They have the 19th St and 20th St galleries in Chelsea, as well as a gallery on Walker Street and another on E 69th. We stopped by the gallery on W 19th to see "The Great Unseen Collection: A Selection of Works from Joel and Carole Bernstein," which was great and included works by Milton Avery, Romare Bearden, Audrey Flack, Alex Katz, and Alice Neel! (The exhibition closes on June 13 if you want to see it.) The gallery was on the smaller side but very minimalist, clean, and beautiful. (Across the street from 525 W 19th, is another David Zwirner gallery at 533 W 19th that has an exhibit of Lisa Yuskavage, so stop by that location as well if you're interested!) After our visit, I signed up for David Zwirner's email newsletter so I can keep up with future exhibits. The gallery's shows are museum-quality, and I look forward to visiting again in the future!

The reason the price was high because every single element of his Art makes people excited. Alexander Calder is the creator of the mobile, inspired by Piet Mondrian and Joan Miro. And the name 'mobile' given by Marcel Duchamp, very famous for the 'Fountain'. I was also very excited to see many art piece of Alexander Calder at once and never visited to buy and negotiate the price of the Art. My first time experience. The gallery manager was very kind and explained everything we wanted. I will come back as many as possible.

His son, Marc Glimcher, is now president and CEO. Pace Gallery operates in New York, London, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Geneva, Seoul, East Hampton, Tokyo, and Palm Beach. I believe this location on East 57 Street has been around since the 1960's. The gallery is closed on Sundays and Mondays. The building is historic and like all the galleries admission is free. I'm definitely returning when I'm in the neighborhood. I'm recommending you check on their website for the current exhibits. They may have your favorites artists on display.

The colors, the angles, the mood...the quality ... it is all amazing! When you dim the lights-the lighting and the colors of the photo changes... it's mind blowin' !!! This photographer does a lot of landscape shots- like national parks, New York, nature . I'm able to recognize the locations of the majority of the photography probably because I've been to all 50 states and have a thing for national parks and nature etc.... so that's probably why I am moved by it so much One shot was on the cover of Life ( a view from the north rim of the Grand Canyon- Inspiration Point I believe)... other beautiful shots include the Great Wall of china, antelope canyon, Hawaii, LA and of course New York. " Gotham" is my absolute favorite shot. I envision adorning it on one of my walls one day. If you're down to drop 3000,5000, 10,000- then you will own a lovely shot that I think is totally worth it

Nothing like i had ever seen before. The details, the colors, the size!!! Just Amazing. I could have spent the whole day there, just looking at his work. Gallery is a nice size, an they do a great job showcasing his work. I wish i could get a better grasp of how he actually works. There is a photograph of the night sky, with a tree in the middle of it that is great. Another favorite is the three panel photo of the empire state building, looking south. If you are in the area, or love photography, it is definitely worth a visit.

It being such a hot summer day, checking out the art at the Gagosian was a doubly great idea. My…read moreinitial thought was the Picasso exhibit at the location to the west of Central Park, but a friend told me about the Takashi Murakami Japonisme exhibit at the Gagosian which was near the Genesis House. Perfect! The Gagosian gallery area wasn't huge, but held a lot of pieces, both large and small. The staff encouraged me to not get too close, in order to protect the artwork, but I was still able to see the textures and to locate the little fun surprises hidden in the paintings. This was a great exhibit for even those who are not normally into art.

Featuring two exhibits when I visited, one entitled peep show and the other Pistoletto I must admit I was rather taken aback by the frankly graphic nature of Peep Show, though certainly not offended - but rather intrigued and quite impressed by the photography displayed at Pistoletto. All told the exhibit contained about 2/3 as much art as Neue and 1/4 as much as Guggenheim - and was $10 and $18 cheaper than each, respectively - and I enjoyed the James staff and approach much more. On par with any of the Chelsea Galleries and better than most - and free.

It is a smaller sized gallery so you can easily visit and admire the art with a short amount of time. Which I definitely recommend was a great place to get away from the large holiday crowds of 5th Avenue. There were a number of people working for the gallery who I assume could answer any questions you have about a specific piece. Not a clue on prices, but assume they are pricey. If you are a fan of art check this out!

The art studio is two levels, but apparently, in order to peruse the second level, you have to be "somebody" in this world -- meaning, affluence, influence, ya know....you better have that paper. I don't have that kind of paper, so my humble self stayed on the lower level lol. The selections were unique, some were comical, and simply fun to look at. The pieces are definitely pricey, but it was nice to see the art and dream of a mansion with expensive pieces adoring the walls.
