This is one of our favorite library locations. There is a decent collection here of nonfiction, fiction, DVDs, CDs, YA books and graphic novels, and children's books. The staff and volunteers are delightful, and there are many programs available. My child loves the makerspace and the open hours there. The instructors are so welcoming, and there are different groups that meet up in the space, like a robotics club. There are many study and meeting rooms that you can book for individuals and groups. You can book online or see what is available when you come in. We've met friends here for gaming dates, and the spaces are well equipped and comfortable. Several sitting/reading nooks are available around the space as well. It's a great place to meet friends. read more

Big, big library. This is the "central" library for Chesterfield and it shows. It is a huge, modern facility. Clean and airy and bright. Lots of different styles of seating throughout and I was able to find a spot where I could sit comfortably for about two hours. The library is quiet and peaceful. There's a quiet murmur as some study parties are underway. The librarians are moving about as well. Wifi was easy to connect to and speedy. I love the facilities at this library. They have plenty of books at this location to check out and of course you can transfer them between libraries, but what really sets this library apart is the access to equipment and skills you don't always have access to. We have learned so many new skills here, thanks to their makers space and accessibility of the cooperative extension. We have made kokedamas here, resin coasters, macrame, and so much more. We learned today that they even have a kitchen classroom space! I will definitely be back. read more
