Chessel's Land is yet another of the buildings that the University of Edinburgh owns that was built in that time of architectural decline, the 1970s. This building is located near Holyrood and is part of the Moray House School of Education campus. However, this building isn't as bad, however it does stand out!
Its exterior is a red sandy colour and is used by various parts of the student community. It is used by the teaching school, drama students, musicians and the odd politic student. Yes, that was me, who along with ten other politics students had to have a tutorial in a drama class!
The sad thing about this building is that it has not been updated, the classrooms are stuck in the seventies and it reminds me of my old school which had seen decades of students walk and by and treat it without respect!
Not as bad as Appleton Tower, but not further ahead either! read more
