One of two foodie adventures I actually had on this last visit of SF. And it was pretty eye opening. This place reminds me of the restaurants in Silverlake, Los Angeles. Trendy/hipsterish vibe in a somewhat sketchy looking neighborhood. Prices are definitely spendy for what you get. But the food and concept is brilliant. My favorite dish was the one I had ordered, the soft scrambled eggs with peas and szechuan style chili oil. What I was expecting was a ginormous scramble egg(it was $12), and a bit of greens on the side. But this dis had a very small portion of eggs, maybe 3 eggs? But felt more like 2. A bit disappointed on the egg front. But it was soft, still a bit running, exactly what I wanted that morning. But what I loved about this dish was the peas, mushroom, and other greens. It was perfectly seasoned, fresh, sweet, and just overall surprisingly delicious. The Szechuan style chili was unnecessary, but I think they had a theme going on, soooo sure why not. If you used the chili oil/sauce, it's not bad either. Try it out for yourself. It's very szechuan. Among all the other dishes my party ordered were the Hangover hash(love the name), and the pork belly entree. ++The hangover hash had the most amazing presentation, and the most disappointing small piece of pastrami ever. But it was so tender, so fatty and rich, and SO GOOD. I just want a plate full of that please. +The pork belly entree had very nice presentation as well. This had a Korean theme going on. Since it's served with gochujang, it's automatically Korean. And we did have a Korean at our table, he dared to say it was the best thing he's ever eaten. Not sure if he is exaggerating, but I thought it was not bad. Those were among the most memorable dishes I tried. Not sure if I would order the souffle pancake Marcus ordered, thought it was kinda pricey and I would much rather just have a souffle or just pancake. But that's just me. Oh yeah, $14 bottomless mimosas! Our server was very good about topping us off. That's always awesome. I had quite a good experience here. Not a regular in the neighborhood and took some convincing to get hubby out here...only because it was still early and the sun was still out. Got parking right outside and walked in through the backdoor. Appear to a private event but it was only for half of the place. We walked toward to the front and got the chaise seats across from the fireplace - quite comfy. Our waiter, Pablo, was nice and helpful. Cocktails were $10 each. No drafts, all bottles so hubby opted on cocktails too. Hubby started with #9 whiskey drink - old overholt rye, benedictine, araku, peychauds bitter. It tasted mostly like whiskey - served martini style. #2 bramble - tanqueray, lemon, sugar, leopolds blackberry, mint. Hubby liked this better. I started with #8 pisco punch - pisco, lemon, lime, american honey liquer, pineaple juice, galliano - it was ok. #7 - cusco, aged brugal rum, lime, ginger beer, cinnamon bitters. Tasted mostly ginger beer. Shared some small plates: smoking salmon - $14 - salmon caviar, yuzu sake crème fraiche, chive oil. smoked salmon rolled above a mini grill w/ smoke for flavor only. It was more fun to look than to eat. sea salad - $13 - hirame sashimi, cucumber, seaweed, radicchio, daikon, popcorn shoots, smoky vin, puffed rice. Not bad. sizzling kobe tri-tip - $14 - summer vegetable salad, mushroom brandy reduction. SUPER yummy. If you like your beef medium rare, remove the tri-tip for the hot stone right away...or you'll end up with medium or well steak. Sauce is good but skip it and enjoy the essence of good beef. Love the ambiance. The fireplace was a nice touch. Very cool and interesting light fixtures. The albums decor is great - sure take you back seeing some of the covers. I have never been here before, but then when I arrived, I realized that I had been in this area before. I had no idea that THIS was the Tenderloin ... one of the most raved about Viet sandwich places is just around the corner. Anyway, having ... experienced this place during the day, it was no surprise that I found myself far more outmatched by the sheer amount of random people stopping me on the street at night and hearing the words "Drugs" over and over again when passing other peoples' conversations. I don't know how people dress and doll up to come here because I was feeling mucho overdressed. However, once inside, it was a nice, warm atmosphere that greeted me at Chambers. The staff was friendly enough and we moved ourselves back to the lounge area because our dinner guests were still dining. The lounge has a nice sign that says "be amazing". There was an outdoor area with pool, etc. but for some reason it was closed later on at night when it became unbearably warm inside the lounge. Overall, anytime after 12:00am this place is a cluster, you will wait at least 25+ minutes to try to get the attention of a bartender to get a drink because they're so busy and it's almost impossible to get through. But before that ... it was nice. Come early or prepare to be very, very aggressive! read more

Great place for brunch! Apparently not many people know cause it was super uncrowded. And they take reservations, so if you had a big party, that could totally be a thing. Yes. Outdoor seating. It's actually at the Phoenix hotel, and they have seating out by their pool - which I thought was neat. Inside had a very hipster/retro feel with records and couches and lounginess. Coffee was the most disappointing part. They only do French press and a small ($6 - kinda pricey) is supposed to do 3 cups (small cups, like 6 oz), but ours only poured 2. We complained and they brought us another right away at no charge, but still. Also, I just really feel like bottomless coffee should be a part of brunch. It tasted ok, but not amazing. Got the chambers mimosa which was quite nice - plenty of champagne as it should be. No bottomless, but really, that's ok. Full bar, so you should be able to find something for you. The food was awesome. All four of us were really happy. I got the Eggs Royale, and the hollandaise was really good. I am a major hollandaise snob and it takes a lot to impress me and this did. Really perfect balance of lemon and spice. Spot on consistency. The smoked trout was super tasty too. The eggs were also super good. The only thing I wasn't wild about was that it was all on top of hash browns. It just didn't quite compliment. Would have been better on sourdough toast. My husband enjoyed the Poke bowl. He said it tasted like poke. :) Friend got the Pork Belly and very much enjoyed it. The potatoes that came with that were super flavorful - definitely winners. Cousin got the Burger which was quite good too. The shiitake mushroom relish on it was super well done and really brought the whole thing together. Meat was well cooked. Good portions. Besides the somewhat hidden location inside Phoenix Hotel, the amazing (and very reasonably priced) brunch mostly remains a secret: fancy-pants brunch in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, plus there is no wait--a great find in a city where a $20 brunch with a 45 minute wait is considered a normal weekend routine. [THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS BY DAY] The menu is fairly extensive and features creative variations on brunch food in which they take everything a step further. There are no pancakes, French toast, or scrambled eggs; only souffle pancakes, spiced French toast, and soft scrambled eggs. Some items add a fusiony spin, incorporating diverse flavors such as Spanish (tortilla omelette), Filipino (loco moco), Korean (gochujang), even San Franciscan (red quinoa). My friends & I decided to host a bridal shower here for our friend that didn't want the typical tea party type shower. Although, Chambers is located in the Tenderlion it truly is a hidden gem. I recommend valet parking at the Cova Hotel for $3/hr as it is only half a block away and better than worrying about metered parking. For our large brunch party they provided us with a family style menu for $25/per head. Everything we ordered was delicious!!! Spiced French Toast Pork Lion Red Quinoa Salad Coffee Cake Chicken maple sausage Fruit Cup We were placed in an enclosed area of the patio with heating lamps provided. The patio is located adjacent to the Phoenix hotel that has a cool retro style which was a great backdrop for photos. Overall, Chambers was was cool, hip & trendy! I was really disappointed with the food and drinks. I started off with the kumquat cocktail which was not well mixed and very bitter although described as sweet by the bartender. For apps- we got the dates which were really great. I got the pigs in a blanket (bar bite) for dinner and it was disgusting. There was a hair in my food and it was cold. Lucky me didn't find the hair until I had eaten two pieces. I complained to the waiter and nothing was done. We were charged for everything despite my complaint. I came here for drinks maybe twice and enjoyed the ambiance since they have a quirky but refined decor. It's a nice place to just sit, chill, and have a drink or two. When I ate here, the service was really slow because they were backed up that night. The waitresses apologized for the delays, so I couldn't really be mad at them. The food was decent, but I'd probably just come here for just drinks next time. Boyfriend and I shared a shrimp bisque, spaghetti squash, and Chambers burger with pork belly. Chambers is just that! It's like a hidden chamber in the middle of a mansion! You would never know that a restaurant/bar was this amazing on the inside, by walking outside of it. My girlfriend and I were trying to kill some time, so we decided to yelp some bar locations. Long behold, on our way back from checking out a closed bar, we opened a door to a magnificent place. As soon as we stepped our feet inside, you see a wonderful array of records which immediately brought me back to my childhood because my father was a DJ. Once you completely immerse yourself inside of Chambers you seem to forget where you actually are, and I love places like this that make you feel as if you're somewhere sacred. The bar is conveniently located, and the kid that served us was extremely friendly. From the contemporary seats to the massive collection of records, I wish that we could have stayed longer. The visit here was definitely short lived, however I will definitely recommend Chambers to any friends/family visiting the San Fran area! Good job! read more

I absolutely love Chambers - it's trendy, modern, has great hand crafted cocktails and is filled with fabulous waiters. So why the three star rating then? The food. Now don't get me wrong, I actually enjoyed a lot of the appetizers and entrees that we ordered and yes we ordered 6 appetizers, 2 entrees and 2 desserts for the two of us. That's actually precisely my problem with the place - it's perfect for a happy hour/ post-dinner drinks & apps type of spot, but not for a legitimate sit-down dinner. The portions are simply too small, even by fine dining standards. It's definitely fun to sample all the apps and perhaps an entree or two along with well crafted cocktails and a fabulous group of friends. But I need more from a traditional dinner. I want to be able to order 1 appetizer, 1 entree and 1 dessert and feel more than content. Chambers just doesn't cut it. Having said that, however, here's what I recommend - truffle dip, smoked grit fries and the pork belly. I enjoyed the appetizers much more than the entrees. So I'd recommend coming to Chambers for a light dinner filled with sampling all the appetizers and drinks or a post-dinner drinking venue, definitely not a traditional coursed dinner. read more

Whoa, so spotty on the outside, but a pleasant and cool surprise on the inside! This was a great find for brunch when we couldn't get into the Creole place (you know which one). We were seated right away as there was no wait shortly after Chambers opened. There is definitely a pretentious hipster vibe going on, but the food is amazing so I can't hate too much. To start, the 4 of us split an order of biscuits and gravy--I typically hate this dish and the appearance of it would make me cringe, but Chambers made an amazing rendition. They added Japanese togarashi spice to their enormous, homemade, fluffy biscuits as well as to the meaty and creamy gravy. Why this is considered a SIDE item confuses me, as I would definitely eat this with some fruit and their French pressed coffee for a satisfying mid morning meal. I was in the mood for a bit of a breakfast hodgepodge so I ordered a plate of fresh fruit, a side of challah bread with homemade guava compote served in a cute little mason jar (which they put in my to go box afterward), and chicken maple sausage. I ordered way too much food -- I could have shared those things amongst 3 people and we all would have been plenty full as each side was HUGE. As for my friends, they ordered the pork belly, the hangover hash, and eggs in a hole. Each plate was, again, ginormous as well as beautifully presented. This place is swanky and a lovely spot in the TL. It's a little uphill and a couple blocks away from the real crackhead action (but still close). Nice dim lighting, bartenders are awesome (especially Scotty!), and there are 2 bars. This place is the definition of MEH. I have definitely experienced better food. You definitely pay for the atmosphere and nothing more. First of all, it's in the most ghetto/ sketch area ever. And it is definitely over priced. Their menu is pretty tiny and doesn't have much of a variety. I ordered their burger with pork belly, as suggested by the top reviews on yelp. But in my opinion, it was wayyy too salty and I couldn't really taste the pork belly either -- AND trust me, I love pork belly and know what it tastes like. THE ONLY thing worth mentioning/raving about is the whole design of the place. It is really beautiful, I was stunned while walking in (because the outside is so ghetto... man... LOL) and they have that "BE AMAZING" sign which I think is breath taking. SOOO, at the end of the day, the food here is whatever and the drinks are over priced. Appetizers you must try: Sizzling tri tip: Thinking about this appetizer is making my mouth watery. Pieces of small, rare tri tip is placed on a sizzling stone and bought to your table while it's still cooking. Just flip each piece over once and you get a rare to medium piece that's still bursting with flavor. Meat lovers orgasm in every bite. Truffle chips: The chips tasted like ones you'd get off a bag of Lay's, but it actually went really well with the truffle dip. There are chunks of mushroom in there, so don't be surprised when you taste something chunky. Chicken pate: I didn't think I'd like this dish because I normally like other kinds of pate, but it was VERY tasty. The pate was almost like butter and you spread it over a buttered, garlic crostini. Been here for three separate occasions: once for drinks, once for brunch, and once for dinner. Don't let the exterior or the choice location (heart of the loins) dissuade you. This place is pretty good and deserves your attention. The drinks are strong and delicious (favorite is Alive) and the food is good in general. Just don't get the pork belly - one person in our group ordered it pork belly and it was overcooked to the point that it was difficult to cut. I made a reservation here for my birthday brunch about 2 weeks in advance, I was very excited as there were so many great yelp reviews! First of all, make sure you know they do not have bottomless mimosas on Saturday which I think is ridiculous but sure...understandable. Because I made a reservation, I had hoped we would be seated inside (it is December) but we were seated outside in the very corner! There are heaters but the feel was not what I was hoping for. The service was VERY slow, it took about an hour for the food to arrive. I was extremely disappointed with the food and so were my friends. They placed a lot if emphasis on the presentation rather than the actual taste. Chrissy went above and beyond making everything perfect . They started out our apps in the bar room , then to the balcony for the dinner and cake. Everything was so romantic and beautiful . The price was so cheap compared to what most people would spend on their receptions . The ambiance of chambers was a dream for my reception , and the food and service is amazing . Hidden from the ghetto of Little Saigon, Chambers Eat + Drink is a surprise for many first unsuspecting first comers to the wonders of trendy food and drinks in the heart of the Tenderloin. It is not a guaranteed known spot, even for some of the most seasoned visitors / locals in the hood. The most important thing is this place is worth a visit for all sorts of occasions. Inside the place is dimly lit, intimate, and a perfect spot for a casual date. It's comfy, lounge worthy, and versatile enough to serve as a place to quench one's alcoholic thirst or satisfy some hunger pangs. It is far cry from anything else remotely close in the hood and like eyes that can finally see light, it does take a blink or two to adjust in here. Once acclimated, there is almost always a sexy vibe in here. I've done more happy hours at CE+D and their signature ($10) cocktails are killer. The Pisco Punch seems to be pretty popular. I love Pisco as it is, but when combined with a little lime, lemon, and honey liquer, this drink becomes its own little glass of epic. Cinnamon bitters, ginger beer, lime and rum make up my other favorite, the Cusco, which is sweet and incredibly potent. Their drink menu is enough for all palates, but is most importantly well made. The dinner options are pricey, but that's to be expected at a place like this. While I'm a fan of the bar bites (truffle dip and chicken liver pate anyone?), the rest of the menu is a collection of small plates and entrees. Out of the "big bites" I am a fan of the pancetta wrapped chicken roulade, which is succulent and savory and roughly $19 in change. If one decides its tapa time, shoot for the crab croquettes ($12) and smoking hamachi ($15). While many folks are intrigued with the foie gras torchon ($14) and and kobe beef tips ($14), I find them to be semi-pricey relative to portion size. In the end, Chambers Eat + Drink is a really solid venue featuring a wide array of drinks and bites, and the perfect place for a group mingle session or a cuddle worthy date. And being situated in the Tenderloin gives it the kind of charm that many establishments in SF simply don't have. read more

This review is only for the drinks! My friend suggested we get some drinks while waiting for brunch at Brenda's since there were at least 10 parties signed on the list ahead of us. This bar was conveniently within walking distance around the corner from Brenda's! We didn't want to spoil our appetite so we decided we would just order drinks. The host asked if we had a reservation when we walked in. It didn't look too busy, but you may want to make one if you plan to eat there. We told the host we were just there for drinks. He told us we could order at the bar and then take it out to the cabanas by the pool. WHAT?! I thought I heard wrong too, but no, they really have a POOL in the back!! The inside of Chambers is pretty big and has very cute, hip décor. I wanted to get bottomless mimosas for $14, but you had to order an entrée to get the $14 deal. I ordered the Chambers Mimosa instead which was a mix of citrus, cucumber, and chartreuse - YUM!! I also had the Skeleton Key (bourbon, elderflower liquor, lemon, ginger syrup, and peychaud's bitters) - also YUM!! Both cocktails were tasty and a unique mix! The bartenders were friendly and attentive, but the service for the food seemed slow. My friend ordered a side of sausage (3 links) that seemed to take 20-30 minutes to arrive. I arrived promptly at 8:00pm and sat and waited...15 minutes roll by and he didn't show up. F*ck. Anyway, showing up late is no Bueno in my book but I didn't want that to ruin my night so I decided to stay. 5 minutes later, I was about to order then he shows up. Double F*ck. Alright, save the excuses, let's get a drink and eat. -Pork Belly- presentation, amazing. Pork belly, melt in your mouth yumminess with equal parts fat and pork -Grit Fries- Anything "fries" is good. I find it odd that there was only 3 pieces; make it four and call in even -Tri Tip- the meat was laid on a hot stone cooked to your liking. This is a 3 & 1/2 star rating. We came here and had a reservation. We were told our table wasn't ready, so we went to have drinks in the back. 50 minutes later we were finally seated! Even though we had a reservation. We were not impressed. We were offered free champagne so that was nice. Nothing stands out to me more than the Pork Belly off the Small Plate menu. The presentation of this dish was very unique. (note my picture) Make sure you take a bite of the meat with the pickled vegetables on the side. Such a great combination of flavors. The decor is really cool inside. Old vinyl & fun settees make the dining experience one of a kind. Well well well! After dining at Chambers, I now officially feel like a local - this is a true diamond in the rough. Not a lot of hype yet, but I can feel it brewing. Your friends haven't heard of it either, so go now so you can claim to be one of the discoverers (like I'm about to do)! I found it on Yelp when looking for a place to eat that was equidistant from my house in Hayes Valley and my friend's hotel downtime. There really isn't a whole lot in that space (it's essentially one giant stretch of quasi-ghetto), so that's really the only reason we picked it. As you traipse through sketchville, you'll stumble upon "The Phoenix" hotel which looks like the kind of old school motel where a Jack Kerouac character would wake up post-acid trip. Chambers is not particularly well marked, and the large, heavy door doesn't convince you that you've found a safe haven. HOWEVER - it's awesome in there. I still don't really get how they did it, but it's like swanky vintage. Mismatched couch benches, and shelves full of old records, paired with fancy chandeliers. And the food! This is serious food - we got the marble potatoes (with almonds, snap peas, etc), and then some kind of spring vegetable salad to start, followed by seared tuna. Dessert was a beet + goat cheesecake. Cooked and prepared to perfection, and so pretty I was inspired to start taking pictures to accompany my yelp reviews for the first time. I got home and my roommate told me he went to a birthday party there the previous night when it was in bar-mode. The food was amazing. We really enjoyed our meals. The retro atmosphere was fun, lots of attention to details in the place. We sat outside in the courtyard which was very pleasant. The neighborhood is sketchy but the place itself is fabulous. The place also seems to be a motel with a pool. Looks like it would be a fun places to stay. read more

Chamber's wasn't has fun and great as it used to be. WARNING: They do not do bottomless mimosas anymore and you would have to buy "bottle service" which is 40/per bottle. The food is still good but the atmosphere is a little different and it's in the TL. Not sure if this would be my go-to spot anymore but don't get me wrong the food is still pretty good. read more

This review is for reserving a table at the lounge. I had an amazing birthday party at Chambers because of my fantastic friends, not because of the venue. I made arrangements with Malik, the now previous event manager, who was absolutely fantastic! He answered all my emails promptly, and sent me all the menus and price lists. His replacement Isabel was fine, but I think things got lost in translation during the transition process. To reserve a semi-exclusive area at the Chambers Lounge, you have to put a minimum of $300 (pre-tax with additional tip) on one credit card, which they keep on file to reserve your spot. This is the card used for all transactions. FOOD - 1-Star Isabel was awesome enough to tell me that I could avoid a cake cutting fee if I brought cupcakes, which I did. But I also requested a comp'd dessert that they could bring out with a candle, which NEVER ARRIVED! My good friend had to request a candle to put on one of the cupcakes I brought myself. I also ordered chips and dip as a basic snack to have around in case my guest got hungry, which they were super timid to eat because they were located on a table that was really far from where we were sitting. Essentially I purchased a family-sized bag of Lays potato chips and a gigantic bowl of dip for $40!! I was told this was truffle dip, but it tasted like ranch. Do not waste your money on this. You will feel like an idiot. SERVICE - 1-Star for the Server / 4-Stars for the Bartenders When I arrived at the venue, the server was there to greet me. She was very friendly and lovely enough to help me setup the cupcakes and show me the menu. Unfortunately, my guest trickled in for about an hour/hour and a half after I arrived, and she was missing for the majority of the night. Many of my guest didn't know we had a server, which I was upset to hear from them. Not one, not two, but several people told me the next day. I was not about to play babysitter at my own party for a server getting a guaranteed 20% tip. I distinctly told her that she was free to charge my card whenever friends ordered drinks. I was distraught to hear that she didn't take a single order. Since most of my friends ordered from the terrific bartenders, I emailed the manager to complain. I even asked her if the gratuity I paid could go to the bartenders. She gave me an excuse saying that I needed to be present for all transactions since it was my card. Why on Earth is it necessary to approve each of my 20 guests transactions when I pre-approved this on the phone and then in person? She completely avoided the topic of the bartenders, which tells me that they didn't get a dime. I even asked her to look at my tab to see how many drinks were placed by the server versus the bartenders, and she never got back to me. Table - 3-Stars Since there are only 3 semi-exclusive areas and I was the last to reserve, I probably got the worst of the bunch. I got 3 small tables near the restaurant, away from the main lounge space. This was farthest from the music, which might have been a blessing in disguise to facilitate more conversations. We were given another table that was placed against the wall, probably 8 feet from our table to hold food and balloons. Pros included privacy during the beginning of the night and being closer in access to the beautiful courtyard. However, as the lounge filled up, way too many people were passing our area and trying to snatch food from our table. Overall, I would not recommend reserving a table at Chambers. Nobody should have to deal with terrible service like this. I've been to the lounge many many times before, so I had high expectations. Okay, I'm not going to lie - the main reason I wanted to go here because I saw the cute "Be Amazing" pics of the bar and totally knew I would love this place! haha! We went for dinner on Saturday night - what an amazing place! To be honest, I was kinda scurd as we all know the Tenderloin isn't the safest of places, but oh well, you just have to walk a litttttle bit faster. Once we walked in, I was pretty impressed - the place was SO COOL - decor was right up my alley! People were totally enjoying themselves - some there for drinks at the bar, others were enjoying din din. They have 2 bars and the bartenders were super attentive and quick to take your order - which is always a plus. And to top it off, the ambiance was seriously amazing! We had ressos for 9:30am, we arrived a tad early and the adorable host told us that he'd see if he could get us seated earlier. We decided to head over to the bar and get some drinks while we waited. As soon as we ordered, he showed up to let us know our table was ready. We were seated in one of the booths and the backdrop was amazing!! Our waitress was really sweet and gave great suggestions. The only downfall was the service (of actually getting our food to the table) was soooooo SLOW. Maybe the fact that I was starving made everything seem like it was in slow-mo! But, oh well, with a place as cute as this, I didn't mind too much...I did have my glass of wine, which made the wait bearable. We ended up starting off with the Smoked Grit Fries with Tomato Aioli which tasted like jumbo, fancy tots. They were pretty freaking good. We also had the Chamber's Burger and the Zabuton Steak - both were yummy and worth the wait! After dinner we lounged around by the bar and also outside by the fire and pool. Good times! One word...........AMAZING! This has to be my new favorite place, like FAVE FAVE FAVE! Good food, good drinks, and super duper awesome decor. I love the rock and roll theme, and I also enjoyed the music playing at the background. It's hard to find Chambers, but when you enter... it's like you're in a whole new world. I was hanging out at the lounge, and I had mostly small bites. Everything I tried was really good... from the smoked salmon, pblt, pork croquet, soup, marble potato, to beet salad. My favorite has to be the pork croquet. I also loved smoked salmon, cause it tastes so fresh! The presentation is beautiful. For me, presentation makes the dish worth so much more! Lastly, service is beyond five star. I mean.... there is no word to describe how amazing it is. Isabel is one of the most amazing person I've ever met. I, however, wish to see more things in the menu. Hopefully it's gonna get better every visit. Can't wait to come back!! read more

Be Amazing. And while you're at it, have some amazing cocktails at Chambers Eat + Drink. This was the second year in a row where I came here for some holiday party and the service is always attentive and on-point. Among their signature cocktails, I like the "vodka drink" here which is essentially a basil gimlet I guess but they are tasty and deceivingly helpful for cocktail conversations. I also enjoyed the "bramble" - a Bombay Sapphire gin concoction with blackberries and mint. It is a refreshing cocktail that is well mixed and not too sweet at all. But the atmosphere is where Chambers excels. The poolside area is a nice place to chill if it's not too cold out. If it is, the "Be Amazing" room is a cosy space to have a drink at the bar or lounge on the sofas. After all, it's always a nice reminder to Be Amazing! Cheers to 2013. read more

Went here for brunch once, I probably wouldn't return for that purpose, but would try it for dinner or drinks. I really love the look of the place, and can see why people want to lounge here. I dined here with a part of 7 and the service was good. I did find it odd that at 2-3 of their brunch items were unavailable early on in the day, but who knows? I also don't love restaurants that don't allow for substitutions, because I remember not ordering my first choice because of one of the ingredients in the dishes. Simply superb brunch today. The staff were wonderful and very personable. The food was as close to perfect as one could hope for. Simple, yet elegant and fresh, well prepared and presented. This is such a lovely hidden gem that I almost want to give one star to keep people from coming here. But I can't do that. Besides, from what I have heard it is already quite well-known. I love the ambience of this place! The interior is retro meets modern decor. Service was amazing. The waitress had a really friendly aura and was very helpful with recommendations. Even though it was extremely busy, she didn't seem to forget us and came by occasionally to check up on our table. This place as 3 full bars (outside poolside, lounge area, and resturante area). Food: *Sizzling Kobe tri tip- The kobe trip tip came out on a sizzling stone! Its hands-on and you flip it around until you find it perfect. Very fun! Cool presentation! *Smoking hamachi- Also hands-on. It came out on a small fire-wood chip box. It was a really nice display and the hamachi sashimi pieces were thick and buttery soft. Love love love!! *Chamber burger- Burger was delish, but nothing spectacular. Maybe it was because i ordered it without the shaved avocados and/or crispy braised pork belly. Once done with dinner, you can walk over to the lounge area to enjoy the loud music, people watch, and take in a glass or two of wines. I really enjoyed it here and would totally come back! Came here for dinner when my cousin and her husband were about to head on their vacation. They were catching an orchestra show that night so this was decently close. We came here and it was a lot different inside than outside and in a good way. We got a good amount of food and tried a lot. Just the way I like it. Food:2.5/3 The food was really really good. We got the crab cake, the mixed green salad, the pork belly, the steak and the pate. All of it was really good. Why not the full 3? The steak wasn't consistent throughout. Parts of it were over cooked and some parts were cooked just right. Value: .5/1 Although the food was delicious, the price was kinda steep. For three people, it was about $120. That is the above and one beer. We had no leftovers which is why it gets the .5 instead of the 1. I don't mind paying the extra money if I think it's enough, but damn, this was kinda expensive. Atmosphere/service: .5/1 Hipster is the first word that comes to mind with records on the book cases and a dimly lit front room. It was nice. The service was pretty nice, but the reason why it doesn't get the full 1 is because it took forever for the food to come out. Didn't have too many people come by and check on us either. Recommend it? Yeah. I might even go there again. We'll see read more

I'm not sure what warrants what kind of service here. If the bartender is telling you that you can't order drinks off the menu and closes you because it's a "busy night" with 10 people at the bar, I would expect that to extend to other patrons. This was not the case. Not really good optics to treat LGBTQIA and BIPOC patrons like they're 1) unwanted and 2) not worth the effort of a "menu drink" while you see the bartender making elaborate drinks for everyone else who happen to be white. read more
