The ATM greets you with something went wrong. Make it work or shut it down and stop wasting my time.

BMO Bank

Never in my life has a bank made it more difficult to open an account. "Open in Minutes" turned…read moreinto this: 1. Account opened in minutes. 2. Account suspended within minutes... then asks for a copy of my ID, but this time notarized with a special form provided by BMO, plus the business card of the notary. Then I must scan and upload all of that. 3. Next, I must call within 24 hours and wait on hold for a long time, then ask for a manager, wait on hold again, then speak to the manager, and finally get told we're good to go after nearly a week of back and forth. However, I can't log in and have to go through more trouble on the phone to confirm the account is finally up and running. Then I initiate a direct deposit and it gets sent to BMO, plus the $25 account opening deposit. After thousands of dollars are sent to BMO via direct deposit, the account is suspended again and they ask for more items, including ID (for the third time), plus a social security card, plus a utility bill. Meanwhile, they have my money, or at least I don't have it, and I can't access the account that was "opened in minutes". I get treated very poorly by their "manager" whom I'm forced to speak to. I ask if there is any guarantee there is ever an end to this cycle of account suspension and piecemeal requests for ever more information. I am told they can't guarantee that. I have everything documented and recorded and would just be done with them, except that they have my money hostage at this point. Worst experience ever. Not sure if I'll ever get the account open or get my money back. I may have to sue.

Shannon is a dishonest branch manager and kinda nuts…read more I entered the Sedona branch to cash a check drawn at BMO by a wireless company. The bank claimed that their manager is on vacation and so they couldn't cash it. I asked to call a manager that is working and they called Shannon. Shannon got on the phone and claimed that no branch could cash it because the bank policy is not to cash checks over $3,000 for non BMO clients. I bank with TD Bank. I told her that was fine and that I would settle for a Copy of the policy that prohibits cashing checks for non clients over $3,000. She refused to even look for it, likely because it doesn't exist. I began to tell Shannon that the staff told me I could cash the check at a branch with an on duty mgr. she interrupted me and said she would hang up if I kept yelling. I was virtually whispering because the bank teller was standing right next to me. I asked Shannon not to accuse me of behaving in a way that I wasn't behaving because that would make me angry. Shannon then accused me of threatening her and hung up. Watch out folks; Shannon is a whiner, deceptive, and accuses people of false and defamatory acts

I have been with this bank for over 3 years. I like the tellers but this is the worst bank I have…read moreever worked with. Some of the staff is just rude. They have been owned by 3 different banking corporations and this last move has been the worst. Tons of apologies but not corrective action. Customer service is not a priority. Past time for me to move on.

It has taken me awhile to calm down sufficiently to write a review of my experience. This…read more"adventure" started with a desire to support the businesses in the town we would be nearest upon completion of our new off-grid home. With an 800+ credit score and a paid off home in Phoenix, we went to Country Bank and met with the loan officer for residential construction projects. Upon completing the packet of information required, we were assured that the loan should not be a problem. Approximately 90 days later, I called to check on the progress of the loan was told that the loan officer we had worked with had left Country Bank. Our application had not even been started or properly filed for follow up. We met with the next loan officer and had to start the process from scratch (employment history, pay stubs, banking records and investment info) and pay some processing/inspection fees (two more weeks). About 45 days later, we were told that our building cost estimates were stale and we needed to get new bids. This process took another 45 days to get the bids from the subcontractors. After that it was another 2-3 weeks before their chosen reviewer could get out to the site and do the "comps" and inspections. That person's report was completed about two weeks after that. While all of this delay was taking place, the revised building costs had gone up almost 15%. After all of this we were told the loan was denied due to the unfavorable comps and the bank had decided against funding off-grid projects. Even the refunding of the unused fees was an ordeal as the request for refund had not been submitted by the loan officer. Country Bank's inefficiency in inexcusable. We will NOT do business with nor recommend them.

The Prescott branch is the worst. There is no drive through service. I was told it's because they cannot get enough help. However, they have an individual that's stands at the rope where the line for tellers begin and her job is to dissuade individuals from Going to the tellers and use the ATM. She offers to help Instruct people to use the ATM. We are not ignorant. If we Wanted to use the atm we would. Put that lady at a drive thru teller. There is the staff. What a waste of payroll To have her trying To convince people to use the ATM. I believe it's time for me to close my accounts with Wells Fargo and go to Chase or a credit union. I used to Love Wells Fargo but their processes and poor customer service do not deserve to hold my money.

So far when compared to Prescott Valley location this location, 825 Miller Valley Rd in Prescott…read moreoutshines that of the PV branch. Not being the accounts primary owner as that's my mom so I was seeking assistance to help me get onto her acct since moms health has deteriorated rapidly from Dementia/Alzheimer's sadly making her unable to do her banking herself. The process was long, many trips/appts with branch personnel to finally obtain and produce all the documents needed to do this. Seems a POA, Power of attorney on healthcare/finical all done by attorneys only a few years ago is not all that's needed and the extra documents were a tad bit hard to get as dealing with 2 separate doctors and having them each write a letter explaining my mom's condition etc wasn't all that easy as I'd expected. Finally after all this was done everything is as needed. I think Kerrie in customer service at the Wells Fargo in Prescott off of Miller Valley Rd made the process somewhat easier to understand and work with when compared to when I initially attempted to do this at the Prescott Valley branch. There, the rep was callous, crude, cared less about anything I was needing help with nor gave me any sense of idea as to what all was needed. My recommendation is to avoid the Prescott Valley Branch and do yourself a bonus by going to any other Branch location. I really dislike to say this as my mom worked for the bank for 32 years before retiring and never once have I been so disappointed with a Branch Location like now. I suspect that the normal everyday banking like deposit/withdraws etc the PV Branch is fine. I personally don't bank with Wells Fargo and this bad experience supports as to why I shouldn't. With the exception of the Prescott Branch I'll not return to see how I'd be treated like in the future. So, Wells Fargo I think there's some work that can be improved upon and starting locally at PV Location, getting a new Customer Service Banker is a great being. I am giving this rating only on the Prescott Location but added why I didn't handle things locally etc. I suppose I could write a separate review but I think all will get the point.

I had a business transaction that could only be handled by Chase Bank, hence the reason for my visit. Anyway, I went to this location and dealt with Katie Jarrell, Lead Associate Operations Officer and all I can say is she was an absolute pleasure to deal with. I'd initially gone in on a Friday morning (yesterday) to handle things which is when I first met with Katie. Later that afternoon, I realized that I had forgotten to deal with something (my error) related to the visit. Long story short, I head back in early the next morning (today, Saturday) and see her smiling face behind the front counter as soon as I walked in, quickly explained to her what I'd forgotten to do and she was ON IT! Without going into a ton of details, she remembered my name when I walked in and greeted me by it (awesomeness :-) was completely easy going and had a 'getter done' kind of attitude when I explained what it was I had to complete. Not only that, she said she'd call me as soon as she heard something and she DID - during the time frame when she said she would. (Note: I'm a HUGE fan when people actually DO what they say they're going to do!) I also dealt with a banker named Jim briefly when I went in today. Jim was also pleasant and extremely helpful. Lastly - a super important detail here - they were SHORT HANDED and she still handled me, and everyone else she was working with like a ROCKSTAR! If for some reason I ever become disenchanted with my present (local) banking institution and had to go a nationwide type bank, I wouldn't hesitate to go to THIS Chase location. Highly recommend!
