Raspberry white chocolate mocha goes perfectly with my new grips!
Shawnee S.

Love their cool grips and cold brew drips! I always find what I'm looking for, whether its a nice caffeine buzz, idle chat about bikes, or odds and ends for my bicycle. Their parts are reasonably priced and they do excellent custom work. Everyone is knowledgable and friendly, and I always leave with a smile! They have dog-friendly patio/outdoor seating areas and everyone was hygeine conscious/masked up! Their coffee shop has rotating holiday drinks (for the inner BASIC cyclist like myself) and lunch/breakfast items. Definitely will be returning, they're a hidden gem in industrial El Cajon!

Great price and excellent work. Took a while for them to do what they had to do. But I was in no rush. I suggest setting an appointment if you want work done as they can be backed up! But most people here are awesome! And they got a cafe too!

New Tazer pro.

Super friendly. I bought a ne Intense Tazer pro at another shop but needed some help setting up the suspension. The guys at chainline were able to help me out immediately and even stayed late( after closing) getting my new bike dialed in . I am very greatful and appreciative. I will be going there to get anything else I might need. Thanks again guys! I wish more business treated there customers like you all do!

New crankset installed on my Ibis
David C.

I needed a MTB crankset maintenance now!!! and Chainline Bikes was available for an immediate inspection and same day service. Ask for Joe. He was helpful over the phone and in person. He comes with a wealth of knowledge, expertise, honesty and great customer service. He provided me with various crankset options with an explanation to each option. I highly recommend Chainline Bikes for parts, service, merchandise, bikes and they have a café that connects to the store. Thank You Joe for the great immediate service, now I can enjoy some MTB trails tomorrow.

Super knowledgeable and friendly staff (Jason, Joe, chase, Matt and the rest) They Made a solid recommendations on a 2020 Kona process 134 and I love the bike. Before I bought the Kona I had a Giant Trance they did maintenance on it and I was really happy with the level of service they provide on all levels. They are super busy and good so there might some delay at times.

This is long overdue (1 year?) but I just want to acknowledge how incredibly knowledgeable and…read morehelpful the "older" man working in the shoe section was as I was trying to choose shoes for a long upcoming trek. Because of him and the cashiers working at the time (who helped me with a return and a discount coupon and were very patient) I am giving this location 5 stars. This was a second visit. I only came back to the store as I had a return. My first experience was miserable. The "younger" male at the shoe area was very unhelpful, part of why I ended up with the wrong type of shoes. What was more distressful for me, though, was how he treated a very elderly gentleman who had trouble walking and putting shoes on and off. It was obviously an effort for this veteran to get into the store from his car, much less to the back of the store. (BTW, he did not appear homeless/disheveled/dirty. The clerk was quite dismissive of this man who was obviously in very very poor physical shape. I ended up helping him try shoes on (the clerk disappeared), and made suggestions the clerk should've been making for shoes that were easier to put on and walk in. Anyway, the clerk didn't seem to care about his job or the customers. I don't recall any other noticeable interactions with other staff. I had planned a 1 star rating but never got around to it. Then, my next visit I met the older clerk/manager? who was attentive, helpful, patient and everything the first clerk wasn't. So that made up for it for me. HE would've been kind to the elderly gentleman. And the rest of the staff was lovely. So I decided on 4 stars. I just hope the district managers talk to staff about kindness to all, especially for those who need it most.

I picked up a couple of pairs of shoes from this Big 5 Sporting Goods store. One pair for walking…read moreand another for easy to moderate hiking trails. They had both in stock, so located them was quick and easy, not to mention having my size. Both pairs were very affordable. The young lady at the register was very cool and helpful. The store was very well stocked and organized. They offer a good amount of parking at this location and a very good selection of shoes.

I explained to Jeff and Jayden that the purchase was 3rd party. Initially the company refused to accept the return. Jeff and Jayden managed to find a way to make the bike rideable!! I went into Mission Trails Bike Shop today to get help replacing a tube on a fat tire bike. I…read morebrought both the tire and the tube, so all I needed was the labor. Their website lists a tire tube change at $10 for labor only, which seemed fair. As soon as I arrived, they started working on the tire and removed the tube. It took them about 10 minutes to do, using metal tire levers which I was trying to avoid at home so I would not damage the rim. But, professionals, right? I trusted what they were doing, and ultimately the rim looks fine. When it came time to pay, I was asked if I had cash. I did not, so I went to get some to support a small business. I came back with $40. That is when the gentleman saw the cash and hand and told me they "usually charge $40" for the service, even though the website says $10 and there were no prices posted in the shop. I can understand paying extra since it was a fat tire and a little more difficult, maybe even $20, but being charged $40 after they saw the cash in my hand felt shady. Perhaps it was my mistake not asking about the pricing upfront, but if you have pricing posted on your website, I would expect it to be in that ballpark. In the end, I paid four times the posted rate just for labor, despite supplying my own parts. I will not be returning to this shop and cannot recommend it to others.
