It's all been said already. We made the run from Grein for an overnight trip, easy peasy. Start by walking up to the castle gardens the long way and then the slight descent to the Castle, which is huge, your view over town will orientate you and you will see the bridge points that cross into the town basin. The castle is huge without going in. The bears in the moat will likely distress you, two live ones, could easily be replaced with statues, onwards tot he shops which are lovely, the cobbled streets and numerous food options.
Parking is around the city and easy. We parked in P3 for our circuit and it was also close to our crib.
This is a delightful town and henceforth will always be referred to as 'dear old Cesky Krumlov', of course there are lots of tourists so get up early or go out late. read more
