citgo-atlanta. At the time, this was the only gas station on the stretch of 14th between the interstate and Northside (41). Now, there's the relatively new Exxon. This gas station changed from Citgo to BP sometime between May 2015 and April 2016 according to Google Street View. Before landing on this BP, I passed the nearby Exxon and Shell stations on 14th and the BP and QT at 10th and Northside. Those four stations were completely out of gas. I then went to the nearby Shell on Spring. They had regular only. Luckily, this BP had all three grades. It was the last station I passed on my way home from my mini search around the neighborhood. My friends and mother-in-law have filled up at this BP before, but this week was my first time. In Atlanta, I prefer QT or Costco (if it's convenient depending on where I am) because they have lower prices. This is a small BP with only six pumps. It's next door to Wagaya and Chirori, which are great Japanese restaurants, and Trio Custom Clothiers, where I've gotten my custom suits and tux. Good businesses. This BP is on GetUpside so you can get free money back if you check in using the GetUpside app. During the gas shortage, I was surprised to see that GetUpside was offering $0.03 back per gallon at this BP. Better than nothing. The GetUpside money back amounts are usually significantly larger than that. If you've never used GetUpside before, use my invite code DANIEL66482 to get an extra $0.15 back per gallon the first time you use the app. There are no tricks or gimmicks, at least for the consumer. The app simply gives you free money back off your gas purchases. It's a no-brainer. Yesterday afternoon, the AJC reported "Half of Atlanta gas stations still dry." https://www.ajc.com/news/half-of-atlanta-gas-stations-still-dry/YUPTYU4I6ZBC5M4G4SPU5HDQQ4/

While 14th Street is the main thoroughfare in this neighborhood, this business has a Center Street address. The attached convenience store is known as Center Street Food Mart. The gas station is compact with only six pumps. They've got the fairly new ExxonMobil Synergy branding on them. ExxonMobil launched its Synergy suite of fuels in 2016 to compete with brands like Shell V-Power. These premium gasoline brands are supposed to provide benefits like better gas mileage, lower emissions, improved engine protection, and better performance. That's how they're advertised and marketed, at least. I've never experienced this myself or if I have, I haven't noticed. My Volkswagen, which is 20+ years old and has over 260,000 miles on it, has consumed mostly QuikTrip premium unleaded over its lifetime. I still use the car as my daily driver and the original engine still runs great. QuikTrip uses Top Tier gasoline and so does ExxonMobil. I think ExxonMobile uses more additives and other things. I don't think this gas station has the cheapest gas in the vicinity, but the prices aren't unreasonable. The pumps are clean and the entire property feels tidy and safe. It's just small (which isn't a bad thing) and that includes the corner store. I used pump #6 and it was in very good condition. A video played while I pumped and my receipt printed out clearly. There were plenty of good-quality paper towels (better than QT quality) in the dispenser attached to the trash can. The trash can had a fresh, unused bag in it. This station serves the common three grades of unleaded + diesel.

If I could rate this place negative stars, I would. This Shell station, perched like a…read moremoney-grabbing vulture right off the freeway, has gas prices so ridiculously high you'd think the fuel was hand-delivered by royalty. But fine--I needed gas, and I didn't feel like hunting for a better price. What I didn't need was the hostile attitude from the woman behind the bulletproof glass--yes, actual bulletproof glass, which should have been my first red flag. I simply asked where the Red Bull was (not that complicated), and you'd think I asked her to scale a mountain. Instead of doing the bare minimum--like, I don't know, pointing--she just stared at me like I was the problem. Still trying to be polite, I grabbed my drink and some chips, thinking maybe it was just a bad moment. But when I asked for directions to Marietta, the floodgates opened. She snapped that she "wasn't a tour guide" and didn't get paid to help people who aren't her "regulars." The contempt in her voice was stunning. I've been to gas stations all over this country, and never--not even once--have I been spoken to like an inconvenience just for asking a simple question. It's no wonder this place is dragging along with a sad little 2.5 rating. Honestly, that's generous. If the owner reads this and cares even remotely about customer service--or basic human decency--they should seriously reevaluate who they allow to represent their business. Because this? This was embarrassing.

Horrible customer service and prices are through the roof!!! NEVER, NEVER come to this place!!read more
