It's a general store. Not much to say other than the fact that this place will not price gouge you like typical last chance general stores will. One of the group brought the cooler, but not the ice (Doh!). Thankfully they got a couple of bags from here and our food and drink were protected from the heat. The general store has all that you would need in a pinch, from salt and pepper to cooking utensils and gas for the stove. One neat offering was Patagonia messenger bags for $17.50. The bags were basic but efficient, and a decent deal for those who forget to carry a pack for food and water when they decide to bike along the lake. Bundles of wood was $6.50, which again I thought was a decent deal when the next option, besides the camp host, is Eagle River 20 minutes away. read more
