I wanted an artistic, magical documentary of our unique event, and looking at my wedding album, that's just what I got. Dani was great at organizing our posed group shots--the must haves--but also captured those unexpected spontaneous moments that made the event unique and memorable. Like my husband dancing with his sister, or the look of utter shock on my friend's face when she caught my bouquet. (Btw, going to that friend's wedding next month!) The big bonus is that Dani brings more to the table than her talent. Her candor and years of experience make her easy to work with and a major asset to your wedding planning team, giving valuable advice and even helping pace the event.

Besides showing 2 of the same shots in different places in the video, 2 very important events were missing! A special tribute by my niece was her beautifully singing "I have nothing" by Whitney Houston and not one note was included in the final video. I was so disappointed! But worse!: my son made a wonderfully funny and loving toast. He had the guests and everyone there in stitches and smiles. What was recorded? Nothing! Ingrid frantically went around the room asking if anyone had recorded it. Another niece had so she sent it to Ingrid to be included in the video but it wasn't included. I was so disappointed in the final product. I called Ingrid and asked that, if redoing the video would be too much work, maybe she could just send me a copy of my niece singing and my son's toast. She hung up on me!! I emailed her months later indicating that I was very troubled by this but have never heard back. Here it is, a year later, and I still lose sleep over the disappointment of not being able to enjoy a good video of a very special event.

Additionally, proposing over Thanksgiving weekend requires planning far in advance to be sure that all of your options for photographers are not out of town. I, stupidly, did not appreciate that fact until it was two days prior to my proposal and I frenetically decided to change photographers. After numerous strike outs, a deep dive on Yelp brought me to Gianna's page. She, fortunately, was one of the few well-reviewed photographers available for a last minute proposal shoot. Booking with her occurred breezily through email and Venmo, and Gianna remained in constant touch in the days leading up to the proposal. On the day of, Gianna was responsive, punctual, and professional. She kept in touch and remained flexible despite some unforeseen snafus in planning. Even after the big moment, Gianna worked patiently with us. She and her assistant wrangled my rowdy group with ease and spent plenty of time to ensure our special day was captured ideally. We received a sneak peek gallery from the session two days later and the pictures turned out incredible. Even better, her prices were totally reasonable. If we decide to do an engagement shoot or anything else requiring high quality pics, Gianna will be the obvious choice.
