We've stopped by here a couple times on our way between Chicago and Door County, WI. The people who have been here have always been helpful, but the location is fantastic. A small building perched high over Lake Michigan, with a boardwalk around the outside, and a viewer to check out distant ships or land. We've also found this to be a great lunch break spot, sitting on the hill or benches to enjoy a beautiful and relaxing picnic. Definitely take the lake drive when heading North! It's prettier and more fun than the Green Bay route, and you can get some great information at this Chamber of Commerce! read more
