Doing business here is not like any other bank I have ever been in. This Fourleaf is a large stand alone with its' own parking lot. Only one entrance / exit makes it simple. But... Once you go in, it's a whole new world. Big bright and without a doubt the friendliest bank team ever. Making a deposit, the reason I usually go there is actually a pleasant experience. First, there is NO huge piece of glass between you and the teller which mean you can actually speak to each other. They always wear a big smile and carry a friendly personality. Fourleaf (formally Bethpage FCU) is a pleasure to do business with and their costs are extremely reasonable. I have free checking and saving without having to keep a ridiculous balance. Clearly, I am a fan and recommend this shop. It was also so nice to see a chmage counting machine. I received an Official bank check payable to my company, issued by the Royal Bank of Canada,…read moreMontreal Canada and payable through JP Morgan Chase New York. The check was paid in US Dollars and clearly so stated on the bank check. I took this check to be deposited to my account on the 27th October 2023. The tellers keep insisting that the check is in Canadian Dollars, even though the check clearly stated US Dollars. Further the routing number on the check goes to JP Morgan Chase New York. Very frustrated and disappointed I left the bank, since the tellers are insisting it's Canadian Dollars and will take 6 to 8 weeks for the funds to be available. I returned ti the same bank on November 4, 2023, got the same answers again. I then went to another Bethpage Branch in New Hyde Park, and what do you know, they processed my check, scanned it and deposited the funds into my account. This fiasco occurred at the 1145 Willis Avenue Branch. I would suggest that any banking relationship that deviates from the norm, please go to another bank or branch. For sure I'm changing my accounts and going to where the tellers etc understand the banking rules instead of giving their customers the royal run around.

Old Country Rd, in Hicksville; I've felt happy enough to stay loyal for 25 years and it hasn't been the same branch manager the whole time. In the past decade in particular it has only gotten better with a real commitment to improvement in efficiency and customer experience. Banks are still banks, with all kinds of complex procedures, so it's all about the personnel and what kind of human interface they can provide. I'm amazed at the care they must put into the hiring or interview process to get such competent, caring people. There's not a lot of turnover, but when it does happen, each time they find a new star. Though it's not the biggest of banks, and doesn't meet every last one of my needs, they deliver a 110% effort and warmth every day.

I'm pretty sure that this is done as a cost savings and seems to work well. In Garden City, you are greeted by two massive ATM machines as soon as you walk in. For deposits, withdrawls transfers, etc... the ATM can help What I like most about the TD branches are the teams. The people in these branches are extremely friendly and helpful. This is very refreshing these days a many places are going with more and more automation to eliminate the branch banker. TD is used for for my wife's business. When I go to the bank with her I am pleased with the time and attention given to her with any questions or concerns. On top of that, her desk was a mess, and her computer looked like it was 10 years old. When I asked if they had paperless billing, she laughed and said no, they don't. Hey Apple Bank, it's 2013! All I needed was a basic checking account that would have a minimal amount of money in it, and this branch is convenient to my work, so in the end it does the job, but walking into other banks in the area will make you feel a lot more confident. I wouldn't go here to hold my life savings, that's for sure.
