This is my first time at this branch. Upon entering, I was able to speak with a teller that directed me back to a young lady about setting a new account. I was assisted by Jose E who helped me open an account. He was super cordial and explain everything that I needed know. I feel that this is going to be a good relationship over my last bank. On a side note: This branch is super busy and they have multiple new accounts representatives and loan officers that are able to assist and at least four to five tellers on the line. Chase has terrible customer service. I've been banking with him for 10 years have multiple accounts with him. I've tried to contact a person to deal with a problem that they created with no success. When I finally do contact a person they hand me off to somebody else who handed me off to somebody else until I get disconnected. Maybe you should try a local bank that has a real people to support you. read more

Really Chase? Really!!! Drove all the way to south salinas to use the drive thru atm only to pull up to a janky ripped up sign that its out of order. What happened to service standards? Chase Bank - Drive Up ATM is down! - Banks & Credit Unions Near Me - Salinas, California

Terrible branch. I had a small safety deposit box at this branch for a couple of years, then closed it, filling out all the paperwork. Earlier this week I got a bill for my "annual lease." So Chase on Main failed to send the paperwork on to the deposit box bills service. OK, how to fix? The bill included a number: please call your local branch or visit it. THERE IS NO WAY BY PHONE TO SPEAK TO A HUMAN AT THIS BRANCH. Even the national Chase people can't raise a live human at the Main Street Salinas branch. This seems to me terribly problematic, if a branch literally never answers the only phone number listed publicly, and if even the national bank can't use other phone numbers to reach a live human. The manager of this branch is Jessica Brost, and when I go in (a half-hour drive each way), I intend to give her a piece of my mind. I will be transferring my money to a local credit union as soon as I can. read more

This bank's customer service sucks. We show up to see if we can get a situation handled with a personal account. Wasn't greeted for 10 mins. Some woman comes out which I'm assuming is their "Branch Manager", she's the one with the white shirt, brown hair, and shoulder length bob. She comes out asking us if we been helped. No, we haven't been helped. We haven't been greeted for over 10 mins. We explained we needed to speak to a banker about our personal account. She told us to have a seat, and someone will assist us. Then some blonde comes over, and tells us we needed an appointment. I said, "Ummm, no. We were told we will be assisted." It wasn't until Martin Bravo, took him upon himself to help us. Chase received a credit card payment from one of my customers. Merchant services (owned by chase bank) took the money from my account. Chase states that they cannot help me. Merchant services states that they can hold my money up to years, and refuses to give me my money back or give me a reason! read more

This branch is a joke. 9 times out of 10 their ATMs aren't working. Maybe it's because they are so incredibly old. When they are working it takes forever to do a transaction. After hours you are taking your life in your hands because the ATMs in the outer lobby are behind an entrance door that isn't locked and doesn't have an entry system that requires a card to enter. I use this branch on my way to work or on the way home. The branch near my home was recently closed. This leaves only 2 branches for the entire city of about 350,000 residents. I'm thinking of transferring all of my accounts to another back if things don't improve soon. read more

Always super helpful. Remembers their returning customers. Actually helps you instead telling you "do it from the app" i live on the other side of town with a Chase Bank right next to me but I believe south main is worth the drive and time. Thank you read more

I don't like to write bad reviews but this bank seriously needs to get their act together. 1 teller with 15 of us waiting in line. I left work early to avoid the lunch hour rush but at 10 am?!! Every single time I come to a chase there is only 1 or 2 teller. People get upset, annoyed and impatient and take it out on the poor tellers but its management's decision to have 1 teller. Come on chase! The bank's lack of consideration for its customers is shameful. ZERO stars! read more

I was trying to open a business account. I was sitting there for 20Minutes no one tried to help.and honestly is getting really branch. the service on this branch you hardly see any employees working. A guy walking five minutes after me sign up on the check in list and after five minutes he just walk right into one of the bankers and Start helping him out instead of going by the list. And looks like he knew the guy because they even give a hug to each other what the heck is that very unprofessional. Im glad i didn't open the account here!! Walked in Chase Bank to take money out from my IRA there where 10 people waiting but I was the fourth one in line they helped everyone except me still waiting 10 minutes more no one called me for help. It went up to the receptionist to ask why I haven't been helped. They said they would be right with me so I sat down in a few minutes later a couple walked in and they where helped with in two minutes I'm still there sitting waiting so I just walked out from the bank very upset about this being very rude letting me wait for a long time that I had to walk out from Main Street Bank Salinas California this is very rude and I don't appreciate this treatment I have been a customer for more than 15 years. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS BRANCH!!! 10AM two tellers, a line over 40 minutes long and a greeter encouraging you to utilize some crappy automated system. They blocked off any opportunity for any other tellers to open up yet clearly had plenty of staff to do so. Heads up! If you have a check to deposit and can't wait in line use the ATMs at the drive up or walk in. Don't use the crummy trial system they have replaced the tellers with. It ate my check and now I have to wait for someone to pull it out. read more

Thinking I wanted to open a new account with a credit union I went to this banks neighbor and within 30 seconds I was out that door and in this location. Used the sign in when a young lady came over and stated she'd be with me as soon as possible and that the wait time was about an hour. I said I'd return a bit later. The same gal greeted me as soon as I returned and a short time later I was in and out in a proficient and timely manner. Kudos to banker Shaniz for being personable and efficient. She was a real pleasure to have as my banker this day. read more

So, there's a banker here named Martin who has made my financial life absolute misery. He doesn't know what he's doing and should NEVER be allowed to work in the banking industry. At every turn, he provided information that was inaccurate, and two months later, I am still trying to clean this entire mess up. He even stated that he faxed the proper forms to the big honchos only to discover that they were never received. Stay FAR, FAR away from Martin and CHASE!!!! read more

Chase has always had long lines and rude and slow tellers. Since they've started putting those new ATMs and reduced the amount of tellers the lines have gotten ridiculously long, it's such a very long wait with only two tellers open and the line almost out of the door. No one is even using those new automated tellers, they can't even print cashiers checks or accept loan payments. I've had enough with Chase and I'm glad I closed my account and switched to a different bank. Best decision I've made and I will never do business with chase anytime soon. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would . I just rcvd my insurance check. It was a Chase check, I went to cash it, i spent 30 min in lime but because of the amount they didnt want to cash it. Then they said they would cash some of it if I opened an acct , so i spent 1 hr opening account just so they can tell me that they cannot cash a Chase check. They are liars and will tell you anything for your business. Untrustworthy!!! read more
