Some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. After getting a bill in December for over 8X the usual usage/month, I began calling to figure out what was going on. Keep in mind, I've owned this vacation house for 9 years and have never had a usage month over 25 units or $35, so getting a bill for 170 units and several hundred dollars raises serious red flags such as a leak. After 4 months and 11 phone calls (where I was sometimes placed on hold for over 2 hours without anyone returning to the line), I was told yesterday that they never checked the line to the house nor the meter, that they "read the meter correctly" and that I am responsible for paying what is owed and to "get a gas plumber" to resolve the issue. This company has the worst customer service. I moved and asked them to discontinue service. They owe me more than $40 for service paid after I moved. They created a ticket, promised to get back to me after 3 business days - didn't happen. I called repeatedly - issue was supposedly escalated. Still no response. Why are we stuck with such a loser company? The CEO and president need to be replaced and customers need to start a class action suit. They deserve negative stars. read more

The customer service is absolutely dreadful. After setting up service at our new home, 4 months went by with no bill received. After 2 months, I called every few weeks, but got no answers. They created 'tickets' and each time promised I'd get a call back within 3 business days. The last ticket was assigned to a supervisor per my request but I still received no return communication. I found out they had finally generated a bill after my last call on Feb 16 (service was set up Oct 3!) - they just hadn't actually sent the bill to me yet ?!? I am absolutely puzzled at how this company is doing business with customers. read more

Terrible customer care. I have consistently been told that there is no status on the ticket they opened on Dec. 4th...it is now December 30th. When I call, I am put on hold but they never come back. I haven't gotten a bill for 3 months since I started service. I have signed up for auto pay but my account shows no bill available and no usage of gas. I am concerned that my service will be cut off or I will receive a multi-month bill when they finally realize I am a customer. This company is trash they set my auto pay up wrong so I missed two payments luckily I had to log into my account or I would have never seen it as I didn't get any kind of message whether mail or email saying I was late on anything and the gas was still on. We bought a new A/C system through Austin Cox. Afterward, we had a weird smell entering our home through the air vents. A guy came out to look. He did something, but it soon returned. We called several times for our free yearly service. Spoke to Sandra, Jennifer, and another lady in the office. We expected good service, but all we got was the run around, saying they had to check the schedule and have one of the guys give us a call. Never happened! We continued to call and then nobody answers the phone anymore. A few months later, I had enough and decided to go to their location on U.S. 13 in Salisbury. Wow! They were out of business. My heart sank! After many months, I found out they were bought out by another company. I've called the new company, but am now getting the same run around. They tell me that they are not obligated to comply with the Austin Cox agreement. Looks like we just lost our $12,000 investment. read more

our building was fine without leaks to our gas prior to them touching our lines. They renewed their meter to our building and when they did they caused a leak somewhere so the tech told us we needed a plumber because they couldn't find the leak that never existed before their "meter change" then when we called to see who was paying for this plumber they said we will have to even though they caused the issue. waste of people honestly.
