I am so pissed with them this time! I ordered the Shrimp Scampi which suppose to be lemony and garlicky. This meal had ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVOR WHATSOEVER . It's like they took melted margarine not even butter and poured it on the bottom with some plain noodles and shrimp at the top and littery that's it and guess what?! I paid 1.99 for extra sauce that had no flavor!!!! I was so excited to to eat this and watch a episode of pop the ballon. I had to stop my programming and slice my own lemon put it in the microwave and squeeze it in then I had to take some garlicky tasting Adobo seasoning out the cabinet and doctor this thing up. They put absolutely NO GARLIC AND NO LEMON IN IT. IT WAS THEE ABSOLUTE WORST TASTELESS FOOD. The only reason I gave two stars is because the shrimp was big and cooked right but everything else highly disappointed. Wanted a crabcake and found this restaurant on Yelp. Passed it many times before and decided to try it for the first time. The inside is small, very cute and decorated well. My son got the pasta. He said the shrimp were delicious, but the sauce was spicy. My fiance got the ribs and chicken. He said the food was really good. The ribs were tender. The mango habanero wings were spicy and sweet. The crabcakes left a lot to be desired. They were not cooked through and very soggy in the middle. They also were not seasoned. I had to put it in the air fryer and add seasoning to it once I got home. They were however made of lump crabmeat and didnt have a bunch of filling. The Mac and cheese was delicious and I really enjoyed the sweet potato tots. The tots taste just like regular tater tots, just sweeter. Pasta + Caribbean spices are among my favorite combinations . The bowls may look small but they are huge! Easily worth two servings. Ordered takeout from here online. Did not take long to process my order. Had the baked stuffed shrimp- really enjoyed the dish. Delivery specific review. Ordered here on a whim for dinner and won't make that mistake again. We ordered the Penne Duo Blast pasta and the Ribs with 2 sides, mac & cheese and mashed potatoes. The pasta sauce was BRIGHT yellow, so bright we literally sniffed the container to make sure it was our food. Now for taste. It tasted and looked like a store bought alfredo base flavored with bouillon cubes and some generic curry powder. Terrible. The shrimp was good and sausage fine, but that sauce was really bad. The ribs were also delicious. But I mean, if you have a flame grill and good bbq sauce, ribs are not difficult. The mashed potatoes tasted like garlic POWDER, overpowering and bitter aftertaste (and I use fresh garlic in literally every dish, I love the flavor of garlic and this is the first time I've eaten anything with *too much* of it). I've been here once and the food was great. I love local spots. I had the Rasta Pasta and it was full of flavor! My friend had the fried jumbo shrimp and enjoyed that as well. The food was prepared quickly and correctly and I ate it right at the store. The portions were good. I had leftovers for lunch the following day. The prices were great. No complaints here! I've ordered from here previously through Grubhub and was impressed with their food, but I stopped in and ordered personally and was blown away by how good the food was. The presentation threw me off a little, but once I tasted it, I couldn't stop! I ordered the Stuffed Shrimp with coconut rice and vegetables (broccoli and carrots). It was phenomenal. The main entree consisted of about 5-6 shrimp in curry sauce with lump crabmeat. The rice went really well with the entree and the vegetables were nicely seasoned and cooked- not mushy, but not crunchy like how most restaurants cook their vegetables. As a driver for GrubHub, I've done many deliveries for Chef BobbyD's Restaurant. I have always wanted to give it a try but never made the trip to try it. Finally the wife wanted to give a try as we are trying to knock our list of black owned restaurants down. And boy am I glad we made it happen. The menu is plentiful and we made plenty choices. I had the jerk chicken, corn and sweet potato tots, all delicious. I like spice and the level of spice was good, not too heavy either. My wife had the penne duo blast pasta. It had large shrimp and nice cuts of andouille sausage. The flavor was not lacking at all. I actually wish she hadn't been able to finish her food so I could eat that as well. This restaurant is why I read so many reviews on Yelp! When you take the time to read reviews, you are going to find a gem...and when you're not expecting it, all I can say is WOW!!! We called in our order and were told it would take approximately 25 minutes. The person who answered the phone was polite and patient with us as we weren't fully prepared to make our selections. We asked for the turkey panini however they were out of turkey so we asked could we substitute the turkey with chicken and she happily obliged. We also ordered the sweet chili chicken wings and the Blacken Tilapia with shrimp. I have to say that I greatly enjoyed all three items. Everything was incredible! So good that I may be going back to try something different the next day. Since this is 5 star for me, I have to be extremely picky about some things. My only issues were that I thought the mashed potatoes needed a little salt but that was easily overcome when mixed with the corn or the sauce that came with the fish. Also the wings were warm, not hot, when we picked up our order but the taste of them will have you ordering more. Oh, let's talk about that cajun corn. You are in for a treat! I am not big on corn but that cajun corn...delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly and I loved the sauce that accompanied it. I would speak more about the panini but my child devoured it so quickly, I barely got a bite. I guess that says all you really need to know about the sandwich. While I imagine this restaurant primarily does carryout, there are tables inside if you wish to eat at the establishment. As far as parking goes, we quickly found a spot on the street but I could see this being an issue at times. Well I had a takeout delivery order of the Jamaican Rasta pasta it came with chicken, peppers on penne pasta with this signature creamy parmesan sauce that just brings it all together, First I was a little bummed out cuz the Grubhub always take forever with the food but when it did get here, it was still extra hot like it came straight from the kitchen.. so happy about that I took the lid off and the delicious aroma of the seasonings and the chicken hits me right away. Some of the best food in Baltimore. I heard about this place from an associate at Ethos down the street and I knew it was good but I wasn't sure what to expect. This is some of the best food in the mid-Atlantic. The slogan of the restaurant is "always fresh" and it's so true, you can taste it in their cooking!! We tried the spinach salad, lobster bisque, vegan bowl, and mango habenero wings. The WINGS! Smoked, juicy, fresh, and the sauce is to die for. Best wings ever. Lobster bisque is thick, creamy, and so so so dreamy with giant CHUNKS of lobster throughout. Salad was super fresh with an assortment of toppings and veggie bowl was addicting. It was decent nothing fancy I would've loved for it to be toasted and maybe add some rice and that amazing Cajun corn to make it a tad more filling. 2 others in my party got the salmon, shrimp and grits (she loved) and a stuffed tilapia (he loved) . 2nd visit order the coconut curry salmon with the mashed potatoes and spinach. I've only ever done delivery but the food quality is incredibly hit or miss. The first time I ordered the food was amazing all around. I've been chasing that high every since. I order the same thing Cajun pasta with garlic bread sticks. After the I believe fourth time ordering I'm finally leaving a review. The Cajun pasta and sauce was great! The shrimp on the pasta? Cold... how? Are they made separately? Are they under heat and the warmer is broken? Hard to say but the last thing I want to eat is cold seafood. The breadsticks have become increasingly rubbery and the garlic butter or whatever they use taste more like it was accidentally applied then it was intentional.
