Ordered 10 cubic yards of composted manure. They gave us some extra and helped us load some into…read morethe beds (the truck got stuck but they didn't have to be so amazing). The person that came to help us was hardworking and just wonderful. (extra stars) We don't know the quality of the manure yet (I will update after this season) but it is said to be nicely screened. The delivery on the very first dry day that was available (it's been raining all week--the manure is too heavy to haul if they're wet), and the delivery fee was super cheap especially if you're living in North Alberta. Can't wait to check out the trees next year (much cheaper than where we got ours). It is only May and a lot were already sold out so it might be a good idea to check them out ahead of time.

We wilfully paid the 30% premium to buy local to our cottage, as we do with all locally owned businesses in the vicinity. Moving forward will will buy from greenhouses in the city and transport them to the cottage, those businesses stand behind their products and I would not be writing this warning. my $500 lesson not to deal with this local business.
