My installation was extremely easy because they remove the old fence and poles and set everything in place from scratch. My neighbors have flowerbeds on it either side of me and the work was completed without damaging their beds. I never hired him to come back and stain my fence. So I reached out to Rusty right away and asked if staining my fence was included with the installation and he said that it wasn't. He was so unprofessional how he handled the situation of our fence. His next response to me was i figured since your neighbor was having it done that you would want it done. It turned out my neighbor had hired him to come back and have his fence stained. His workers accidentally went to my house and started staining my fence instead of my neighbors. Instead of apologizing for this mistake, he responded to me with "you have deep pockets," and "this is a drop in the bucket for you". He clearly knew his workers went to my house accidentally and instead of being honest with me about it he just assumed I was ok with it. I understand things happen. But be honest! Had he just been honest with me I would of still paid him not full price because honestly I wasn't ready to spend this money right now. And to make matters worse, his workers left, and now my fence is half stained!!! You tell me how that's good business. Taking advantage of people and assuming that it will be ok because, in his words, "I have deep pockets." You should be making it right and finishing the job and no cost at this point. I reached out again and asked when he was coming back out to finish and his response was when he came up with a comfortable price for me. What does that even mean! It has been about 4 weeks now and I still haven't heard back from him. So disappointed and very upset!

He has till yet to (i) paint the front yard fence and (ii) install and paint the front porch railing. Since June, he has told us several times he's arrive on certain days to complete the work (at which my wife and I would rearrange our schedules in anticipation of his arrival). He never showed up. He has now ghosted us. A review of the Foxbank Community page shows that he has a history of ghosting people without completing the work he agreed to. He currently owes us $1025 in remaining work. In addition, when I first selected him, he assured me that a mess would not be left at the job site. Currently, there is a approximately hundreds of pounds of wood and food litter behind the homes of the families he's built fences for. The abandoned pile of wood right next to your privacy fence has the potential to attract termite swarms, rats, snakes, etc. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but with the month of October drawing near, more of the same to take place. Do your research, read ALL the reviews (good and bad), note: his Facebook page only has good reviews, ask your neighbors who they used, be specific in what your expecting and get it in writing! This company is not the cheapest or most expensive, however be cautious as they will trash you publicly if you complain or warn others of your experience. I have reached out "privately" to neighbors who asked for recommendations and told them of my experience and to due their research. OH, and left a few sad face emoji's on posts. The reason for my recommendation/review and why I must explain: Billy Walker, owner of Stone Castle Fence has publicly called me (and several others) out stating (by posting on Facebook) he has "blocked all of my salty customers because they complain about very irrelevant things that happen during or after installs that we cannot control". He also posted that I, " was difficult as they come with making me swap out pickets with knots in them and wanted all dirt picked up after we raked it out". Yes, I did ask him to replace warped, cracked, and the boards that had holes in them due to knots missing. After all I was paying for a "new" fence. In the past 7 months I've have had to replace several boards for rot and damage caused by pour quality wood. I also asked him to remove the dirt that his crew dug up and left in piles around my yard. I have a white dog and asked that it be removed prior to them spreading it. Billy assured me the dirt would be "removed" not spread all over my yard causing a mud pit. Along with these discrepancies I had to have them fix the nails that were sticking out so my dog and grand-kids would not get hurt. Last of all he needed to recut the fencing in several areas to make it straight as it was rubbing against the house siding and the gates were not straight. All discrepancies were done during install, and when pointed out he blamed his crew. As you can see these discrepancies were within their "control" and was a direct reflection of his company and quality work performed. I do hope he has since learned a little more about being a professional and doing a quality job.

I contacted Charleston Fence for a quote on replacing 3 of the four sides of my yard fence. Andy came out quickly and efficiently provided a quote via email and text. I had already requested permission from my HOA, but had I not, Andy and / or his team would've helped me with that process. The HOA took a full 30 days for a response, but again, that's for another review. We reviewed the quote and I provided Andy with a 50% down payment. Once we got the approval, Andy was able to give me a time when my fence would be replaced. As promised, they showed up on Thursday of last week to tear down the old fence and set the posts for the new one. Cleanup was superb, and even my neighbors commented on how great it looked after only the fence was taken down. The next day, they came in and put up on the new fence, and they were done about halfway through the day. The fence looks great. I'm really proud to have a Charleston Fence, and the neighbors all seem to love it too. Would be happy to recommend them to anyone looking for a new fence.

Followed the slope of the yard and made things as aesthetic and level as possible and did a good job of making thinks tight and avoided gaps. I think it is easier to make a metal fence look good since there is little variation compared with wood. The price was within the average of the 5 or 6 places I asked for quotes (aluminum fences are not cheap) and they didn't low-ball and raise their price by a large percentage. One thing I liked, they wanted to be sure the HOA and city regulations and permits were met which made me feel they were professionals and not apt to cut corners. They asked for the material costs upfront (check is fine) and then the residual at completion.

Not a client, but they built a privacy fence for my backyard neighbor. Things started out bad when…read morethey tried to tell me that they needed to take down my existing fence for a week to build the new one. After agreeing to set the new posts before taking my fence down, they cut a 2'x4' hole in my fence & didn't tell me, allowing my dogs to escape. We waited a day for them to fix it, but finally boarded it up ourselves. Then the dogs found a 2nd hold on the other end of the fence & escaped again. In all, our fence was nonfunctional for about a week. The new fence has gaps around trees & around where they simply cut the old fence posts down instead of removing them. They left old fence poles in our yard & rolls of fence. They also built the fence right on top of one of my large plants. Just not a conscientious or efficient company.
