The situation was that we live in Tulsa but spent the day at the Salt Flats digging for crystals, and then to the Little Sahara State Park for a cookout and ATV riding on the dunes. We decided to spend the night in nearby Weatherford at the Comfort Inn & Suites there, Weatherford being the 'biggest' city within 30 minutes of the State Park. As it turned out, our grandkids were salty and tired and needing a shower before going to Little Sahara, and Alva is 25 minutes closer to Tulsa while Weatherford was 30 minutes further the other direction. I had made a nonrefundable reservation for 3 rooms for all of us in the Weatherford Comfort Inn, but we called anyway to see if they could transfer the reservations to the closer Alva location, being in the same chain. The staff did that even though they did not have to. The coordination to show us this courtesy was seamless and very appreciated. The grandkids got cleaned up then made their way to the Little Sahara Sand Dunes State Park for the cookout and fun...and then we all appreciated the beds, pillows, clean rooms which were very spacious, all for a decent price. Breakfast was Covid influenced muffins only, so we made our way to the 818 Diner down the street (see my review), but the staff was very helpful in both Quality Inn's. We would stay there again.

If you make one mistake she treats you like crap and makes you feel like an idiot. This hotel also does not waer gloves when they handle your food at breakfast. All there bread, muffins and biscuits come out of there package, put out and then they put them right bback in the package bare hands. So who knows how old it is and how many people have touched it. They also take the milk from breakfast and dump it back into the gallon in the back, so it's mixed milk from who knows when. The eggs and sausage are in a microwave bag and if it is not used that day they save it and keep putting old eggs back out, same with the gravy and sausage. Also she puts everyone on speaker phone, so when your giving out your personal information and credit card information everyone can hear it and take it if they wanted to. Terrible place and nasty.

It is such a well decorated and quaint place.It really gives the feel of staying in an old or "vintage" house. Staff would not call a manager and allowed dangerous behavior in the pool. The next day when I talked the manager she was apologetic and helpful. The manager has good customer service skills but the rest of the staff is hit and miss.

One can walk to the ballpark, Stride Center, and several restaurants downtown. Staff was friendly and the rate was reasonable. I only have a few suggestions for management. First, guests park in the back of the hotel and enter through a rear door. But there is no ramp or graded approach to get to that door. If you're disabled or even rolling heavy luggage it's not easy to get to. Second, be more generous on bath towels when you know the room will have two guests. Last, can you find a better location for the microwave? You pretty much have to get on the floor to use it. Those items aside, I definitely recommend this hotel!

My room was clean, no odor, no dust, no insects in the corner. I literally took a picture of the tag of their towels they used because I have never felt one so soft. If you want a fancy breakfast you won't find it. You will find hot coffee, cereal and pastries. Well worth the price.
