A very nice modern large hotel on the Aegean Sea, It is very close to Ephesus which is probably the most popular site in turkey. Our room was very nice with a couch and a desk. Decent size bathroom with just a shower which is fine. The dining room is huge with an enormous buffet. Unfortunately I think the Turks don't like hot food since most items were either lukewarm or cool. read more

We stayed here for two nights recently with a tour group. Immediately blown away by the gorgeous and expansive ocean views at every turn! Our room was nicely appointed, and especially appreciated a drying rack on our balcony. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts and dinners, but were put in a meeting room for meals, which was a let down. This was the only hotel where we had to pay extra for bottled water, which just seemed cheap! A bunch of us tried to swim in the indoor pool, but were kicked out as we didn't have bathing caps. The staff tried to sell us caps for 5 Euro, but we declined, as we'd never need nor want those ever again. Upon leaving I noticed quite a few people swimming without caps! Hmmmm??!! We enjoyed our swim in the ocean since the swimming pool was no longer an option. While we all enjoyed our stay at Charisma Deluxe Hotel, we all agreed we'd stay somewhere else on our next visit. read more

You can't make this stuff up. We've been here for two nights, our third night there was a private party outside whose music was so loud (with lots of bass) it shook the entire wing of rooms. It's almost like the speakers were turned toward the main hotel buildings. I love music, however, this loud is unnecessary. If I could post a video I know you'd agree. Phone calls to the desk to ask them to at least turn it down a little were blown off "it'll stop at midnight"... REALLY!? The management couldn't have cared less about the hundreds of guests (including families with young children) who had rooms. I won't be returning. read more

The hotel is approximately ten years old. Certainly modern looking and clean although you can start to see the wear and tear in the rooms (carpets, wall paper) Modern looking room with comfortable beds. The bathroom where the toilet and bath are located are tiny! Interestingly, there is a window with shutters between the toilet area and the actual bedroom! Bathroom could use a ventilation fan. Excellent location, only a five to ten minute walk from main part of town. Best part - amazing view of the Aegean Sea from room and most public areas in building. Stunning!!!! read more

Beautiful location on the Aegean. The staff was friendly and the hotel virtually empty during the winter season when I was there. There is an infinity pool but it is non-operational during the winter. No beach to speak of and during high tide or storms the waves pound the edges of the pool. The hotel has a spa on the premises and Turkish bath. Prices are negotiable (as in all of Turkey). A full hour and a half of scrubbing and massaging came to about $80 US, but that price probably could have been driven lower. Though I didn't partake of the spa and treatment, those I know who did use it ranged from "so-so" to "pretty good." Enthusiasm was generally lacking. The view from the room was spectacular, even during (or maybe because of) a winter thunderstorm. My room was large, the decor modern and well-appointed. Plenty of free bathroom goodies, including a sewing kit and more. The bed comfortable and the carpet clean. A door leads to a nice size balcony, perfect for watching those storm clouds roll in. I would imagine in summer this would be just a perfect. The only drawback of the room was the window placed in the bathroom. This seems some sort of European/Turkish habit. While it is romantic to lay in the tub and be able to look out into the bedroom/balcony and get a nice view of the sea beyond, it does give the toilet a "privacy issue." There were blinds provided but they never really obscured the bedroom/bathroom experience. This may just be me and "boundaries." The only real drawback of the hotel for me was the buffet food provided for breakfast and dinner. Though both were large in scale, the food was definitely not up to par. It usually bordered somewhere between bland/tasteless or downright sad. Fortunately there are plenty of restaurants just across the street to choose from. My advice is to make that walk. read more

AMAZING!! everything about this hotel was amazing. When you step into the lobby you can see the ocean almost underneath you - it felt like we were on a cruise! Our room had a balcony and you could see the formations under the clear Agean. The 'infinity' pool is right along side the ocean, so we went in both, back and forth. Like many 'beaches' in Turkey (and a lot of europe) there is no sand or waves. Here they just had ladders to drop you in the water -but it as amazing nonethe less. There were chaise lounges and umbrellas right there to lounge. There was a tiny and claustrophobic indoor pool, but of course, no one was using that - why would you?! We ate breakfast and dinner outside overlooking the water. Amazing! The food was very good, especially breakfast. I was not bowled over by Turkish food in general, a little bland and sauceless for me, but this was as good as any. The location of the Charisma is great. A few minutes walk and you are on the 'main drag' of stores and boardwalk that skirts the beach. It is a nice crescent with amazing sunset views - lots of people walking arm and arm enjoying the esplanade, playgrounds, shoppes and restaurants. so glad we were here for 2 days! The room was immaculate! There is a window from the bathroom/tub to the bedroom i suppose so one can see the ocean while showering or doing one's 'business' - interesting (but there is a Venecian blind to close it if needed). We slept with the sliding door wide open (NOTE: the air conditioner only works when the door is closed - it has a trigger, energy savings!) to listen to the ocean all night. The staff was friendly and helpful, our waiter was very talkative and charming (and handsome). I wish i couldve stayed here much longer, but we were with a tour and the rest of turkey awaited us. Though, this was, for all the reasons mentioned above (location, pools, the sea, eating al freso), our balcony, etc... by far the most memorable! read more

Good hotel with beach access a 20 minute walk from Kusadasi center. We felt it needed repair: our carpet was quite stained, the electronic safe did not work and one of the elevators always seemed inoperative. Our room was quite large but the bath was exceptionally small. This was the only hotel on our two week tour that did not provide complimentary drinking water. In fact there was a lobby sign stating that if we brought in food or beverage they would charge for it at minibar rates! The Wifi was included but was slow and frequently disconnected. The included breakfast and dinner buffets were less extensive and lower quality than most others we experienced in Turkey. However, the view from our room of the Agean was magnificent. read more
