After years, meanwhile frustrated at the lack of quality of the material and also, working conditions of the ever friendly(!) staff behind the counters:
They cannot even take a proper break to go to the toilet which is a reason why I started to doubt the whole fair trade and family friendly image; my last visit to one of their shops is memorable for witnessing a woman abusing her little child, but since she was keen on buying the most expensive dress, it obviously was expected to do business with her nevertheless
The saleswomen are under a lot of pressure to sell, sell, sellunder whatever circumstances
The last dresses and shirts I bought were in shreds after a few weeks, and they sure were not worth the money.
It is a great disappointment to see an originally good idea and nice design go down the drain after 14 years.
Of course I am still wearing the old stuff by Chapati, from the earlier days of the brand, when they still had to prove something and were more careful about their image and their potential customers
