Great hotel, great staff! I thought I was in the Marriott…read morehotel, this place really impressed me. We had just left a hotel that had a mouse in the room so I didn't care how much this place was I just needed to find a place for my bf and I for the night. I walked in the lobby and immediately was impressed with how clean and sparkling it was. The staff was so nice too! Our room was gorgeous (king bed) the bathroom was super clean and the shower had beautiful glass door and shampoo conditioner and body wash dispensers on the wall. Bed was super comfy but I did smash my shin on the bed frame as it stuck out further than the mattress. The floors had tile NOT grungy carpeting. my only complaint is the tv had a volume lock which made watching tv in bed hard to hear. Overall I'd 100% visit again!

My stay wasn't the best, as I stay in a different hotel every weekend and I know what good customer…read moreservice is. I arrived on Friday, February 20, 2026, and on Saturday morning, before leaving at 7:00 am, I called the front desk to request housekeeper services, but no one answered. I went to the front desk, but there was no one there, so I left without being helped. Hours later, I sent a message that wasn't read or answered, and when I arrived back at the hotel around 2:00 pm, I mentioned it, and they offered me the service, but it was too late to sit and wait in the lobby. Later, I went back to borrow a phone charger and some coffee for my room. They lent me the charger, but they never sent the coffee. On Saturday around 8 pm, I left my room to return the charger and saw the front desk employee go into room 102. I went down to the front desk thinking someone was there, but there was a note saying they would be back soon. I waited about 20 minutes, and there was no one at the front desk. I went back to my room and went down later to return the charger. I thanked them for lending it to me and for the coffee they never sent. Ironically, He said, "You're very welcome." I am traveling with a group of healthcare professionals who work for DOCS International, and I feel I must make this comment so it can be taken into account.

Monday night stay in April 2026…read more I've been to other motels in area for about same rate and at this rate it out performed the others with obviously 2 to 3.5 stars. The entrance is really easy to miss as the traffic is moving so fast and the Hyatt sign is so small, low, and not lit very well. The entry looks like a service entry to some back area.. and it is way in the back so you will not see the building until you are well down their road after you turn in. Parking not so bad although I can see on a busy weekend it could be a challenge to find a spot near the front. Elevator is past right desk to right, whereas dining is to left. There is a gym open 24 hours (didn't go to it) The indoor pool I believe is open until 10PM (didn't go to it) 5 Minutes straight down the road to the Mohegan Sun (nearest to Winter Parking) Room with king was clean and in good condition. Everything worked. Bathroom door was wide and ADA compliant. In our King room we had a couch, work table, king bed, mini fridge, one LCD large flat screen TV, and all the other typical stuff in a room. The breakfast in morning included hot service: Canadian bacon (slightly salty but great) Has brown cubes Scrambled egges French toast (without the vanilla extract) Also - hard boiled eggs, totilla wraps, berries in sauce, yogurt, various breads, bannanas, OJ/Apple Juice/and Cranberry? The food attendant was right on stocking the food. Bus your own trays and silverware to bins to left of room. Food seating - the lobby area, the main area near food, and a sunny veranda. Hours for breakfast (included complimentary with lodging) 7AM - 10AM Check out is at 11AM Check in is at 4PM but you can request earlier time Lobby had a slight funky odor, but not incredibly bad although it could use some air freshener There is a snack and beverage display to right to bac near front counter. Price is a bit high e.g. med chips ~ $5.50. There is a CVS right down the street, pick up your snacks a beverage there instead. There are no steps into building so it is all ADA compliant. No smoking unit - great! I do not believe it accepts pets either. Not sure. Some movie channels could not connect because of signal issues. The menu on the TV is a big pain as you cannot scroll the menu, just let it run through. If you hit the channel up or down button it only effects the channels not the menu. There is no menu button. HVAC works fine. Typical noise but at least you don't hear clanking blades or noise like a airplane when it's running. Sink is out side bathroom which has shower (rain style not forceful spray), and toilet. Towels are placed in shower stall, high up and opposite shower head. Two night stands (one has a useless clock with no instructions), so use your cell phone for an alarm. The other night stand has a USB connector box. Both sides of bed had sconces. I would stay again if it was same great price (under $100 plus tax; weekend is probably higher). Well worth it at this rate! Not perfect, but the other stuff and small inconveniences was worth living with for what you get at this price point so close to the casino. Enjoy your vacation or trip!

There is a nice, cool, pool that the kids absolutely loved playing in. The campground is also pet friendly as long as you are in an RV or at a campsite. They don't allow pets in the cabin. That wasn't an issue for us this time, but it's something to consider if you are planning on traveling with pets. The cabins themselves are fine. Nothing extraordinary and nothing to nitpick about the structure. We only had a few issues. The first was with the AC. It was set to the lowest temperature, and it still couldn't keep the room cool. Granted, we came during a heat wave, so it's probably not so bad when it's just in the 80s or lower and the humidity isn't so high. The other issue was the mattresses on the bed. They were like prison mats. So uncomfortable, and even a two inch mattress topper didn't help. If you're a young person, then it probably isn't such a major problem, but if you are over 40 or have back pain, then you definitely want to avoid these cabins or plan to bring something that may help to make it more comfortable. The last issue is the cost. We stayed for two nights, and it cost over $300. My wife booked the cabin without my knowledge, so we were stuck with it, but for that price we could have stayed in a really nice hotel with amenities and towels and all of the things that are typically provided. In these cabins, there is toilet paper, a bath mat, and a couple of trash bags. You have to bring all of your own linens and towels. You also need to bring all of your own toiletries. And if you want coffee in the morning, either plan to bring a small machine and your own coffee, or you can take a 10-15 minute trip into one of the nearby towns. So, for the price and all things considered, I would not recommend booking a cabin here. The RV and campsites seem fine, and our in-laws paid a little less than half of what we paid for their RV site, so I would recommend it for that purpose.

The space is stocked with everything you might need from a lantern and flashlights to tea and granola bars. They even had two chocolate bars for s'mores! How thoughtful is that!! There is a short walk from where you park to the location of the tree house (and the other units as well). Bert was AMAZING to help us with our cooler and luggage. Next time (and there will be many!) we'll pack lighter as we brought a lot of what they already had. Really just a change of clothes and some toothpaste is all you need here! The outdoor shower, located under the main house, is lovely and well lit. We showered in the evening before bed and felt very safe and comfortable. This is also where the sink is to wash dishes, etc. There's a gas grill as well as a Coleman stove in addition to a fire pit! The tiki torches around the fire pit area are a nice touch. The composting toilet is in a separate room inside the tree house with a door for privacy. The directions are clearly marked and once you get used to it, it's a breeze to use. The space itself was nicely appointed and decorated tastefully and sparingly. One of the days we were there it rained, and we spent the day relaxing, chatting, napping, snacking all dry and cozy in this little slice of contemplative heaven. Highly recommend if you just need to get off the grid for a few days, although there is electricity and fair cell service so you can still Wordle if you must. We're headed back next month, and the month after that,, and the month after that to try out the tiny house and the Octagon house by the brook. A full five stars for Bert & Nancy's Water Forest Retreat!!
