The customer service is awesome. I was serviced by two individuals here, Jessica and Linda. They…read morewere both polite and efficient, however, Jessica was a superstar. I needed to get a check endorsed and was advised to go here by a phone agent. Once I arrived, Jessica wasn't able to endorse it. She asked a colleague for help and the colleague who was rushing out the door said, "is her mortgage current?" Jessica replied, yes. The woman then said, "she'll have to mail the check then, it does that sometimes" - then ran out the door. Now I know she was in a rush, but what if my mortgage wasn't current? I'd imagine yelling that out loud would be embarrassing for someone! So why is Jessica a star? Because she didn't accept her colleagues response- she called into the 800 number to get a reason and was able to get it processed over the phone saving me a trip to Fedex and the hassle of an endorsement via mail which would've taken days! Going the extra mile is important because I can assure you that I would've taken it to another branch, and when that banker calls it in to get it processed I would've been pissed that the initial location didn't try! So why the missing star? Availability- there were only two bankers during lunch hour (including the drive through). One was working the inside clients and the other was working the drive through. I was in no rush, but had I been coming in during a lunch break I'd be slightly irritated by the line and wait. Keep up the good work Linda and Jessica!!

The staff at this bank acted without ethics during a foreign currency exchange transaction. On April…read more6 2017, I attempted to convert $800 USD to Colombian Pesos (COP) but instead I received the equivalent of $580USD worth of COP. I left quickly after receiving my Pesos to meet a client at my office. I assumed that the tellers accurately handled the transaction, but knew I had my receipt as proof just in case they didn't. Looking back I should have taken the time to do the math while at the window to ensure they had honored the actual exchange rates. I feel so foolish trusting that employees at Chase would uphold integrity during the transaction. When I got home and counted the Pesos, I realized the difference was equivalent to $220 USD. I was shocked. What happened to the money? Was I charged a fee of (27.5%) to do a simple currency conversion? Did the teller do the unthinkable and profit underhandedly from the transaction? All of these were questions that went through my mind. I returned to the bank to get an explanation of calculation. According to my receipt Chase calculated the the rate on 4/6/17 to be 2090 COP = 1 USD. According to every other source I checked the rate for that day was 2850COP = 1 USD. The teller was rude deflective and acted as if she had no idea how to help me and finally told me I had to speak to a personal banker. This branch usually has a long line to speak to the one or two personal bankers that are actually working, and today was no different. The funniest part about the whole situation was that the branch manager was just standing around in the corner of the branch acting as if he was unable to help any of the customers. I waited 20 minutes only for the personal bankers to tell me I had to speak to a teller about the transaction. At this point I was feed up with the employees at this branch so I called the online support to get assistance. I explained the situation to the a phone rep and she stated that the rates Chase provides to customers are derived from x-rates.com. While waiting I visited the site and confirmed that x-rates.com also showed 2850COP =1USD on April 6 2017. At this point I was furious. After spending 30 minutes in the bank, the rude and clueless teller came to sit when me. She dialed several phone numbers and presumably (I would not put it past her to have been talking to the dial tone) reached a bank representative on the other end. She stated that the phone rep on the other line told her the same exact thing she thought "Chase has the right to make up whatever rates they want." I found it interesting that phone rep refused to talk to me. All of this seemed so shady, and I convinced that the tellers at this branch acted without ethics because they could not and have not explained to me to the fee structure. I contacted three of major banks after this incident and they were each about to explain in detail how the rates are calculated and the fee for the transaction. Overall I am very upset with how I was treated by the staff members in Lilburn and I feel as if I was cheated. When I got up to leave I was obviously frustrated and uphappy and the teller rudely said to me "You're Welcome" as to imply that I thanked her wasting my time for stealing my money. That comment was not only insulting but it showed a lack of empathy. This branch definitely needs to revisit their standards of Customer Service. I have banked with Chase of over nine years but will be closing my account next week based on this transaction and moving my funds to a more ethical and customer service focused institution. If you are reading this I advise you to avoid this branch.
