After reviewing my x-rays and MRI, Dr. Stinner recommended a short term protocol and proceeded with long term plans to reduce my visits to once a month, or as needed. Hard to believe since at that point, I had been to almost a dozen chiropractors and acupuncturists. But Dr. Stinner had a sincerity that convinced me to give him a try. And I am so glad I did! Dr. Stinner wants his clients to get better, not to remain dependent on him. He gave me exercises and made me aware of how to correct my body posture. The extra perks of working with Dr. Stinner are the friendly massage therapists and office staff. I feel very fortunate to have such a wonderful, down to Earth, and thorough chiropractor. And I am proud to say, my visits are down to (usually) every six weeks! After my husband's relative saw my results, she decided to give Dr. Stinner a try. You know your recommendation was a success when a relative raves about her chiropractor to other family members. (Especially to your In-Laws!) I am grateful for Dr. Stinner's services. And relieved to be pain free!

Worst experience I've ever had with a chiropractor. I made…read morean appointment via text message because I was in significant back pain. Despite a recent blizzard and freezing temperatures, I took two forms of transportation to get to the MaxHealth Center office. When I arrived, I was told I did not have an appointment. I showed Dr. Fernandez the text messages confirming it. At that point, she said she didn't realize she had agreed to see someone who is not a "frequent" patient. I had previously used her services once before. During that visit, I found her sales tactics to be aggressive and she could not really adjust my back, but I decided to give her another chance. I explained that I travel often for work, which makes it difficult to come into the office regularly. Her demeanor immediately became hostile. She refused to provide an adjustment solely because I could not commit to frequent visits and told me to "see my way out." I was in real pain and pleaded for help, but I was treated with shocking cruelty and dismissal. Thankfully, I was able to find another chiropractic practice nearby that was professional, compassionate, and willing to help. I do not recommend this provider to anyone--especially if you value professionalism, empathy, or respectful treatment. Unless you can commit to frequent visits and tolerate being spoken to harshly, I would strongly advise going elsewhere.

I have had a fantastic experience with Dr Rief and all the staff at Max Health!…read more I first went to Max Health 4 years ago after experiencing terrible neck and back pain. Initially I selected Max Health because I only go to female doctors and I was planning to see the female chiropractor in the office. When I arrived, I was told I would be seen by Dr. Rief, a male chiropractor. I was understandably surprised but agreed to speak with him. He let me know that his female colleague had an accident earlier that week and broke her arm so she would not be able to treat me. I explained my hesitations to him about working with a male chiropractor and he reassured me of his professionalism and dedication to providing good care. He made me feel safe and comfortable and so I decided to go forward. I saw Dr. Rief 1-2 times per week for several months and he helped me immensely. Fast forward to This year- I had a terrible fall in July, tore my hamstring and hurt my neck and back. I had the worst headache of my life and after visiting several medical doctors I turned to Dr. Rief and the staff at Max Health Center. Unfortunately they don't take my insurance but I pay out of pocket because it's totally worth it! What a game changer! When I first started seeing Dr. Rief in September I could not sit up or stand without experiencing immediate, excruciating, debilitating head and neck pain. I had laid in my bed for a month straight at that point it was so bad. He listened carefully to my situation and then he and the massage therapist worked on me for 90 minutes! (Game changer!) I have been going twice a week for more than a month and the difference is night and day. I am getting my life back!! Dr. Rief and all of the staff at this office care deeply for their patients and their wellness. I have never had to wait for an appointment. I have never once had to wait in the waiting room. I show up on time- they see me on time. The massage therapists are fantastic- in their care and their spirit. The staff are professional and all are a pleasure to deal with. They don't even complain when I ask for a note for my job after every appointment! Dr. Rief has changed my life twice and I am so grateful. I cannot recommend this practice enough! Go there!

My complaint is about the secretary/receptionist who answers the phone and works the front desk. I believe her name is KATIE(not sure about spelling) I came in today to ask for her help in getting a copy of an x-ray I took in their office last year. Because prior to my visit I requested the same info with her by phone the week before and she told me to pick up the xray in the (main bldg) at Hackensack U Hospital at 30 Prospect. I went there twice and they kept telling me they didn't have it. So today when I went in to see if she could facilitate this by making the call herself thus saving time. Her response was "What other info can I give them that you already did?". "Well, did you get a name?" NO, I said I didn't! "Well then what do you want me to do" I said could you just make the call for me, get me a name so I could retrieve it myself? She was EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, CONDESCENDING, and COMBATIVE for no reason other then that is who she is!! I was a patient who needed help and she was nasty to me. I was actually in a good mood when I walked in and gave her NO reason for such disrespectful behavior.
