This is a small little shop in the ulferts plaza . It's to go only but there are some tables outside . I placed an order for the raspberry matcha which is a seasonal drink . There was a small line but the line moved quickly . They called my number in 10 min , the raspberry drink is made with fresh raspberry jam and matcha on top . Next time I will order double matcha if they have the option , the drink was tasty but personally not enough matcha for me . I like my drinks to have a super strong matcha flavor . I will definitely be back to try all of there other flavors !!
Got the strawberry matcha einspanner! Would prefer the matcha to be a bit more intense and bitter (to have more contrast when combined with the strawberry syrup), and maybe for the texture to be creamier? But overall it tastes good and would definitely come back to try other drinks. Service is friendly! Store doesn't have seating inside but plenty of benches on the outside.
Met up with friends to grab a bite, but first, matcha tea please Funny how everyone's into matcha now when I've been on it way before it started trending. I switched it up and tried a hojicha latte, while the others stuck with matcha and another hojicha with egg foam. Verdict: yummm. Slightly less caffeine, but honestly perfect to start the day. This little hole-in-the-wall spot in Milpitas is such a hidden gem if you're ever in the area, definitely check it out.
A nice aesthetic shop for matchas and drinks. I got a couple of the einspanners - banana pudding and strawberry. The banana pudding had actual pieces of banana bread/muffin in it and the strawberry used some freeze dried strawberries and syrup. They both were essentially milkshakes to me when mixed up so if you're looking for something heartier this would be it. It's not my preference since I like more subtle, balanced flavoring but overall my experience with online ordering and service was great. I'd try their tea matchas or regular next time! There are outdoor tables for the plaza that this is in. The parking lot can be pretty busy.
I came here specifically to try their Banana Pudding Matcha Einspänner, and I was not disappointed! $8.50 is a bit steep (and it will cost you $0.85 extra for alternative milks to whole milk), but as someone who loves Banana Pudding, I enjoyed it. A solid 4.5/5 stars. The matcha flavor was strong and at 75% sweet, it was not too sweet. The banana pudding on top was DELICIOUS. They give you a generous heap. I literally just ate it as a dessert on top. I wouldn't mix it together, since you'd get hella chunks of actual bread and Nila wafer in your matcha. It's not a seamless recipe because it's more of a Banana Pudding + Matcha Latte imo rather than a well-integrated beverage, but even after you eat the pudding, it leaves a nice banana flavor in your matcha.
I think it's innovative that they operate with just two workers and a self-serve kiosk. However, the line gets long because customers--myself included--don't always know what to order right away. It took me a while to go through the entire menu and figure out what they offered. I'd suggest putting a menu on the wall so people waiting in line can decide ahead of time. That way, when they reach the kiosk, the line moves faster. It's also a very small space, and it's a bit frustrating that they don't call out names when drinks are ready. Yes, you get a text, but in my case, I actually picked up my drink after noticing it sitting on the counter--then received the text more than five minutes later. So the notification system was definitely delayed. As for the drinks, I ordered the Banana Pudding Matcha Einspänner, and my husband got the raspberry matcha. I didn't taste much banana and felt like I was mostly drinking straight matcha, although my husband said he noticed a slight hint of it. That said, I was impressed with the quality--the matcha was very smooth.
3.5 stars I've tried a lot of matcha spots in the Bay Area & this is definitely one of the better spots -- a lot of places i've tried have grainy matcha but I didn't experience that here I ordered the earl grey matcha with 50% sweetness -- I think next time, I might try their strawberry matcha because the earl grey and matcha flavors didn't feel super cohesive to me (I think this has to do more with their natural flavor profiles and is not the fault of Cere). I've come to realize earl grey has its own tea flavor, and it tends to compete with the matcha tea flavor which is why they don't feel as complementary to each other -- but I also recognize this is personal preference The inside is a little small (there's no place to sit) but the workers here are very efficient and the line moved very quickly -- looking forward to trying the strawberry matcha next time
First time at this location. I've been to the saratoga location before to get the matcha einspanner and it was quite good. This location is more of a grab and go spot. There wasn't anyone in the store so it was fast ordering on the kiosk and the drink comes out in 5 minutes. First time trying the double matcha here and I really liked it! Creamy and not too sweet. Would come back again to try the other flavors :)
I love cere tea in Saratoga but never tried the location in Milpitas until Sunday. I got my go-to banana pudding matcha einspanner with 50% sweetness. The drink was $8.50 + tip... came out to be around $9.50. It is a bit pricier than other matcha locations. Anyways, the drink... I was highly disappointed. The drink tasted very milky. Couldnt really taste the matcha. And the banana pudding? Barely could taste it either. Even my friend agreed. The drink was extremely mid. Pretty disappointed. Just tasted like straight milk with a very tiny hint of banana.
I usually get disappointed by most places that serves matcha because it's not strong enough or the flavors don't blend well, but this is a really solid place for both matcha & hojicha lattes. The service is quite fast even when it's busy, pro tip- order ahead on your phone. It looks nice inside the shop but there's no seating area inside so if you wanted to stick around and hang out, there's plenty of seating outside. As for parking, it's a bit of a hassle because it's in a busy plaza so keep that in a mind. Today we got the sunny side up matcha (+1 extra shot of matcha), kokuto hojicha and also tried their new raspberry matcha which all are really good. The real chunks of raspberry blend super well together in the drink. I've also had their osmanthus matcha, hojicha einspänner, banana pudding matcha, earl grey matcha, matcha einspänner, strawberry matcha & all of them are extremely delicious and the right amount of sweetness at the standard level (if you don't like sweet you can adjust the percentage). Honestly haven't tried anything that i didn't like here. My top two are the banana & sunny side up! I like my matcha lattes to be strong so I opt for paying the additional $1 to make it earthier. Will keep coming here to get my caffeine fix!!
My sister and I felt like having matcha today so we decided to go back and give Cere Tea another try and I'm so glad we did! We got a Strawberry Matcha and Strawberry Matcha Einspanner and both were honestly delectable. I hope they keep up the same quality they had today. I have been told this location is pretty inconsistent and that is why I am giving them 4 stars and not 5 but today's drink was definitely 5 stars!

Consistent good quality matcha. I've tried a lot of their drinks and I enjoy most of them. My all time favorite are the earl grey matcha latte and osmanthus oolong matcha latte. Both have a strong tea taste, the osmanthus is a little more floral. Also enjoy the mango matcha latte and kokuto hojicha latte. Matcha einspanner and banana pudding lattes are also good but not my preferred way to consume matcha. read more
Drinks - I totally understand why the drinks are highly rated here! The mango tornado had tons of mango fruit and was delicious. My strawberry matcha was also beautifully made! I also now understand why some reviewers pointed out their matcha drinks taste diluted; I had a similar experience so strongly suggest folks get the upgrade for extra matcha shot. They kindly added more matcha to my drink when I asked after first taste was too mild for me. Their whole milk was delivered while I was waiting and I noted they use Walmart Great Value milk! I was concerned about the quality of my drinks since Straus milk is much creamier but actually they turned out fine. Service - it's well staffed and drinks were promptly made! Ambiance - honestly the store was way too loud for my middle aged ears. I had to resist the urge to turn down the loud music; I couldn't even concentrate on selecting my order. It also smelled like old wet towel, which was a turn off. I'm not a fan of the environment but it isn't a show stopper. There's a self order kiosk where you can order and wait outside to escape the noise and smell. I'd return for drinks next time I'm in the area. read more
There was a line out the door for this matcha shop, and the ordering was through a kiosk! I opted for the mango matcha and the drink came out surprisingly fast ( an even faster option would be ordering online to pick up in store) The matcha wasnt as bold as i thought it would be, and it was more on the milkier side. I noticed that they just have a pitcher of premade matcha that they used to fill the drink cups. read more
Drinks we got were delicious, but they were out of a lot of items. Heads up that the place is quite small and only big enough to order, but there's lots of space outside of the shop with areas to sit. Service was quick and the only con was that they were blasting the music at obscene levels and the speaker was directed straight where you order lol read more
Aesthetic cute tea store! Their matcha latte was good but not the strongest I've ever had! But they do have a banana pudding matcha latte as well that's pretty good! But once you do mix it, you can't really taste the banana pudding. The drinks came out relatively fast but they only have one tablet to order from so the wait there can take a bit. Parking is super easy since it's in a large plaza! read more

I've been on the hunt for all the banana matchas around the bay and had to check out cere tea from all the reviews I've heard. Cere tea is located in the right middle of the plaza. Theres a ton of parking but could be really packed on the weekend! I ordered the matcha einspanner and banana matcha. The base is whole milk but you can choose oat milk, lactose free milk and I believe almond milk. You can also adjust sweetness. The banana matcha was really good! Super light, banana cream had real banana and it blended really well with the drink. Sweetness was also perfect for me. My husband also really enjoyed the matcha einspanner (75% sweetness is perfect for this drink which is what they recommended)! Definitely will be coming back for my matcha craving! read more
This spot has seen quite a few dessert and drink shops come and go. Stopped by after dim sum to grab a couple of drinks. The line wasn't long, but the drink-making process was on the slower side. Since the shop is tiny, customers ended up crowding the entrance. I ordered the banana pudding matcha einspanner since I'm a fan of banana flavors. I've tried similar versions elsewhere, and this one was just okay in comparison. The banana pudding itself was tasty, but the matcha came out a bit watered down. read more
Parking here was tough, even though the lot is big, it was completely full when I went on a Sunday afternoon. There was a short line, and it took about 15 minutes total to order and get my drink, but they work pretty fast. No seating area- it's strictly pick-up and go. You can also order ahead, which would probably save time. I ordered at the kiosk and got a matcha latte at 50% sweetness, it was absolutely perfect. Probably one of my favorite matcha spots in the bay area and I'd definitely be a frequent visitor here just for the matcha quality. read more
This drink shop was recommended by a friend. They said it is quite famous and was brought in from another place, specializing in matcha-flavored drinks. Today I decided to buy a variety of teas to try. The matcha flavor is quite strong. I chose the matcha peach latte, which wasn't bad, but the flavors felt a bit mismatched. Out of all the matcha spots in the Bay Area, this has easily become my favorite spot. This location is tucked into a plaza. There is a parking lot that gets pretty busy. If you can, I suggest ordering ahead because there is usually a line. For an extra shot of matcha, it's $1.00 which is pretty fair considering I've seen places charge upwards up $2.00. I got the strawberry matcha and my boyfriend got the mango matcha. We loveeeeed our drinks. The fruit flavor mixed so well with the matcha and it balanced eachother out. You didn't lose the matcha flavor nor was the fruit flavor hidden after mixing the drink. So so good. read more

By far the best matcha place in the bay. You can actually taste the matcha in the drinks and it's the primary flavor. Each drink builds on the matcha taste to add other flavors in that complement it. At other places you just get sweet cream and the matcha taste is an afterthought. Location is just a small pickup spot but there's ample seating outside as it's located in a food plaza. Plenty of parking nearby but the drinks come out quick if you're just stopping by. read more

We were excited to try this place since it's really hyped but it fell a bit short :( It's fine- matcha is a little grainy and not the highest quality. We got the Matcha Strawberry Einspanner and Kokuto Hojicha Einspanner. Small little place no seating, but there are tables outside in the plaza. read more

Solid spot when you need to get your matcha fix in. The first time I came here, I got the Matcha Strawberry ($7) and it was pretty good! Good enough to make me come back. When I came yesterday evening, I decided to try the Strawberry Matcha Einspänner ($7.50). I think that $0.50 difference is worth it because the dollop of cream on top made the drink 10x better. It tasted like strawberry matcha ice cream and it's safe to say that it will be my new go-to. Even my boyfriend, who isn't the biggest fan of matcha, really enjoyed the drink! Depending on the time of day you go, parking might be a little bit difficult. The shop is a bit small but the interior was so minimalistic and cute hehe very aesthetic. I waited in line for a few minutes since there's only one kiosk to place your order at. But if you're in a rush I think you can place your order online ahead of time so that you don't need to wait as long. I'll be back again for another Einspänner!! read more
Favorite matcha in the bay. Best for people who like their matcha drinks with a STRONG tea flavor. It has hints of bitterness, umami, bit nutty and imo I find the quality super consistent. Their earl grey matcha latte is my go to. Every drink, you get a good balance of matcha and sweetness. I enjoy the strawberry matcha einspanner as well but it's kind of too sweet for me to be ordering it everytime. It is a really good dessert drink. I've also tried their osmanthus matcha latte and it was also good as well. Love the interior, no seats though. They blast EDM music there and you order on the kiosk. They added posters on the wall and it's really cute. read more
This location is convenient and close to work so I have been enjoying my afternoon pick-me-ups. I am a huge fan of Hojicha but have not found any shops that carry it (the last spot that carried Hojicha was Blue Bottle but they took it off the menu). I ordered the Hojicha Latte with Oat Milk and the least amount of sweetness. The drink comes out fairly quickly after ordering. They have pre-made Hojicha and Matcha (concentrated) which they pour over your milk of choice. It's simple. It works. And it's delicious. It's the ordering process that takes a while as some folks sit their deciding on their drinks. It would be convenient to have a menu somewhere inside. You could also order on their website which allows you to cut in line/avoid the long wait. Cheers. read more
Big fan of the Cere Tea in Saratoga, so it was nice seeing another location pop up in Milpitas. They have lots of great options and are super fast in fulfilling orders. Staff is friendly and helpful when asking about recommendations. The store doesn't have any seating but is nice, bright, and clean. I usually order the matcha latte or the Kokuto hojicha latte. I also order all my drinks half sweet and that's enough because the quality is really good here. read more
Everything was refreshing albeit a bit expensive. Ordering was a pain too with the super small building size. Felt like sardines in a tin can type situation. I liked the strawberry puree drink as it was refreshing and ice cold, with a great texture. The hojicha had a good flavor and was creamy. read more
Ceré Tea is located in the same plaza as Koi Palace. There is quite a large parking lot. We didn't have any trouble finding parking on a Sunday around 11 am. The shop itself is small, but cutely decorated. They have an iPad at the front where you can order. Banana cream topping on top of matcha is all the hype right now so I jumped on the bandwagon to try. The first thing I noticed is that they don't whisk their matcha fresh here. They have a large pitcher of premade matcha that they use to pour on top of your milk of choice (they have dairy free options as well). The banana cream is delicious. Creamy and not too sweet. The crumbles add a dessert feel and a textural crunch. The cream is quick thick so sipping is a little tricky unless you move the cream to the side. The matcha quality was just so-so. Not the highest quality I've had, but not the worst. 50% sweetness is good if you like to taste a little bit of bitterness in the matcha. Drinking it with the banana cream adds the perfect amount of sweetness. If you don't want any bitterness I'd recommend 75% or 100% sweetness. The hojicha is strong and bold which was much appreciated. A good alternative if you don't like matcha. The cream on top adds some sweetness and creaminess when sipped together. They have some seasonal options as well. Currently they're offering some peach variations of their drinks. Service was quick. We waited about 5-7 minutes for our drinks to be made. Overall, it was an okay experience with average flavor for the drink itself and good einspanner topping (cream). read more
Once you walk in you can order at the kiosk. The store is small/no seating. I got the strawberry matcha einspanner and the presentation was nice!!! Drink was good, def need to be mixed. There was a mix of strawberry sauce and real bits of strawberry in there. The cream def helped bring the drink together. The matcha itself was a bit on the grassy/bitter side. First time trying this place... Came around 11-11:30 on a Saturday and it wasn't busy! Kind of hard to spot in the plaza imo. Order at a little kiosk. No where to really sit, very small space with no chairs. Drinks were made very quickly (no one ahead of us but ppl came after). Ordered 2 different types of matcha! Banana pudding matcha einspanner: 6.5/10 - It was pretty good but I've had better elsewhere for banana matcha. I got the drink at standard and I personally would like it a little sweeter. The cream at the top with the crumbs was so yum! Matcha flavor overall was okay, more on the earthy side but still good! I felt the banana flavor could have been stronger. Strawberry matcha: 7.5/10 - this is a solid strawberry matcha! Pretty average, matcha flavor was good and I like the strawberry bits in the drink. Sweetness at standard was good. 11/10. Got the Matcha Einspanner and Kokuto Hojicha Einspanner. Drinks came out fast, delicious, and just the right amount of sweetness. I wasn't really into matcha until I tried Ceretea. Small store, so it's good for a quick grab and go. Staff are efficient and consistent with the drinks. read more
This was a really great matcha spot! Keep in mind: the store itself is super small and is intended for only grab-and-go's. There's a couple of outdoor tables though! I ordered the strawberry matcha. The matcha here isn't as sweet compared to other matcha stores which I appreciated, but it does lean slightly grassy. Service was really quick and you can order via the kiosk. read more
We were craving Matcha so we decided to try. Got Matcha Einspanner and Matcha Mango. It could use more matcha powder. But it was good. Both drinks tasted really fresh. Decent amount of sweetness. Went in on a weekday afternoon and there was no line. The staff were in the back at the time but you can order through the kiosk. I got the Matcha Einspänner and was able to adjust the sweetness and ice level. The matcha was well brewed and the cream was a nice touch. There were many interesting drinks, so I'd definitely come back here to try them. The price of the drinks are comparable to other matcha places in San Jose. There's no seating inside, so it's definitely more of a take out place. The place did not have any decor at the time, so it looks rather unassuming but that shouldn't detract you from trying it out. The store is located in a plaza, so there's usually parking, although it can get busy on the weekends, as Koi Palace (popular dimsum restaurant) is right above it. read more

Amazingly strong and creamy matcha lattes in this casual tiny shop. You can tell cere tea uses authentic and high quality matcha. My default order is 25% sweetness for a drink that's not too sweet and with light ice, so you can taste the strong matcha; no need for an extra shot of matcha $1. I recommend placing an order online as they only have one order kiosk and there always seems to be 1-2 groups of people waiting to order. They do make the drinks quite fast, I usually get my drink in 5min. read more
So happy Ceré opened a second location (much more convenient location)! The shop is really small and tucked between some restaurants and easy to miss unless you're looking for the name. This is a order and pick up type of place, but there's a handful of seats to enjoy and yap with friends outside. Depending when you go, the line may be long but drinks are made in a reasonable time. I've been meaning to try the banana matcha latte from here and the matcha itself was tasty though the banana cream was a bit underwhelming. It leaves a nice subtle banana flavor, but if you're looking for a stronger banana taste that won't be the case. Overall, would come back again to try other matcha drinks from here! read more
Drinks here are great. One of my favorite matcha places in the area. My favorite is the Earl Grey Matcha Latte with an extra shot. I tend to like my drinks less sweet and they have a plethora of options to customize your drink, including oat/whole milk options. Service was quick and friendly. You do order on a single iPad they had on the counter. I came on a Saturday morning when they opened at 10 AM, so your mileage may vary. You can also order online for pick up, which is probably what I do during busier times. The space is cute and they have a little speaker playing music. The store is very small so we spent most of our time outside waiting and enjoying the beverages. read more
OK, I am definitely not impressed with this establishment. Last week, I wanted to try one of their drink drinks that evidently sold out on a Monday. How can you be sold out on Monday already? It's not like a bus full of tourist purchased the same kind of drink. So today I am about to go back home for a four-day weekend and thought I would give this place another try. Even though they had the drink that I wanted originally, it took them at least five minutes, just making my drink, and I was the only customer there. Interestingly enough, one of the staff was socializing on their phone and it appears I guess I am not friends enough for them to speed up the process of making my drink. Final Thoughts: 2.30/5 We've been to the Cere Tea at the Saratoga location multiple times and their matcha items have been consistently good there for a while. After our food run today, we diverted to go here as our other matcha location we wanted to try was no longer an option at the moment. We were hoping to get the same quality as their other location, but unfortunately, it was kind of a disappointment. It's going to have to be a 2 star for me today. Drinks: Banana Pudding Matcha Einspanner; Almond Milk, 25% Sweetness: 2.5/5 Best part of this drink really is the banana pudding, which I'm assuming is premade vanilla pudding with some banana whipped into it. The banana flavor comes out really nicely and the pudding is very creamy. Wished they offered me their baby wooden spoon. The crumble of vanilla wafers on top really does not disappoint in this one. For the matcha drink itself, the flavor was lacking and the matcha was grassy to me. The first sip was honestly not it. The flavor of matcha was just not what I was expecting given my current expectations of this place. Sweetness was actually good for me, especially when it's fully combined. This is highly inconsistent with what I am used to at their other location. Of note, they do offer a good variety of milk options. It does come with an upcharge, but it is a plus regardless. Osmanthus Matcha Latte (Not pictured): 2.0/5 My friend's drink that I tried for review purposes. The osmanthus flavor is very light and drowns in this drink. Upon receiving, I could already tell that I was going to be disappointed because of the color that I observed. Very light already. I understand that we didn't get an additional shot of matcha (upcharge of $1), but the amount of matcha in this drink was just underwhelming. Boba texture was seemingly the texture of boba that's been sitting in the fridge overnight. My friend attributed this to perhaps boba that was made and has been sitting for the whole day now. Fair assumption, but the texture was "gritty" and leans on the harder side. I would have preferred a more chewier texture. Flavor wise for this boba also disappointed us because it lacked a lot of flavor. For something with a texture like that, I would assume it was marinating the whole day, but perhaps it was sitting in water or something. --------- Quality: Not up to par The drink that my friend and I got today were not the best perhaps. The color of the matcha was so light and just underwhelming. Typically, I wouldn't complain about their matcha drinks here because they've been consistently good at their Saratoga location. This goes for the smell, look, and taste. Here, the only thing really saving the drink was the banana pudding. The matcha tasted grassy for me and the first sip was just not satisfactory. Color was very light and the flavor left me disappointed and wanting more. Same thing for my friend's drink. Color and taste of that matcha was not up to par. Price: $$$ For the size and item today, that is one expensive cup of matcha. My drink came out to be around $10. They do have an upcharge for everything, including milk alternatives. My preference for milk is almond milk and this was an additional 80 cents...Per my review of past menus from other Yelpers, their prices have increased within the past x6 months. This place was already leaning on the more expensive side to begin with, but now with the price increasing even more, it's sounding even more unreasonable. Now, this would be fine, assuming their quality is up to par. Unfortunately, I can't say that that is the case for this location at least. Service: Zero interactions There was zero interactions from when we arrived to the time that we left. The store itself is small, so we waited outside. The kiosk is in the front, so we just ordered there and then picked up our drinks when we saw it in the front. No speaker, sign, text, or warning to when our drink was ready. Ambiance: Smol white interior The interior is very small, has no tables, limited standing space, and feels very cold. Honestly, there was just the front counter with the Kiosk in the middle and then some straws in the container to the side. Nothing more, nothing less. No signs, pictures, decorations, nothing. Even the front door didn't have any signage. Location/Parking: Will need some more signage; parking lot appears aight This shop is located in the Milpitas Ulferts Center. There are quite a few different restaurants, shops, and stores here. Some of the places have been here for a while and their location within this plaza is better known. If not, finding the stop might be a little harder. We walked around looking for this place and the lack of signs outside really didn't help either. Parking wise, seems optimal for this plaza. There are parking spaces all around this place, so I don't see parking being a concern. Of note, there are quite a few spots to charge your electric vehicle here, as well if that applies to you. read more

I can see why this place is busy! Amidst the trends of matcha and banana cream matcha lattes, this place has actually lived up to the hype! I got the Mango Matcha Latte- This drink looked super aesthetically pleasing. The top had white cream and in the center of the cream is a little bit of the mango puree. This gave it the look of a sunny side up egg! The matcha itself was hitting from all the right spots and the mango flavoring worked so well with the matcha. It was near the perfect match as if it was made for each other! Banana Cream Matcha - The banana cream was delicious! At lower levels of sugar the cream served as an alternative sweetener to he matcha. There were biscuit bits and crumbs on the top of the banana cream and once swirled and mixed together with the banana and matcha, it was an absolute delight on my tastebuds. read more

Drinks are so good! This is one of the best einspanners Ive ever had! The cream on top is so good and once mixed into the drink it adds a delicious texture. Ive also tried the regular matcha latte, the hojicha latte, earl gray, and osmanthus flavors. Theyre all really good! The only drink I didnt like was the brown sugar drink. The drinks are a tad sweet but at 25% sugar with almond milk is perfect for me. Service is good, theyre always super quick to make the drinks and are pretty friendly and nice. Store is small but its bright and feels like a on the go cafe. The decorations are fun to look at too! read more
We got the Banana Pudding Matcha Einspanner. This was just ok. It's not bad in terms of flavor or price, but it's nothing special. If you're looking for strong matcha, I wouldn't recommend this place. Service was good; our drinks came out in a timely manner. No inside seating. Parking can get a little crazy with the amount of restaurants in this plaza. read more
