I was in the mood for Ribs so my husband I decided to go to Cheddar's for dinner. We got seated right away and not long of a wait to get our order. Our waitress was very nice. I ordered the half rack ribs with baked potato and corn. My husband ordered the white fish, lightly fried, with cole slaw and corn. The food was good except my ribs were a little cold I did tell our waitress and she offered to bring me new ones, but I said no. I didn't want to wait. I still recommend Cheddar's

We were seated over in the bar side right away. They have a beautiful large aquarium. Our waiter was friendly and answered our questions. I'm not sure why I couldn't substitute a side salad for the rice that came with many of their entrees, but I paid a few bucks and had one anyway. I ordered the chicken and shrimp, asking for that sauce and pineapple salsa on the side. I'm glad I did that as both were way spicier than I would've liked, plus they were quite sweet. My chicken was tender and flavorful on the inside, but rather dry and overcooked in the outside. The shrimp were small and somewhat overcooked as well. My dining companions all really enjoyed their meals, hence the 4-star rating. I've eaten here before and was satisfied, so maybe it was just the entree I chose this time.

I was here with a large group a few Sundays back. I have to say that their reservation/call ahead process is not the best. For (1) I called before coming (on a Sunday around 12:30pm) stating I was doing a call ahead. The girl said OK, took my info, and right before hanging up the phone, added she'll see what seating looks like when we get there. That kind of alarmed me because we are a larger group so I am aware that it could be a longer wait and we didn't want to wait too long if it was going to be a longer while. That's why I called ahead to see what it looked like And if we could get our party of 10 in: So I asked her, what does the wait look like right now for 10 people? And she responded that she didn't know and would have to wait till we got there to see. I let her know we were only 15 minutes away and asked if the restaurant was busy right now, further asking if we were there at this moment, would we be able to sit down? She still seemed to struggle with her answer, which was frustrating. I was thinking that maybe they would not be too busy since they had only been open an hour or so and wanted to follow up on that thought, but she made it hard. Once arriving, she said that she could give us a proper quote once 50% of the party had arrived , which I thought again was frustrating. Just tell us an estimated time that it'll take to sit 10 people!!Anyway, we were all there fairly quickly and at once. She then walked away and said nothing. Watching her I saw that she went and started setting up a table, which was cool but still, I would've appreciated better communication. The meal was okay. The croissants are not what they used to be. And the New Orleans pasta described a super flavorful, was not. It was very one toned and not reminiscent of the vibrant flavors of New Orleans. If you ask me, it was also pretty clear that the sausage in there was actually cut up hotdogs. I have never tasted a sausage that tasted identical to hotdogs. I ordered the red beans and rice to try them out and they two were OK but I would not order them again. Pictured, were other meals at the table. I will say our server was kind and friendly. Though our food did take over 30 minutes (but I don't necessarily think it's crazy for a large party), my gripe is less about the time it took and more about the servers response. When someone at the table inquired on our food, she responded that our food was ready and was just had been sitting in the window already for 10 minutes. I thought this was a strange thing to say and when discussing it with someone else that heard the comment, they said that they heard differently. They heard her say that she just put in the food order 10 minutes ago. I honestly don't know which one is worse. They're both bad responses as we had ordered like I said over 30 minutes prior. Anyway, I believe the sums up our experience . I don't think I'll be returning to cheddars again.

Cheddars has got to have the best "Fish & Chips" around! I had that while my Wife had Ribs & Tenders. Both outstanding! I started w/APP Wisconsin chesse curds w/Dipping. Was good, but needed a little bit of better cheese (bland) and cooked a little more. The garden salads were perfect! Even served having a cold fork which it should be. Thanks for that! I elected to have the Beer battered fresh cut Onion Rings that also were cooked perfect! Of course you get a couple of glazed croissants always freshly done. My wife had a Long Island Ice Tea, I just had D. Coke. $71 check. Service was SPOT on! We'll be back!!

Cheddar's is always delicious! We typically like the atmosphere in the bar area because of the TV's. In the regular dining area we like the booths and they have tables as well for large parties. This place is great for celebrating special events (birthdays, graduations, etc). The staff is always super friendly and helpful, from the host/hostess, to the wait staff. I usually enjoy getting the bourbon glazed salmon with shrimp and my husband gets the full rack of ribs. The chicken and salad options are really good too. All of these are great portions. They have a good variety of sides too! And you can't skip the bread!!

It's been a long time since I've actually come to Cheddar's. I'm glad that I did. It's good to see that they still have some of my favorites. Once again. I got the red beans and rice this time. I opted for some grilled shrimp and the chicken strips along with steamed broccoli. A server was very friendly and attentive. got our food order quickly, and our food came out just as quick he even brought over croissants Nice and fresh and never once did we have to ask for a refill on our drinks as he paid so much attention that when he saw us getting low, he would bring us a fresh glass..

Located right off Broadway in El Con Mall. There is ample parking, but the way it is set up, narrow stalls...park carefully. Dined in June 28, 2024 Ambiance-Nothing particularly standout. Clean. Sat at the bar. 3 stars Service-Bartender made me perfect bitters and soda, demontrated interest, made solid food recommendation. Well above average. 4 stars Food-Excellent! Had the New Orleans Pasta (penne/spicy cream sauce, chicken, shrimp, sausage) with a salad. Solid value. Great flavor, didn't leave hungry. Would go back! 4 stars.

    Monte Cristo
    Lara M.

Out running errands today and feeling a bit peckish, so I decided to get take away from Cheddars Scratch Kitchen. I ordered through the app paid and made my way to the curbside pickup. The Monte Cristo sandwich with raspberry jam and broccoli cheese casserole arrived with a smile and I was on my way. The Monte Cristo is a battered deep fried ham and turkey sandwich with a raspberry dipping sauce. The broccoli cheese casserole was very cheesy and mixed with rice. It was good but I think in my mind I was expecting just vegetables and cheese. Very good, inexpensive and easy. There are many lunch specials from $10-$15 that I will be trying. Nice job Cheddars!

Every time I'm in town I make sure to eat at Cheddars! The service is ALWAYS amazing! No matter how busy they are they're consistently amazing when it comes to service! Food is good too! I love that it's budget friendly! I love how relaxed the atmosphere is too!

    Cajun Chicken Bowl
    Robbie H.

It's been a long time since I've been to Cheddar's. I came during the lunch hour :). First Impression: When the Cajun Chicken Bowl arrived at my table, I felt an immediate burst of joy. Imagine the colorful ingredients sitting there like they've been prepped for a photo shoot. The chicken was glistening with seasoning, and the fresh veggies added a nice splash of color. I knew my taste buds were in for a ride, but little did I know just how wild it would get! Interactions: I have to say, I felt like I was entering a Cajun comedy club. The staff brought over my bowl with a grin that hinted, "Oh, you're about to taste the spice of your life." Even the person two tables down gave me a knowing look as if to say, "Hang on for this one." They didn't lie. Food: The first bite had me hooked. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, hitting that magical spot between spicy and smoky. Underneath, the rice was soft but not mushy, and the red beans added that classic Cajun combo feel. Service: The staff really committed to the experience -- they were friendly, quick, and always around without hovering. It was like they'd sensed the exact moment I needed a refill or an extra napkin after trying to look cool but spilling a bit of corn salsa on myself. Props to the team for handling my little mess-ups without a smirk (or at least none I caught). Value: This bowl was definitely worth every penny. It came packed with fresh ingredients, and the portion was large enough to leave me feeling happily full but not overly stuffed. At this price point, it's a solid deal for anyone craving bold flavors without breaking the bank. I may have tried to scrape every last grain of rice out of the bowl -- no shame here! Recommendation: If you like a bit of spice and adventure in your meal, run -- don't walk -- and try this bowl. Whether you're a Cajun connoisseur or just looking for something to wake up your taste buds, the Cajun Chicken Bowl is a must. A fair warning: the flavors will linger, and you might find yourself daydreaming about it the next day (yes, I did).

I love their complimentary bread. We received really good service here, thanks to Craig. It is actually my first time trying this place, and it did not disappoint. It is quite far from where I live, but it is worth it. The place is kept clean. Their serving portions are large, with a wide selection of food and drinks. Everything we had was really good, and surprisingly, their menu prices are very affordable. I would definitely come back.

Does Cheddars have a meeting room area that can accommodate 15 people?

Not necessarily a meeting room, but they do have areas that can see a large group. I have had work meetings at lunch there for teambuilding. And we had our family dinner the day after Christmas there.

I went with the 3-for-$11 taco deal and it was more than enough food. You get to choose between green or red salsa; I went with the green, which definitely has a nice kick. I asked the server if they could mix it up with two brisket tacos and one pork belly, and they were happy to accommodate. After reading some mixed reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised--nothing was dry or overly fatty. Everything was flavorful and delicious. My total for four 10-oz beers and three tacos was just over $20, which is an incredible deal for the quality and amount of food and drink. I came to watch the U of A basketball game, and this place is perfect for it--plenty of TVs, tons of seating, and even space for large groups. There's also a covered outdoor patio with lots of seating, plus foosball and cornhole. Parking was easy, too. It ultimately pushed me to stop supporting this business, and based on those experiences, I can no longer recommend it. There are far better BBQ options out there. From what I personally witnessed, the owner, David, was consistently disrespectful toward employees and created a company culture that I don't believe deserves support. Suffice to say she absolutely raved - placing it on par with many of the Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants she has sampled back east. And, we agreed, when Michelin publishes its first-ever SouthWest U.S. edition later this year (2026) I recognize getting a star is a mighty fete but if Tito/Pep does not at least make its S.W. Bib list I will know the fix is in. We started with the Queso Fundido ($13) - with chewy cheese, sauteed mushrooms, and beef chorizo it was a perfect blend of meaty/savory/fatty. We also ordered the Grilled Octopus ($17). What a surprise this was, the crunchy roasted pepper flakes and unusually soft grilled octopus it kicked the pants off of "calamari-style." We inquired and the way they remove the typical rubberiness is by poaching the octopus tentacles for 5(!) hours before grilling. You Go chef Martinez! For our entree we opted for the day's special: deep fried whole Red Snapper for two ($85)... as did about a half-dozen other tables in this intimate 20-tabled venue. See pics as a written description is inadequate. The crisp was excellent and the tender moist fish just beneath, exquisite. The roasted jalapenos were other worldly - somehow only mild heat and with a subtle sweet/acid presence... totally and entirely edible. As fantastic as the vinegar slaw was atop our self-made fish tacos, the tomatillo puree was ridiculous - so fresh and not sour that its scent was nearly as strong as its flavor. We asked again, how?! and were told they first cook the tomatillos for 3 hours. Folks, the effort involved to present this kind of meal would be nearly impossible to do at home for even double the cost. We concluded with the ganache dessert ($12). While so richly decadent it was possibly too rich, only by virtue of its size... it needs to be shared! We were deeply torn over that or the olive oil cake and will opt for the latter... next year, Lol. For drinks we ordered two glasses of their "red blend" (really good for a simple blend) and then the Pie Allen after dinner cocktail ($13) - an interesting combination of prickly pear liquor and port. The staff were amazing - not just in timely attentiveness (a minimum requirement at this level) but especially in terms of being able to field our deep curiosities about several of the dishes. Due to our "layers" of ordering we stayed an easy 2+ hours and were never rushed. Parking will get tight at peak times but everyone will be accommodated. Pre-tip we were at $165 - a special occasion outing for sure but, we both agreed, an (almost) bargain. At this level of quality and degree of effort in Chicago or Miami (places she recently lived) would be closer to $250 for two. Small note: three years ago this began, now it's the norm - restaurants are calculating the tip based upon a total that's After the tax has been added. It's a minor but, nonetheless, unconsented-to, inflation of the tip. Just an fyi :)

From the drinks to the entrees and dessert everything was fantastic. Easily the best salmon entree I've ever had. Our service was excellent throughout the night. I ordered a beer that wasn't what I expected and they not only apologized but promptly removed it from the bill, offered a replacement and even went so far as to say they will change the description on the menu to avoid confusion in the future. We will absolutely be thinking about this meal until we return in the future!
