Ok, so review questionable because I actually work here part-time, BUT I believe it to be fair. I have had just about everything on the menu at least a few times. The menu added a "New Orleans" Pasta recently which is Pene pasta with a thick cajun alfredo sauce. It is tossed with sausage, chicken, and grilled shrimp. I friggin NOMMED the crap out of this dish. So Very Good. The one thing I can say is I am not too impressed with the balckened shrimp. Kinda rubbery. I definitely suggest trading out for the fried shirmp which adds a crispy texture to the dish and gives it a fuller dimension. Now for the good sheesh.... The Om Nom Glug-Glug... A NEW DRINK MENU! If you've had drinks at Cheddar's before, you were probably disenchanted with the whole experience of drinking at a family style resaurant. However, Cheddar's has a new drink menu with like 15 or 16 new drinks including a Spicy Mano Mojito, Texas Sweet Tea (AWESOME!), a Grapish Martini and a Cherry Peach Martini. I name these four because they are by far some of the best creations I have had. The Texas Sweet Teas is Lemonade, Vodka, Sweet Tea Vodka, and Amaretto. Holy freakin goodness. Yes please, by the pitcher. They only allow each customer 2 because they are only $3.50 and Quite large (Served in a giant schooner). Anyway. The funeral I went to prior to this trash restaurant had better vibes. Went there for lunch today. We were promptly seated and our waitress was there in lightning fast time tt o take our drink order she brought out drinks quickly and took our food order. Salads came out fast and fresh and thousand island dressing tasted homemade. Very tasty and fresh. Good size also. Food promptly came out. I had the patty melt with their homemade chips. Very good. My boyfriend and I have come to this Cheddar's many times. This time was the worst experience we've ever had. From the beginning, the table they sat us at without offering "booth or table" had very hard seats. Makes it hard to get comfortable, so we asked to be moved. Grant requested. This sat us in a section that was NOT well taken care of, over in the back corner. The waitress was less than attentive. The chips have been changed to baked chips, not my fav in these. My bf ordered the grilled salmon, I ordered a chicken tender platter (the #8, classic). The salmon came to him tasting like dirty fish tank water w a nasty gray slime on the underside. Disgusting!! We called the waitress over, and she suggested we get it RECOOKED! Wow! We opted for a whole new grilled salmon to his liking. This piece came out nice. It was laying on a bed of white rice. My tenders were pretty crunchy, but still had meat on it. I like my chicken and fries like this, but others would disagree. Drink refills were scarce. Last night about 6:30/6:45pm we visited this location with a party of 5. Before I could tell the hostess how many people were in our party she told me that it would be a 45 minute wait and then I wouldn't get my food for at least 30 minutes once we sat at our table. I told her we would wait for our table and we have 5 people in our party. While we're waiting about 10 minutes the hostess then told me that our food would take 45 minutes to come out once we were seated at our table. I said ok we will wait for our table. Not 5 minutes from then the hostess said that it will now be 1 hour wait to get our food once we were seated at our table. At this point I talked it over with my party and we decided to leave. What I noticed was that everyone that came through the door asking about wait time was told the same. 45 minutes to get a table and a hour to get their food because the kitchen was backed up. I hope that this reaches a regional manager or the corporate office. This was a terrible experience. I love Cheddars, but I know that I won't visit this location again unless something changes. The food at Cheddars is pretty good. We've been to a few different ones in the southwest. Our usual order is the Dijon Chicken and Mushrooms and the Key West Chicken and Shrimp, both are usually good meals. They are both items I would recommend if you've never been. The bar makes some very large size drinks if you're looking for something along those lines. The only complaint I had wasn't our servers fault. We arrived at 4:15pm and our food didn't arrive until 5:20pm and the restaurant wasn't busy. read more

Ah, Cheddar's. I grew up in Arlington and when I was in high school, Cheddar's was the 'cool' place to go after athletic events, or out with a group of friends, etc. So, Cheddar's is close to my heart. Over 10 years after high school, I almost always visit Cheddar's when back home visiting. Sometimes, I even meet up with old high school friends there. But I guess that's another story. Cheddar's is not a fancy restaurant. Their menu is similar to that of Chili's, TGI Friday's, etc. but definitely better. Their food doesn't taste as processed and they don't have ridiculous menu items that involve shrimp scampi and/or cheese. If you're looking for pretty straightforward, tasty and cheap restaurant food, Cheddar's is the place. I always order the same thing when I go here...the Hawaiian Chicken sandwich w/ red beans and rice for a side. The sandwich is moist with hints of teriyaki but nothing overwhelming. The red beans and rice is really good...seriously. If you are in a cheese and fat mood, get the chips and queso as an appetizer....really really good! I went to dinner with a friend, got sat down by the bar and we were walked by three waiters. Not one asked if we were doing well or if we've been helped. Race may have been an issue. We are Hispanic and all the people in there were African American and all the waiters on that side were too African American. Two people got sat next to us and they got helped within 2 minutes. We sat there waiting 15-20 mins for nothing. Got up and left. Told the mangers what happened and they didn't even offer to sit us at another area or anything. Very shortly into our meal my girlfriend found a nail and plastic piece in her cajan pasta. He promptly told us he was sorry but did not act very surprised or concerned for that matter. I ordered the "Spasagna" a dish basically described as lasagna made with spaghetti noodles instead of traditional lasagna ones. Seemed pretty straightforward, or so I thought. The dish, ($9.49 before tax) came out & the noodles were drastically overcooked & gummy. I couldn't eat but a few bites it was so nasty. I pushed it aside & my server picked it up after I informed her of my displeasure & she brought me my check. During this crazy time with covid and rarely anything being open I was happy to find that cheddars was open for dine in. As we walk in, my fiancé and got seated immediately, saw us coming from outside and had everything ready to go. As we sat down the table was very dirty underneath with food particles still on the floor, luckily the table had a sight that it had been cleaned and disinfected. We got out drinks, I asked for lemons and the lemons had some squishy substance on the that I know for a fact was not part of the lemon. As my fiancé and I ordered it was very improper. Using " wussup " as a reply to asking a question. Very improper. As our food came out i got the lighter portion of lemon herb chicken, it was undercooked, still having lots of pink in the middle.
