Best Taxi experience I have ever had!!…read more I woke up yesterday to a dead battery in my car, and I had to get my kindergartner to school. Having moved here just a couple of months ago, and only knowing a few people in town, I had no other option other than to use a taxi. I called Oakdale Taxi, and crossed my fingers that I would be able to make it to school on time. To my surprise, Oakdale Taxi was at my door in less than 10 minutes, but that wasn't the best part. The best part was the driver, Kathy. Kathy was extremely friendly, and totally empathetic of my situation. She drove my son and I to his school, waited for me to get him to class, and made sure to tell me that there was no hurry. She explained to me that she was charging me a flat rate for the service, so time wasn't an issue. I really appreciated that, as there's nothing worse than the feeling of having to rush because the meter is running. After dropping my son off at school, Kathy helped my find an auto parts store, and took me to get a new battery. Again, Kathy was sure to tell me no to stress, and that there was no hurry. Later, I was dropped off back at my house, and I was charged a very reasonable rate. To be honest, I really expected to pay double the price that she charged me, so it was a nice surprise. The entire time that I was in the taxi, Kathy was very professional, and gave me lots of information about Oakdale, as she was a long time resident. She shared the best places to eat, the best places to shop, and a list of fun things to do with my family. It was very much appreciated. Kathy spent time helping me that day, not just because it was her job, but more importantly, because she possesses a genuine love of people, and compassion for others. I'm convinced that she is the type of person who always puts the customer first. She mentioned that she has been in the customer service industry for over 30 years, and believe me, it showed. Oakdale Taxi is very lucky to have someone like Kathy representing their company. If I ever need a taxi in the future, and I'm sure I will, Oakdale Taxi will be my first phone call. Thank you, Kathy, for taking such good care of my son and I, and for leaving such a nice lasting impression on us. It's because of people like you, that make Oakdale such a great place to live.
