They poured champagne for everyone and we had the opportunity to select a red and white wine. The Mediterranean spread of appetizers was delicious. My favorites were the salami that came on the cheese plate and the smoked tuna on the shrimp plate. There was not enough tuna; we were fighting over the few pieces. The halibut was my main course and it came with pureed potatoes. It was good. The cream of roasted peppers soup was also good as a starter. The cherries and chocolate cake came in small pieces with mascarpone on top. For a group fixed menu, I thought the selection was decent and good. The servers were all very attentive and helpful throughout the dinner.

Situated beautifully in an old chestnut-lined street out of the beaten tourist tracks, it is a true gem. The quality and presentation of the food is exquisite every time I visit and the service always professional. The fact that the bread is baked on site and they cure their meat in the little back garden speaks to me of care and attention to detail (I found the bread especially delicious). On last occasion I had a smoked catfish and a chicken salad - both excellent and presented with style and flair. I am yet to try their signature 10 course tasting experience so this review will definitely get an update. Also, if you are a wine aficionado there are treats for you as well. Great location, great food, great wine. You pay for it, but there is no disputing the quality!
