Since all of our homes were built around the same time, I assumed my water heater was also 17 years old and might need replacement soon. After I sent photos of my water heater and the model details, Ti took the time to look up the serial/model number on the Bradford White website and discovered that my unit was actually only 11 years old, not 17 as I had thought. He texted me back and asked for clearer photos to confirm the manufacturing date. I called him right away, and even though I currently have no issues with my water heater, he generously spent time explaining everything in detail. He told me that Bradford White is a very reliable water heater and that this model generally does not require routine tank draining for maintenance. He also gave me valuable advice for the future, recommending that when I eventually replace the unit, I should install it on a metal drain pan with moisture detection for leak protection. I was genuinely impressed by his honesty, knowledge, and willingness to help without trying to sell me something I don't need right now. He could have easily pushed for a replacement, but instead he gave me thoughtful, professional advice and saved me unnecessary expense. He was clear, he could explain everything very intelligently and quickly. He's a fast thinker and a very smart person. It's great talking to him. He's knowledgeable and he looked at some other things which we might do in the future and also explained how to alleviate the problem. I found that by taking both the nozzles off of both of the hoses where they were leaks, It solved the problem because it stopped the water from coming out of the pipe bib. I had to insist for him to continue with the auger then the toilet got unclogged. Coincidentally a small personal item went missing when he left. It happened to be a pouch that looked like there could be jewelry inside. It was in a leather purse. Fortunately there was nothing inside the pouch and nothing else in the purse itself.
