Each time I missed my assistance called ahead of the appointment to cancel. I missed sure to illness.... (I'm 70) I missed for other, more pressing medical appointments (remember IM 70!) and I missed for flooding storm associated with a hurricane (IM 70 AND I DON'T DRIVE!) so today when the appointment slipped my mind and it wasn't on my calendar, I called to reschedule and they informed me that they would no longer see me!

I was scheduled to see a orthodontist to start the long process of preparing for MMA jaw surgery. The week before one of my front veneers brakes. I call my orthodontist in a panic. They recommended calling Barras Family Dentistry. I must confess I didn't have much hope in getting help. You see, I had reached out over the weekend to the dentist that originally did the work and never got a return call. Much to my surprise they immediately made me an appointment. Not only that Dr. Brock came in on his day off and assisted Dr. Christy - I got two dentist!!! the replaced veneer was beautiful. But my story doesn't end there. The next week I had surgery.... and much to my surprise and heartbreak when I woke up... ( you can't make this stuff up) two of my other front veneers were broken during surgery. To make it even more devastating... you guessed it... I was scheduled to get my braces the very next day! In tears I call the office of Dr. Christy. The wonderful ladies at the front desk consoled me and said hold on we got you. Sure enough Dr. Christy and Dr. Brock rearranged their entire morning to fit me in before my other appointment! everything went great and I was able to get my braces on time! I don't use the word BLESSING lightly... However there's no other word for what Dr.Christy and Dr. Brock did for me. I will and already have recommended them to everyone!

Ot was quick because I take good care of my teeth. They charged me $70 for the cleaning even though my dental insurance covers that cost. When I asked why, the answer was because I hadn't been in the office for a while, or something to that effect. I could understand if the cleaning took longer than expected, but that was not the case. The dental hygienist seemed surprised that I had a broken tooth even though I mentioned that was why I was making the appointment when I called. They set an appointment for January 6 and I called on the fifth to check the time we had set. They didn't have me on the schedule, but said they may be able to work me in and would call me back shortly. I had another appointment. I was waiting to set based on the time they would tell me to come in. Did not get a callback for two days. I've been a patient there since they opened but made an appointment with a local dentist instead.
