A lot of stores and vendors already left so it's almost like a ghost town or those abandon mall videos you see online The mall is in need of a full remodel to make it more modern. There a couple of food places, Finish Line still here, The Children Place and a jewelry store. Beside that there nothing much to attract crowds like back in the days. I think people come here to use the free wifi.

To my surprise I noticed it was a mall as I was pulling in the parking lot. I had low expectations considering the condition of the building. I walked in, it was completely empty. Closed store signs, vacant restaurants, dim lighting no one at the kiosks. I found the store I was looking for, it was worth the trip but I highly doubt that I will come back here.

From the high security in Home Depot and date feel to it's complete revamp in more recent years. The Plant is a huge open mall shopping center with major stores including Burlington, Ross dress for Less and Home Depot to name a few. They have various mall classics such as GameStop, GNC and Starbucks For eats you have OneHawaiian BBQ, Blaze Pizza, Chipotle and In N Out to name most There's Petsmart for your pet needs. Sally Beauty aka Sally's for your hair care needs. I've been to Regency more this year than I have in the past 10 and dig the GameStop, appreciate The Gap as well as the L.A. Care Community Resource Center (formerly where the HomeTown Buffet was back in the day). There's so much parking in all direction including behind, on the Regency side. Great affordable clothing, comforts, services and food. It stays busy, but rarely feels overwhelming. It's very close to the Van Nuys Train Station for the Amtrak + MetroLink and being off Van Nuys Blvd it's connected to a lot of local LA Metro busses/services like LADOT DASH. There was Party City but it recently closed a couple months ago. Not only that, it also house the Regency Theatre around the back. There's a few food options, more chain places but In and Out being the top contender. Besides that, you have other chain's restaurants along the strip of Van Nuys Blvd. There loads of parking spaces available which comes in handy. Both for the strip mall as well out back where the movie theatre is. Across the street is Living Spaces. Another chain stores for furniture. It's pretty massive and I believe it's affiliated with the plant.

I prefer shopping with individual merchants in my neighborhood. But eventually, we all have to take a trip to the Apple Store, or to a department store. It's inevitable. What I forgot about is how friendly all the merchants are. I parked at the wrong end of the mall and couldn't seem to find my bearing. All I had to do was ask any Merchant and they all directed me with a smile to where I needed to go. Even when I didn't buy anything from them. People were just very accommodating and happy. I guess malls are a happy place. Retail therapy is real. I can't speak much to value, because of course prices range from hide below, depending up on where you're going. I went to Bloomingdale's for lunch and then I went to H&M for jeans. High to low. I must say that everything is so convenient. I picked up things I didn't really intend to because I remember I needed them and I was there. All in all, I would say it was a great experience. I'll probably be going back to the mall again.

Despite the blemishes of grit and graffiti here and there the Van Nuys Village plaza does it's best to stay clean and inviting. The 7-Eleven has good stock and customer service and is the only business in this plaza that's 24/7 however El Pollo Loco, which offers curbside pick up and Yoshioka keep pretty late hours as well for your convenience. Despite having several small and well known chain businesses the parking is very easy and almost never packed. The Metro PC by T-Mobile is very well kept as our the businesses not open at the moment. Good health and safety practices at every business at the VN Village center on the corner of Van Nuys Blvd and Kittredge Street. Pretty much within walking distances for me so I find myself here or nearby pretty often.

My go to place here are mainly Habit Burger, Wingstop, Chase bank, California Fish Grill and TMobile store. But I visited Ross, Dunkin Donuts, Vitamin Shoppe, Jersey Mike's, Mencies, Sliverlake Ramen, Ono Hawaiian, the UPS store and Ulta Beauty. The only place I haven't visited yet is the 24 Hour fitness, the Dentistry, Mattress Firm, AT&T and Bank of America. There plenty of parking here as well and there even more parking toward the back of the center. I usually park in the back because it's less traffic to enter or leave. They also have security guard walking around in the plaza for any problems.

Once was an anomaly. Several times?! Then something feels fishy here. As if they're hoping people don't questions things and just pay for the parking even when they didn't have to. Feels like they're running a scam.
